Mr. Seelye is second to none as far as true furriers are concerned. His fur crafting, repair and remodeling skills are of the highest order. Ive had several fur garments tended to by Mr. Seelye and his workmanship is obvious in the final product. I enjoy knowing that my garments are in excellent keeping when I turn them over to Mr. Seelye for either storage or repair. He also maintains a fine selection of garments on site, and can produce whatever one desires.

With these sub-zero temperatures I am so thankful for John and Steven Seelye! I got a small rip in my fox coat and they took my coat and fixed it in a timely fashion! This was in line with all of their new business, even though they were so busy!! I love all of the items I have received as gifts or purchased from them in the past. As the only true local furrier in the Louisville, KY area, they are wonderful!

My late Father did business with John Seelye for many years-he only bought fur coats from the best.My Mother passed away last year and I inherited 3 of her fur costs, 2 from John Seelye and 1 from another from local furrier.I needed to have them all appraised and valued for possible sale.When I explained that I did not need written appraisals for home owners insurance - I just needed to know their value- John took a few minutes of his time to look them over -even the coat from another furrier and informed me of their value free of charge.We then spent a few minutes reminiscing about my parents - both long and loyal customers.John Seelye is the best!

Ive been taking my mink coat to John Seelye for nearly 20 years. In addition to replacing the lining and other small repairs, they keep it in storage there over the warmer months. I have always found Mr. Seelye and his associates to be very professional and nice.Another reviewer said he and his wife had a really rotten experience there, but realize that everyone has a bad day every now and then. Perhaps that was the case. I was rather surprised to read this review, thats the only reason Im addressing it. I have no connection to the place aside from keeping my coat there, so mine is an objective review. Im picking up my coat there tomorrow and look forward to seeing them.

Amazing and quaint family owned furrier in Hurstbourne/Plainview area. They take the time to listen to your needs. All they need to do is serve champagne and they would get 6 stars (but there are only 5 to select).

John Seelye is a mean guy with a sarcastic tone. We took in an almost new leather coat with a rabbit lining to get his opinion on alterations or trade in. He insulted my wifes weight and our taste. Unless you enjoy being insulted you should stay away from this store.

John and Barb Seelye are very nice people, with great prices.
