In short, Doug Jones reneged dubiously on a documented warranty repair, and they dragged their feet to do so.I bought a house in April, and the seller submitted a warranty claim with Doug Jones for a broken hinge on a storm door. The hinge was backordered. Doug Jones confirmed the situation – the sale, the repair, and the backorder – in a written letter.Doug Jones scheduled the repair for May, and I received no visit or call. I learned that the tech had refused to repair the door because it was too far gone. I challenged this (its a hinge), and Doug Jones promised to follow up.I made multiple calls to the office, with the same promise for follow-up each time. On my latest call in June last week, Doug Jones tells me that the door brand is not in their catalog and they will not fix the hinge.Frustrated, I tell them that I still have a broken door -- could they repair it outside of warranty? No, they tell me, We cant.Doug Jones struggled throughout. I had to call them to learn the part had arrived; I had to call again to get on their work schedule; I had to call to learn their tech had supposedly visited and denied the repair; I then had to call to learn they had changed their story and actually didnt install this door at all - two months later.They wont even take payment to make the repair. This was after Doug Jones had supposedly ordered and received the part.Either someone screwed up and they buried it for two months, or they floundered to admit they had misrepresented their warranty. Both versions make Doug Jones look sloppy and lazy. Doug Jones mismanagement of this situation for so long is completely unprofessional.

Will never use them again did poor workman ship looks like a little kid did the work

We had all of our windows replaced 2 sliding glass doors, vinyl siding, gutters and downspouts. Work was done quickly and professionally.

We had vinyl siding done by Carl at Doug Jones. Let me tell you, this guy does excellent, craftsman level work. Every piece was hand cut and PERFECT! I have used Doug Jones Home Improvements to build a porch enclosure, siding and gutters on 2 different houses the past 25 years. I have always been pleased with their work until now. I was in the process of selling my house and a small portion of wood became rotted because the siding they put on was not fastened properly. Water leaked behind siding and rotted a small section of wood. I contacted the office several times. I was told that I am on their schedule. It has been 3 months! I have yet to hear from Doug Jones. I had to pay another company $250 to fix their mistake. I am extremely disappointed that Doug Jones Home Improvement Company doesn’t stand by their work and fix errors in a timely manner.

Our extended family have all used them for years! They replaced all but one of our windows last year and did a fantastic job. Arrived exactly when they said they would, they were professional and courteous. We had the last window replaced this week and couldnt be happier! Highly reccomend!!

Had windows replace and all exterior made maintenance free. They did an aweso.e job. No issues. No complaints.

The owners wife called my 70 yr old mother and threatening to take my mothers house because the insurance had not mailed the check in a timely manner that she seen fit she was very rude and nasty i was very disgusted by her actions she is awnry I do not recommend

We had our gutters, overhang and front porch rapped with siding about 4 years ago. We are now experiencing leaking getting behind the siding causing a leak and they will not return our calls. My husband has called multiple times with no return call from the owner which is always promised. We have a large hole in our kitchen from water damage. We have had our roof replaced and the roof company has been out several times and IT IS NOT THE ROOF! I would not recommend this company to anyone. Which is really sad because we referred several neighbors😔

If you are in the market for new windows I highly recommend Doug Jones Home Improvement. Great job, good window and fantastic representative in David Mottley. Installation was fantastic as well.I had all the big names (Gilkey, Pella, Champion and Window World) come out for estimates. Gilkey and Champion were almost 13,000 Pella was $9,500 and Window World was about $7700. All prices are WITHOUT any upgrades for 11 double hung and 2 casement windows.Everyone wants to tell your their window is best. I can tell you after multiple estimates, they are all designed the same. The difference is in how many coatings they put on the glass, what they seal the gas inside with, what the locks attach to etc...Doug Jones quoted us an Alside Mezzo style window. We upgraded our glass for better U Factor and SHGC ratings, paid a little extra to have the front 4 windows be a 60/40 split and paid extra to have bronze colored windows vs. white or beige. $1985 for the upgrades and they STILL came in over $700 lower than Window World, three next lowest price, (at their quote with no upgrades). I cant imagine what the others would have cost with upgrades.The Mezzo window had a nice thin frame too so we didnt lose hardly any visibility going from an old wood window to vinyl. Warranty is great as well.Installation crew was great. Very nice. On time and cleaned up everything as they should. They even put all my mini blinds back in place that I took down for them.If you need any home improvement done, I wouldnt hesitate to call them. Very satisfied.Installers were Carl and Brian Corder.
