Hello all. This is the second time VFD was able to get me in same day on an urgent basis. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And Dr. Bae is very professional, yet personable. Overall just very impressed!! Thank you VFD team!!

They would not provide an itemized receipt after giving me an amount that was different than when I went in. When I had my appointment, they charged me double what they stated over the phone. I asked several times for a reason it had doubled and they wouldnt explain in a coherent way, maybe the receptionists dont know?I asked several times.If the whole cleaning is not covered by the family plan they should make that clear. Instead of making me think its covered and then charging double what was stated. And I asked 4 or 5 times why it was so much different and the woman in the front never gave me a clear answer or anything printed for what I was paying for. Ugh! This was so embarrassing.

I’ve been going to Valencia Family Dental for about 8 years. I love the staff and Dr. Tim is the best dentist I’ve ever had. I recently finished Invisalign with Dr. Tim. He was always very thorough at every appointment and his assistant Jeanette was great too.

Amanda did a wonderful job! I loved that she didn’t talk to me the whole time and got her job done. She was very professional and nice. I almost switched dentists from a bad previous visit but I’m happy that they hired a new hygienist.

I brought my mom to see Dr Bae for fillings. She is 81 and very nervous about dental procedures. The whole staff made my mother feel comfortable and safe in the chair. June 7, 2020Have been working on a dental implant since October, 2019. Got all the prelim stuff done, then CV-19 set in for a couple months. When I could finallly get back in to the office the dentist (wont say who) admitted that he ordered the wrong implant tooth that didnt fit me, so I again have to wait. That was 4 weeks ago, still havent heard anything, still have an empty area in my mouth. Staff and dentist are wonderful people, and I give the dentist many kudos for admitting he made a big mistake. I would just love to get this done before I hit the one year mark.

Im so disappointed. Ive been coming here since I was a child, but it looks like Im going to have to find somewhere new.I had an appointment scheduled for months and drove 50 minutes from Albuquerque, only to be told my appointment was canceled. I never received an email or courtesy call. In fact, the evening prior, I confirmed the appointment. The lady in the office was not willing to work with me, which was very upsetting as I had driven so far. Looks like new care is the better option.My father no longer comes here, as they filed his front tooth incorrectly. I should have took his advice and not returned in the first place.My trust of this establishment is completely shattered.

I have been coming here for years. I love my dental hygienist Jeanette! She is always gentle and thorough, and she always puts me at ease with comfortable conversation.They have started doing something new where an Assistant sees you first if you come in for a cleaning and they do the polishing and flossing first. Then the hygienist comes to in to clean your teeth which seems backwards and makes no sense to me. Iwould prefer that all of my cleaning be done by my hygienist whom I know and trust. Its very anxiety inducing to allow a new person to work on my teeth. I will be asking before my next appointment if all of my care can be done by my hygienist.

I was a new patient and my first impression as I entered the building was how modern and upscale it felt. Waiting room was as if I was sitting in my living room. It was very inviting and comfortable. I was greeted with a friendly smile and in a courteous manner. Waiting time was short. When I was called I went back to an impressive state of the art facility. Dr. Bae and Randy, the hygienist, were very nice and easy going, professional, very knowledgeable and they walked me through a reasonable treatment plan for the health of my gums and teeth . Overall, I had a positive experience and I will continue to see them for all my dental needs.

Had an awesome first visit. The tech I had do my cleaning was great. Dr Bae was very informative and helpful in going over any issues he saw. And the invoicing and quotes provided for dental work are itemized and clear on what you’d be paying for and what your insurance is covering. Highly recommended.

We saw Dr Mason for a check up and cleaning. As a long time patient of Dr Mason, there were no surprises. He’s fantastic.The office waiting room is bright and comfortable. The reception we received was friendly and helpful.Exam area was clean and modern.Hygienist, a young man who’s name I didn’t get, was gentle but thorough.I don’t know anyone that enjoys the dentist but this office and Dr Mason makes it easier to take. Will make the drive from Albuquerque again for the rest of my family

Everyone was friendly, until I went in with a horrific pain on my left jaw a few days after a cleaning. I went in and they said my dentist was on vacation so I probably needed a root canal and they said I would have to wait til he got back. Well, by this time the whole left side of my head hurt. I thought I was going to pass out, so they sent me to another dental office for a root canal. Went there and for $200.00 I was told the tooth was cracked too far down and I had an abscess. So they sent me to another dentist to have it pulled for $800.00. Thank you very much... this Valencia dental are the worst. Neither of the referrals were covered by my insurance.

After not being to the dentist in years, and having to have several appointments to repair what the absence of dental care had created, I can honestly say I received top notch care from Dr. Bae, Gertrude, and Josette. Everyone in the office is incredibly friendly and they make sure you are comfortable every step of the way. I highly recommend Valencia Family Dentistry!

Dr. Tim Smith does excellent work. I tend to be anxious when visiting the dentist but he and his wonderful staff make these visits as pleasant as is possible. All work my family and I have had done at Valencia Family Dental has been top notch. I highly recommend them.

Doctors go to solution is “root canal” for almost any problem. Been to this place multiple times only to have my procedures rushed because the dr. Has other patients to worry about, I got fillings from here only to have cracks and gaps causing abscesses in my teeth 4 months later, I can only say as I feel they do this on purpose to have you back there in a couple months to drain your wallet even more. I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to be taken advantage of rushed and not cared about.

Everyone I spoke with and was treated by were very respectful, friendly, and kind. Nathan, the Dental Hygienist, and his Assistant were very informative and very thorough. Dr. Bay was also very informative and explained everything thoroughly. Overall, my experience was very good.

This is the best dentist office I have ever been to. Josette does a wonderful job keeping my teeth clean. Today Linda and Dr. Tim replaced a filling and it was quick, professional, and virtually painless. As other reviewers have noted everyone is extremely kind and caring. They all go that extra mile to work with your insurance to get you the best deal and to care for your teeth as they would their own. Finally it is like dealing with SW airlines - the entire staff obviously loves working there and is glad to see you.

Revising this review after the phone call from them yesterday. Someone called with basically a sales call. And let me know even though I paid out the butt for my procedure well....... so let me tell you I saw the dentist for under 10 minutes no novacaine and no decay to be removed and the cost just slightly under $500. And the young lady let me know must of had decay nope I flossed that filling out it was old. Last filling I had before this 200. I cant really excuse the cost of this.Thanks Valencia Family, Gertrude. and Dr Bao, you were there for me in my time of need. I called one day got in the next and Dr. Bao had me fixed up in good time and was not pushing stuff I didnt want or need. I am a bit of a dental phobe and the experience was so much better than I thought it would be.

The worst... Mr. Eric Smith, the supposed dentist is not honest. His father in law has a dentistry practice in Belen and they are both very dishonest. Smith put a cap on my tooth even tho he knew he had made a mistake in manufacture... he does it in house to make more money. I asked him about treating the underlying tooth which was dark colored. He told me it had to be treated by another Dentist since he didnt to that type of work. I now find out (3years later) that he should have had me go to that other dentist... (like the dentist I have now did) to treat the underlying tooth before I had the crown put in. I now have to get the tooth pulled because it has deteriorated under the crown to that extent. Then get an implant. Cost... about $2100.00 plus the overcharge on the crown... $900.00. His father in law taught him how. Sanchez (his father in law) replaced the same filling on my mom about 8 times. He mines the mouths of his community for his own profit.. THE WORST. Had to give one star or it wouldnt let me post .... otherwise no stars... terrible person.Apparently the subject of this post has left the practice... good.

I dont usually like the dentist, but Dr. Tim changed my opinion. He was professional, understanding and almost painless with the procedure he did on me. I have a couple more visits to complete the procedure, but am looking forward to the end results.My husband also is going to see Dr. Tim and he is very pleased with the procedure that he did for him, too....We highly recommend Dr. Tim for any dental procedures that you may have! Even though we live in Albuquerque, and he is in Los Lunas, it is well worth the drive to his office with the professional, courteous staff at his office and his will to make sure that you are satisfied with the work he does for you......My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Tim and his staff!!!!

My experience was just about great until I came home and checked the new hole out and found a shard of what seems to be a bit of metal from I don’t know what I snapped a picture and saw a shiny spot went to the bathroom and found it. I was very nervous I would be in pain but was assured I wouldn’t which was great they did awesome just wasn’t happy with the metal that was left in my mouth which could of went into the new hole and would of caused an infection glad I saw that don’t know how I feel about it

I would recommend never felt uncomfortable and were honest. Got me in same day to fix my crown!

First time here today for xray and consultation. I knew that I need much work done. Surprised to discover we could begin procedures today. Extraction, fillings, temp crowns, bonding... all in one day. Attentive to my questions, comfort, and my aftercare plan.I noticed that any staff not attending a patient, surfed room to room offering help. Teamwork! I hope to be able to report this many stars each time I receive care here.

Dr. Smith is very patient and knowledgeable about dentistry and specialty dental work. He takes time explaining things to you and answering any questions or concerns you may have. The complete staff members are very helpful and accommodating.

I had my first appointment with Valencia Family Dentistry this week and all I can say is I wish I had made an appointment sooner because this practice is amazing! The atmosphere is calming, the staff are very friendly, and Dr Loumeau was kind, explained things wonderfully, and is going to try to help me fix an issue that I thought I had no hope of fixing. I had a tooth pulled and two fillings done and honestly felt none of it which was great!My whole family will be going to Valencia Dental from now on and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I went in to get my new crown put on - temporary had been on awhile because I had to chg my original appt - but the assistant did a good job removing the temporary - & Dr Timothy Is always so thorough-I had some high points on my bite & he adjusted it to fit perfect - couldn’t be happier- everyone I’ve dealt with in this office is really great at their job- & always very pleasant 👍👍

My son and I have been patients there for 6 years. I have had a great experience the duration of that time until todays visit. I walked in and was impressed by the remodel. My son was taken back by the wonderful Kayla and I was in the room over with the absolute best dental hygienist Josette. During my exam my son was finished and came in very concerned asking why Genea was crying (another hygienist) who has been exceptionally professional and kind to us from day one. They had fired her in the middle of a shift in ear shot of my son. She then had to exit the building at the same time as we did. I had to explain to my 3rd grade son the entire drive home what happened. He questioned why someone would do this to an employee in front of him. He questioned how she was going to pay her house and feed her kids. He actually at one point questioned if it was his fault because he went in her exam room to talk to her.I honestly can not believe this happened during our appointment. I will not be returning for my future appointments.

Not family-oriented, we never get to know a dentist or hygienist or assistant because theyre are so many. Not very homey or courteous either. We told them how we feel and that we would not be back. No one apologized, we were just told OK well take you off our list. The gals who answer the phone or not trained very well and customer service; theyre always yelling at other people in the office (in our ear!) when we call. We have complained several times but we dont think the complaints get to the owner.

Went to this office in May, I had to have a tooth replaced on my denture. I went in first thing in the morning I left my denture there, and paid the requested amount, in full, before they ever went to the lab. Now in August I received a phone call, the person that called did not give me her name started demanding I pay my bill, they were saying I had two teeth replaced. Then I get a corrected bill and now they want 25.00 for tax. I asked them if this is the way they do their patients. They tell you a amount you pay in full then they try to come at you for more money. I was very pleased with their services, but now this has changed my mind, and I will never refer people there.

I found this dentist near my new home... after looking at the reviews I decided to have a toothache taken care of here. But once I arrived and got checked in, I found out that they were out of network. So naturally I declined to be treated there. Somehow in between the finding out I was fully covered and leaving, a cleaning appointment was made roughly 6 weeks out (no reminders it seems). However, once I found out I was out of network, I told the receptionist I did not want to be treated there. The receptionist told me several times that it would ONLY be out of pocket about $30-40. I again declined and got out of there. By the time I got home, I was getting text messages from them to give them a rating. I finally sent STOP to stop the text messages.Today I arrived home to a bill for $52 for a missed appointment. REALLY!?! I guess they didnt think I was serious when I said I did not want to be out of pocket just to be treated there. So BEWARE, you will get charged for a missed appointment even if you clearly state you do not want to pay out of pocket.Its a nice place... I just dont care to pay out of pocket and somehow they STILL manage to bill me for something.

I was in need of repairs for work done by his predisesor! And, Dr. Tim took over my case and finished the work started by a Doctor who left without finishing the job he promised. (I did not receive any notification from that Doctor saying he was moving.)I trust Dr. Tim, which is huge in my perseption of a good Doctor! I also thank Dr. Tim for bringing back my smile!!
