My husband and I got married at the Whetstone Center a couple weeks ago and we absolutely LOVED the venue. The venue is reasonably priced for all the different, totally gorgeous nature views it has to offer and Hannah was always a call or text away if we had any questions. The venue has so many beautiful areas for pictures- the river, a vineyard, fields, farm views. It’s absolutely beautiful. We were looking for a venue where we could customize our wedding to how we wanted it, and the Whetstone provided that. They also allow dogs, not just at the ceremony but the reception as well! Thank you, Hannah for helping us make our wedding day special and memorable!

What a gem!! This was the perfect venue for my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration. An abundance of guests praised the ambiance, location & offerings. Hannah @ Whetstone was always kind, helpful & extremely responsive to all inquiries I had. Will definitely keep Whetstone top of mind for any future events.

Lovely wedding venue! Great outdoor area for the kids to play during the reception.

Great venue! Only negative is the aluminum ceiling in the reception hall area, which affords bad acoustics which can make conversations difficult with larger gatherings.

This is a beautiful facility the management is fantastic as well as helpful. We threw an 11th birthday party .

It was a very nice place to hold a wedding

We just had our wedding at the Whetstone Center last weekend, and even though planning and executing a wedding during the COVID craziness I would recommend this venue to everyone! Hannah is such a great contact and works with you however she can! They set tables up for you, and as far as cleaning goes they just ask you take out what you bring in. The venue is gorgeous and having a turfed area for the outdoor ceremony area made for a wonderful bonus. The price point for Whetstone is also one of the best deals in Stark County and I would get married here again in a heartbeat!!!

I had my wedding and reception here at the end of August. The venue itself is gorgeous and provides endless amounts of scenic views and photo ops for you and your guests. The inside is rustic and charming and provides a great canvas to create a stunning event! The staff and Hannah were nothing short of wonderful, answering every question and concern along the way. I highly recommend this venue to anyone interested, it is well priced, beautiful, and stressfree!!

Our company went to an event at The Whetstone Center earlier this year and it passed all expectations. The facility was gorgeous, and had newly refinished floors and facelift. It captures the quaint rustic feel; and even has fields surrounding it, a small vineyard, and the gorgeous lake.

Had my daughters baby shower there. Very nice place. Nice ammemities. The view of the surrounding outdoors was great.

The price was great and its a beautiful place whether your outside or inside. The only complaint I have was the small bldg. were my son had his wedding because it started to rain the bldg. needs to have air conditioning put in because we were all miserable with the weather being humid and hot, they were smart enough to put heat in the bldg. now add air conditioning! Would recommend this place to everyone!

My husband and I hosted our wedding here with adjustments made due to COVID-19, and it was a beautiful wedding. Hannah was extremely patient with us as our plans kept changing and werent even sure if we could keep our date. Her and the owners were flexible with us and we couldnt have asked for a more beautiful and intimate venue.The space itself was so pretty I personally did not feel it needed much decoration. Plenty of options for a ceremony site and plenty of space to arrange however you need it to be. I always felt like I could ask questions through the wedding planning process. I was able to visit several times as we decided how we wanted to set up and decorate as well. I cant say enough nice things, truly!

I recently held my bridal shower at The Whetstone Center, and I had an excellent experience. Hannah was a pleasure to work with, very accommodating and helpful throughout the planning process! Very welcoming, and personable. I highly recommend hosting a celebration or event at The Whetstone Center!Thank You Hannah!

Went for my Granddaughters Bridal Brunch. Very nice building, location and view was beautiful. Will recommend it. My daughter and the brides mother in law did a fantastic job of hosting a great Brunch. Had an amazing day.

Attended a wedding here. It was fabulous. The couple hosted a Sunday afternoon wedding. The outdoor space was great for all the kids. Plenty of space to move around. The facility is really pretty.

The Whetstone Center has a calm rural setting. The banquet hall is nice but a blank slate so it helps to bring your own lights and decorations to spruce it up. All of the staff we met were helpful, accommodating and patient during the reception planning process. Only gave four stars because the air conditioning system is undersized for the banquet hall and kitchen. Beware scheduling any date that could be hot. Mid to late fall could be especially beautiful in this setting on a cooler day.

I am so glad we came across the Whetstone Center for our wedding venue. The land around the venue is gorgeous with so many options to choose from for your wedding ceremony spot. They have a lovely designated ceremony spot on the top of the hill with the lake backdrop and an amazing pergola. We however loved the backdrop near the green and growing vineyard, we were so lucky they had a portable pergola option which we chose and Hannah worked with us greatly to figure all of those logistic out. For us, the vineyard was the absolute best backdrop for our wedding ceremony. Of course it was a bonus that they had the indoor ceremony chapel area in case of rain which we just nearly beat! There’s also plenty of gorgeous outdoor photo backdrops to choose from - from the vineyard, lots of greenery and nature around, a driveway encompassed with trees, corn crops on the side of their land, and of course the gorgeous lake on their newly constructed deck! (Lake background was our favorite!)The inside of the reception venue was AMAZING. We were sold as soon as we walked in to see beautiful red brick and wooden beams, turned the corner and saw the wall of bay windows looking over the lake. We couldn’t have found a more perfect spot. It held all 110 of our guests just fine and still had a great dance floor. We enjoyed having the bar room separate as well. Then having the cornhole boards during cocktail hour was a cool perk too!Working with Hannah was amazing! I cant say enough good things about her. She was always happy, and helpful. Anytime I would text or email her she responded quickly and with great advice and ideas. I would and DO recommend the Whetstone Center to EVERYONE. So thankful we had the perfect venue for our special day.

We had our sons wedding and reception at Whetstone in May of 2015. It was a wonderful venue. The grounds are so beautiful with lush greens and a gorgeous lake. The views are breathtaking and a wonderful backdrop for photography. We used the small chapel for the wedding and the reception hall for the reception. The wedding had about 70 guests and the chapel was the perfect size. The reception hall was perfect with a great kitchen facility. Bathrooms are clean and easily accessible. It was about 85 degrees that day and the air conditioning in the hall was plenty welcome!! Lots of room for our guests as well as a side room we used as a game room. It was an all- around wonderful experience.

Ok so the place was nice besides the cigarette buts and beer cans left outside that we had to clean up before our wedding which I took pictures of! also I don’t know if this is whetstones fault or there cleaners but they kept our 250$ deposit and said it took there cleaners 6 hrs to clean up that night but couldn’t tell us what they had to clean up! which was impossible because the wedding was over at midnight and I had to come grab my car at 4am and the place had not a soul there anywhere so we were lied to after we triple checked that the place was clean before we left! But other then that Tess and Hannah were helpful and answered any questions we had besides the cleaning part! I strongly recommend taking before AND after pictures so you have proof that the place is left the way you found it or better!!!

This place is great! Owned by great people. You can plan your dream even here and its right around the corner from the new ForeverLawn Inc. home offices. Great venue, great people. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place but its a shame they didnt integrate into the community. They started a business on agricultural land then pushed money to get it switched to commercial.I hope they at least employ people from the community and keep the money local but considering the past I wouldnt bet on it in the future.Beautiful place all the same.

Met with Tess yesterday to look at the venue and was very impressed. Tess is a wonderful young woman. Beautiful spaces inside and out. I strongly disagree with the statement that they have not integrated with the community. The Karmies have gone above and beyond working with the Marlboro Police and Fire Departments. Both departments have used the facility for training including the lake and the police department has been provided space to use as a shooting range. In addition to this, when events require security present, the Whetstone Center hires off duty Marlboro Police Officers. So the correct answer is YES Whetstone Center does A LOT for the community especially our First Responders.

Loved the water view. Very cute place for any smaller celebration. I was a guest for a graduation party so Im not sure about how many it can seat but Im guessing 120-ish comfortably. But could also be good for a smaller party of 50-ish w/o being overwhelmingly big.

The Staff here have helped the Marlboro Fire company with our Christmas party every year. They have allowed us to do ice rescue training at their facilities multiple times through the years. It is a pleasure to work with them on any event. Thank you for supporting our community.

Pretty Venue, attended a wedding and reception there. Buildings are small and on the hot side but they are building what looks to bigger updated venues on the property.

Beautiful place. Would highly recommend it for any wedding, retirement party, etc. They have a pontoon that staff will give you a ride on.
