Bought my first ever car insurance in US through Marcus in Gary Smith State Farm office. Had a great experience with them ever since. Unbeatable rates and most importantly very welcoming and proactive. They called me multiple times to ask for satisfaction and any concerns. Gary and his team takes really good care of their clients. Met Gary several times and he provided multiple options as per my needs. Recommended.

I got my insurance from the 800 number and they chose the agent...the location is inconvenient especially when there are 2 within 2-3 miles from my house. Its a little aggravating because I have to complete all interactions over the phone. I usually end up using the 800 number because someone always answers.

Bailey and Brennen who work here are both very nice. They helped me apply several discounts to my original policy, and then when I needed to change my policy to lower coverage after paying off my vehicle, I was surprised at how easy it was - it took less than 10 minutes in-office. They were also really patient with me in terms of payment processing after the new premium took effect. Also, I have not found any other car insurance agency in Louisville that is a better priced than State Farm. I highly recommend them!

Gary and his team are very nice and patient to help me solve the problem and find the best policy with lowest price. They are always smiling and willing to listen to customers. They also have a good location for people who live in down town.

I wish there were less starts so that I can give it to this business!! Don’t trust the 5 starts reviews they certainly from friends and family and some of them are definitely from the very people who work there. This business lured me in with a low premium and then exponentially increased it a couple of months after! I am not the only client who complain about this. The customer service is very poor, people who work their don’t know what they are doing. My premium almost doubled after a couple of months and when I first called to ask for an explanation, my agent told me that my car (a Nissan Altima) was more prone to getting into an accident and it’s a worldwide issue with that Nissan model🤦🏽‍♂️, which made no sense at all. He also added that if I was not happy I could go somewhere else. Then I called the State Farm national number and explained to them what the agent said, they COULD not believe it. They said it was preposterous and there is no such a thing as “a car that is more prone to accidents”. They asked me to file a complaint, which I did. When I called Gary Smith State Farm again, another person who works there told me that my premium went up because they removed my safe drive discount although I installed it within the time frame they gave me. Every time I called to ask for an explanation, they gave me conflicting accounts! The incompetence was blatant and frustrating, they could not fix their own mess. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR INSURANCE!!!!!! YOU CAN FIND BETTER SERVICE AND BETTER PRICES SOMEWHERE ELSE!

This branch used to be helpful. But as of late its been terrible! I recieved a charge on my bill that wasnt brought to my attention. When I spoke with brennan about it, he told me a lie! He said he would move the charge to July bill. But I was charged anyways and it caused me to have an overdraft! Taking the money from my savings wasnt what I wanted to do. When I spoke with Gary about the situation, he danced around what I was saying and said he would pass it along to brennan to contact me. No call at all! Very bad business! So much for trying to budget your money with these guys.

First, I would not trust 5 star reviews. I have seen employees of the agency posting some of these reviews in the past. Second, this agency has reneged on their agreed price twice in the last two months. Their agents are either incompetent or dishonest.Run far far away. I wish I knew then what I know now. I will cancel my policy as soon as I believe my rates elsewhere will not increase.
