Tim is just an amazing man with just about the most gentle spirit you’ll ever find in a human being. In saying that don’t mistake his kindness for weakness as I’d venture to say there’s no type of pain or suffering Tim hasn’t personally come through giving him both the knowledge and the empathy required to be the best. My story is that back in October of 2016 my girlfriend of almost a year suspected rightfully so that I had relapsed and so she called my therapist Tim. Within a few minutes Tim and my girlfriend were convinced I was using (and I was) and I was so my girlfriend Amanda called everywhere to see if there was an open bed for me and there was finally one at the Brook in st Matthews where hours later she would drive and check me into this facility. I’m writing this comment to publicly thank Tim Schaland and my gf for making sure I checked in somewhere immediately that early October 2016. I wouldn’t be here must less at a year sobriety had these two individuals Tim Schaland and Amanda B. not been there to save me as when I was unable to save myself. I hope when you look around your community and should you happen to see someone suffering from addiction as I was back then you can find the courage and unconditional love it takes to take a minute to pray with them, feed them, etc etc. It’s this kind of love I’m referring to that just might have the potential to change our community therefore changing our world
