Room was spacious and comfortable. Great shower water pressure which made showering and washing my hair a breeze. If you have long, thick hair you know how important this is! The hotel staff were all incredibly warm, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. This is a great place to stay at LA Live convenient and walking distance to everything there. The pool and pool area were so nice! It was kind of cool when I was there Aug 20-23rd so it would have been really nice if there had been a hot tub at the pool area. The lobby store snack food had some really great options to take to your room as long as drinks and wine too. There are also lots of food trucks that park right outside the hotel at night for food some delicious food options. The only thing I didn’t like l, and this is just really nit picking, was that the hotel Starbucks closed at 11:00am on Sunday and they said they opened back up at 5:00pm? I’m sure it’s due to lack of employees or something, but the next Starbucks was right across the street so I was still able get my coffee just a walk across the street in LA Live. This hotel will not disappoint! You will be really glad you chose to stay here.
Hotel at a reasonable price! I was happy to discover a legitimate room. The personnel is friendly, and the beds are roomy and comfy. Ive never stayed at such a hotel before. They provide exceptional customer service and keep ethical behavior. A totally unique and valuable experience. Thanks!
Everything you would expect from a Marriot. Bar in the lobby. Food across the street and a reasonable walk away. Rooms clean, friendly staff. Reason for the 3*...valet is $51.00 PER DAY. The lot across the street is $10. Thats just bad business and because of it, wont stay at this location again.
Parking driveway is a mess but great staff. Had a great stay but our room smelled of bad vape. So much that I had to rewash all my clothe I didnt even use on the trip. Was like a bad night club smell. I did mention it so they did not think we smoked but no offer for compensation or room change. I asked for a room change and they said theyd look into it but never got back. Elevator is extremely slow too. Staff was great considering the short falls.
This is a true destination! You could stay at the hotel for days and not have to leave. The amenities are amazing, and the atmosphere, grounds, and attention to detail are spectacular! The food was amazing, staff friendly, rooms were very clean, and the overall experience was great! I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
This establishment is the original and best wine supplier in my region. Its a great place to hang out with your mates and enjoy healthy beers and wines. They also serve delicious food at a low cost. They have the best variety of imported and local wines in my region, in my opinion. All should try it out.
While the room and hotel was nice, the hotel service and operations provided were not up to the standard Marriott quality that has come to be expected. There was a planned water outage which was pretty much out for about half of our stay. The hotel provided no information about this outage in advance and only let us know after we checked-in. This is unacceptable and should have been made clear way in advance of our stay considering it was planned maintenance. Additionally, room rates should not been set at the same price knowing that one of the core amenities of a hotel room was not going to be provided for a set duration of the stay. Knowing this information in-advance, I would have booked accommodations somewhere else. While I thought the hotel was nice, the level of service provided was quite lacking and in my opinion unprofessional.
It was ok. The hotel staff were great when arriving. I didn’t like that there is no parking without paying $30 a night across the street. Would have been $50 if we would have gone with valet. Which is all they offer. You would think paying over $1000 for a room you would have parking. Speaking of the room, it was nothing special for the price. We even had to clean our own room at different points because the staff hadn’t came. The location is the only thing outstanding about the hotel outside of the main entrance. I was gonna rate it a 7 out of 10 but now that i think about it, it wasn’t even that. Ive stayed in much nicer hotels for less. Hope this helps.
Last weekend, we stayed at this hotel. It was really relaxing, and it was situated in a peaceful part of town. It will also be our first chance to see the area while we are here. We respect their employees loyalty and perseverance. The five-star rating is fully justified.
Stayed here last week after attending the MLS All-Star Game. Great hotel overall located across from LA Live. Im giving it 4 stars due to the parking being limited to valet and charging $51 a night. Thats a bit much for a Courtyard Mariott. I was also bummed that they didnt have free breakfast, I thought all CMs had that? Oh well, still a great place to stay if catching a game at Staples, LA Colisuem or The Banc (LAFC).
Marissa Smith the manager needs to be retrained on managerial skills as she lacks common respect and know how to resolve issues in a professional manner. I would never stay here again let alone my dog. This place is gross.
This hotel relaxes me and provides a restful nights sleep. This hotels superb customer service is highly recommended! They are exceedingly respectful and welcoming. They are both moderately priced.
Great Rooms. Fantastic pool. Amazing Staff.
Hotel was decent. At the end of the day it is still a courtyard though.
Rooms that are calm and spacious, where your adventure starts. A sense of living is created by sumptuous furnishings and eclectic paintings.
Idk why people say it’s bad I had the best time here !! ALBERT the front desk guy was so great to us he explained everything and was congratulating us on our wedding. He made sure we were comfortable and also told some staff and they also congratulated us. I felt very comfortable here. Everyone was friendly and I also got here at 12 am and asked for extra towels and they came within 5 minutes. The towel guy Erick was very friendly as well. I definitely recommend this place. Also the room was nice and neat. They came with little sanitizer wipes for us. Just over all it was great! Definitely coming back and telling my family this is the place to be when you come visit
Overall had a good stay. My complaints would be the freezing pool, no lock on the bathroom door in our room, and the breakfast they have is pretty bad... cereal was stale and not too big of a selection... only had scrambled eggs, sausage tasted weird, bacon was decent... you would be better off going to a restaurant near by since this hotel is in a great location with plenty of things to do and places to eat!
Because of the obvious relaxing setting, this hotel is one of my favorite places to stay!! In comparison, the food and service are also excellent. This is a recipe that everyone can make!
Clean rooms, great beds and pillows. Parking is a bit of a challenge, with valet only, and not cheap, but this is Los Angeles.staff is helpful and friendly.
The hotel follows an acceptable policy to ensure the safety of its visitors. They washed the room on a regular basis to keep the smells in the room! The location was fascinating.
Excellent Service! 💓🎉
Ive had to stay at this Marriott multiple times due to renovations at my place. Its one of my favorites. Its close to everything you need downtown, big rooms and the staff is awesome. The staff here treats you like you matter and are always willing to help. Andrew and Albert were extremely helpful when I had to stay here for a month and a half. Highly recommended and this is my go to hotel in DTLA.
Great spot near the Staple Center (Lakers and Clippers arena).Restaurants across the streetBad: the people around the building.. its actually sad (homeless)
Nice place near TONS of restaurants
Ive been to the hotel for the last four years for an appointment, and this hotel manages an appointment well. The lunch lines are very well organized, the buffet is set up beautifully, with very tasty food. The conference halls are nice. I certainly would recommend this hotel for sure!
It was nice love it will stay when I am in the LA AREA
Great overall hotel with clean and nicely decorated and spacious rooms. The 5 stars is for the Incredible service that took me by surprise... When I came back to my room for a call, I found this wonderful surprise waiting for me in my room. What an incredible customer experience that Joy (Ladybird) from Marriott gave me. Ill definitely be back and major kudos to Marriott for having such a wonderful and thoughtful person working for them. I hope they appreciate her!
Not sure about who stays on the lobby.. pretty sketchy.. Marriot brand should be really careful.. I don’t think I will book it next time.
Room was nice but I had to check out earlier than expected. The hallway had a heavy smell of weed and every time we opened the door the smell would get into the room. The valet is super expensive over 45 dollars. They only have that parking unless you want to park across the street for 10 dollar.
Prime place to stay. Right the across from Staples Center.Very nice hotel and hotel rooms r huge with kitchens
Tell me why when I was getting a drink one of the guys that wears suits had a hard on while working! I dont know what his position was but his name tag said Jonathan? If he had talked to me like that I would have called him out and told his boss. Hopefully this gets seen by people.
I was surprised amazingly quick and welcoming
They do not switch out the duvets. Or the pillows. Theyre not using proper protocol when switching out linen. You could be getting infected with covid. Theyre not helping to prevent the spread of covid by not switching out all linen. Duvets or mattress pads. I personally witnessed this. Be very careful going to this place. They might have gotten people killed. The management is responsible for this
What is not to like about luxurious stay & great staff
Valet parking was horrible and very pricey. Room was very good, view not.
Positive: Location to meeting Negative: No service for handicap/assistance with luggage
Positive: The view and the people were nice
Ain’t worth it. Nickel and diming at every turn.
I love this spot but that 70.00 parking fee is not the best # but worth the security
Hotel was conveniently located next to the Staples Center and L.A. Live. Room was clean and quiet. All staff were friendly and welcoming. There was an issue with my bill but it was promptly handled by the front desk agent when I brought it to their attention. The pool and fitness center were all clean and well-kept. Shout out to the housekeeping staff as, they too, were all very friendly!
This hotel is quite basic but is okay for a simple stay. It is not worth the price, but you are basically paying for staying in the the downtown LA area. I think this is a great place to stay for a night or two if you are passing through, but not for anything longer than that. We stayed for one night and were happy to move onto our next hotel as this hotel was not anything special. Best part for me was relaxing by the pool! Heads up - there is no water to drink in the room! After my long flight I checked into my room and expected to chug a bottle of water and there was nothing there. I called the front desk and was told they do not provide complementary water and I would have to go back down to the cafe to purchase some. This may unimportant to some but this is a big deal for me and now how I wanted to start my stay. For all the money or points we use to stay at these hotels, the least they could provide is a bottle of water!
We stayed at this property for 3 nights for vacation and everything was excellent and up to Marriotts standards. The lobby of the hotel is so modern and stylish and it smelled good everywhere. Zeze, the agent who checked us in, were able to accommodate our needs. She gave us a nice corner room, and the beds were very soft and comfortable. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast every morning and it saved us budget for our trip. I didnt get the housekeepers name but everytime she saw us shed always smile and greet us. Natalie was very helpful upon check out and made sure everything was okay with our stay. I didnt get the names of the other staff but everyone was friendly and hospitable. We really enjoyed our 4 days vacation in Los Angeles and a big part of that is because of this amazing hotel!
It was a wonderful place to stay.
To be a 4 star hotel, customer service is severely lacking. The man who checked me in said the room wasn’t available and they would call when it was, wouldn’t give me a key or anything. They never called, thankfully we were okay with checking in late by the time but it was an inconvenience to wait back in line. Was told that breakfast was included only to wake up and find it wasn’t. We left our wallets in the car and had to scramble for breakfast, which made us late for a meeting. No one seemed the least bit apologetic when we called the front desk and mentioned it the girl at the cafe. The front desk staff is usually on their phones or headphones. I’ve had better service at motels in other countries to say the least.
As an AX attendee from out of town, I can not stress how great it feels to have hotel staff that are very compassionate and appreciative of you staying at their hotel. The staff were very professional and definitely great to even chat with. The rooms were beyond my expectations. Ive definitely checked into lousy hotels and this one was definitely a lot better than others Ive been in. The pool area is extremely clean, and the fitness center has various equipment to suite your needs. The location is amazing for the venues being held at the convention center. Lastly it feels extremely safe at the hotel. Despite downtown housing alot of homeless and their fare share of crazy people, the hotel maintains great security to ensure that there are no unwelcomed guests and that they keep guests safe.
Hotel super convenient to LA Live. They offer packages but I always have to wait for them to correct the bill when I check out or get home if I cant wait at the desk because they charge for included items. This has happened numerous times. In addition even though the package states drinks each night the manager states its only for 1 night of your stay.
I had a solid experience with my first stay at this Courtyard literally across the street from LA Live..Im a fan..A one night stay on 10/20/18 (sat) was priced like this: $288.34 = $249.99 + $34.86 City Tax + $3.74 Convention & Tourism tax + .74 master cardLobby & Check In: A very spacious lobby with a friendly front desk staff awaits you when you walk in. I checked in at 10 AM just to drop off my bag and I was pleasantly surprised that they had a room ready for me. Fantastic. The lobby has two computers with printers to print your boarding pass. Additionally, theres a Starbucks with a nice sitting lounge located in the corner. Theres plenty of seating to stage as youre checking in/out.Rooms: Contemporary decor, and furniture was the theme in my room. Higher than average ceilings make the room appear more spacious which I appreciated. The bathroom was spotless and I dug the massive clear sliding door in the shower. The thermostat worked well and there was plenty of lighting throughout the room via individual lamps and light fixtures.Location location location: This Courtyard is literally across the street from LA Live. This also means youre a 5 min walk from the Staples Center and the LA Convention center. Youre also close to all the nearby restaurants, shops, etc in the immediate area. All the staff I came in contact with were very friendly and worked with a professional sense of urgency. Youre paying a premium for the location and you know that coming in. With that, Id still consider staying at this Courtyard as they overall gave me a great experience. Enjoy..!
Positive: The rooms were clean. Negative: The parking is horrible, also the amenities were terrible. The pool was all booked. There was no breakfast available. Nothing they promise was available. The rates on the room should have went down if you’re not offering everything you offer
The hotel is well appointed, up to date and the room was clean and comfortable. Everything was easy to figure out (lights) and the bed was spot on comfortable. The staff was wonderful and it wasnt hard to find someone to help when I needed it. Great Hotel, great staff. all this and a short walk to the Staples Center. Ill stay here again.
Good location if attending events at LA Live; limited amenities. Great/adequate self-service laundry. Valet parking is expensive ($50-$60/night), limited area for return of car especially on event nights. Rooms are typical Courtyard, nothing special. Fairly new hotel.
Perfect location for all downtown needs without being over priced. Great service, Andrew at the front desk was wonderful. Will definitely be back again :)
I was attending a conference at the Convention Center, I enjoyed the proximity, it allowed me to walk back and forth throughout the day. But the best part of the hotel was the bathroom! The shower had clean glass doors, and super clean white tile and grout. The room was so quiet, I forgot I was in downtown LA at times. I arrived early and they were able to accommodate my early check in. The valet has a text option and they are SUPER quick.
It was a great stay. The room was nice and clean. The fitness center was good, except for there not being towels 3 out of the 4 days I was there. The pool was nice. The food at the bar in the hotel was good and healthy-ish. The staff was nice and accommodating. I had a burned out light bulb in my room and it was fixed before I returned in the evening. I even thought the room was quiet for being so close to the elevators. Great location to the LA Convention center and evening dining options.
This Hotel is gorgeous inside and out! Love the heated pool, it is actually heated! We got in when it was like 60° outside and it felt like a hot tub. The breakfast was amazing as well. They had a variety of food and drink for everyone. I also love how you can only access the floors with your room key card which is excellent for guest safety. We definitely will be back with the rest of the family.
Terrible Hotel service and missing items from hotel room and they were replaced by Broken items terrible Bell service overall ballet was the best
Excellent location close to the LA Live complex and the LA conference center. Was here on business for a trade show. Very friendly and accommodating staff at this hotel. Room was clean and modern with a great view. Would definitely recommend this location for others.
After looking into many hotels in the area, I decided on booking this hotel. I was very satisfied with my choice. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted. Staff was friendly and helpful. We stopped at the bar before heading up to the room. The server was very attentive and friendly as well. I felt very safe as guests needed to scan a card to get into the hotel at night and use the elevator. The rooms were very clean. Bathroom was well stocked and the beds were comfy. The pool was great as well. Towels were well stocked and available. Overall, I would stay here again.
I stayed overnight, attending a concert across the street at the Staple Center. Upon arrival the Valet staff was prompt and friendly, the front lobby was very clean, and check-in was easy and quick with all of the staff going the extra mile to ensure my stay was perfect. I was upgraded to the 20th floor, with an awesome view of the city. The room was very clean with no carpet stains and bathroom was spotless. Bed was very comfortable. Very convenient location with a large variety of restaurants within a short walking distance. Being across the street from the Staple Center is awesome if you are attending an event. Check-out was at 12:00 noon which gave us plenty of time in the morning to walk 2 blocks for breakfast before checking out. I will definitely be staying here again.
The rooms were CLEAN. The service was great. ALL of the staff were pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. This helped to make our stay one of the best experiences ever.
We have stayed in a huge variety of hotels all over the world including places 4 times the price of this hotel, but this has been our best hotel experience ever. Best service staff, everyone is friendly, exceptionally dog friendly, everything is perfectly clean without stinking of chemicals, great breakfast and coffee, excellent pool layout. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. If we ever find ourselves in LA again, there’s no question: this will be our accommodation. We have an oversized can that didn’t fit into their covered parkade, and they recommended the lot north of their property (look for the black fencing) for affordable parking. Huge range of parking prices abound in this area so it was great to get a good attended lot with very reasonable day/night rates.
Being a LA Kings fan we celebrated our wedding anniversary by attending the LA Kings game and staying overnight. The Courtyard staff was amazing! Friendly, helpful and had a great room!
Albert at the front desk lastnight made our experience tedious and unnecessary after getting off a long trip by giving us a difficult experience with checking in (this was not the first time dealing with him) . previously we have experienced other front desk associates and everything was great but it seems everytime we get albert it’s difficult . we had planned to stay here at this hotel for two nights but decided to go to a different hotel for the second night because of the experience with him. If there is a next time i will be asking for a manager to handle my reservation if he is at the front desk. thank you
The suite unit was very clean and roomy, with a lovely view of the L.A. Live area from the 20th floor. However, the kitchen area was poorly supplied; no microwave, no utencils/plates ( these have been available at other Courtyards Ive stayed at), and we couldnt tell if someone had been in to the room to clean it while we were there. Also, the food offered at the hotel was pretty bad (all processed). Also, restaurant options in the L.A. Live area are pretty stark. Just a handful of franchises, otherwise that area is pretty much a food desert considering its in L.A. -- a foodie destination. Apparently the good places are in deep downtown.
It was a great hotel located near the conference I am attending. Only problem is that we found a used contact lenses in the bathroom. We expected better from the hospitality from Marriot.
Nice staff.
This was an amazing second time stay here! Friendly staff, pleasing architecture and comfortable facilities for breakfast and evening reception, and delicious breakfast. Five stars!
If you are looking to stay in a premier downtown location this is the place to be! So close to all of the best parts of the city. Walking distance to the Movie Theater, the Staples center, the convention center and so many top notch restaurants! The metro is also very close and allows you to travel the entire Los Angeles vicinity! The swimming pool area was the cleanest Ive seen and the fitness center is state of the art. There has been careful thought and consideration put into the design of the hotel and it does not disappoint! We had an unbelievable experience!
If you have an event at Staples Center or Convention Center, I would DEFINITELY stay here. Its clean, staff is super friendly, and location is super convenient. Free drink in the evening, complimentary breakfast in the morning, and we did the package with valet, I just couldnt be happier with my stay here. I will definitely be back!
I am writing to you to express my appreciation for the excellent customer service which I had received my last visit the front Desk Agent, Andre( I believe this was his name). The staff was warm and accommodating, and they were helpful to me. I hope that this is the kind of service that will be present at Courtyard permanently as this is what the customers wants to experience!

This is a beautiful hotel, everything from the outside in is like it was built yesterday. It has a great modern look and the rooms are warm and homely. The internet is super fast and easy to connect to. Everything is immaculately clean. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Excellent proximity to the Staples and Convention Centres, perfect place to stay if youre headed to either. The pool area is really nice, the pool is warm and wouldve been perfect in warmer weather. The dining options arent great in the area, either cheap comfort food or expensive meals. Nice area to walk around, close to supermarkets, a food court and target with pharmacy. I would definitely stay here again if I need to head to another convention.
Wonderful hotel. Great staff, Great rooms, fitness center, breakfast. We will definitely be back probably again and again!
We arrived late for a conference beginning the next day and were taken care of quickly and efficiently by the front desk team upon our arrival. The room was ready and exactly what was requested. The staff were quick to provide a fabulous recommendation for a late bite which my colleague and I enjoyed immensely. We would have preferred an onsite restaurant option (the lobby lounge closes at 10 pm) as we were both new to the area and it was late at night, but the restaurant recommended by the staff was a quick walk across the street.
We had a concert at the Staples center and this was the perfect place for us to stay. It was basically across the street so we just walked over. Our Jr Suite room was amazing and spacious. The lobby is beautiful, the pool area was great to relax at and we had an easy check out. I will definitely stay here again!
Everything was perfect! We were greeted when we arrived and checked in timely. Our room was perfect! We live locally and didnt want to deal with traffic after a concert we were attending. This location and hotel was perfect! I highly recommend it.
My attempt to stay at the Courtyard Marriott LA Live was a disaster. My daughter and I have never been treated so horribly by hotel staff as we were at this location. All thanks to managers Justin and Marrissa and front desk clerk Danny. We attempted to use a military rate were told we could not receive one at the front desk. I called Marriotts reservation line and they stated the prices were locked and they could not edit it. My daughter went online and saw our charges were a little over $900 which was $400 more than we anticipated paying. So we went downstairs and spoke with a front desk employee who seemed to already been made aware of the situation and told us we could not use the military rate based on his conversation with Marrissa. She came out and she was rude and said she spoke to Justin and he told her he said no such thing that we could use a military rate and since we were obviously not on business she would not give us a military rate. So my daughter asked her if she assumes or ask all customers there nature of business when using the military rate and denies them if she thinks there on leisure travel and she said yes they do. My daughter and I, as I am retired military, both told her we had not ever been treated like this or denied a military discount. My daughter then said this is the worst customer service she has ever received from hotel staff and asked for out money back. The manager said sure and gave no apologies and we packed up our stuff and left. The Marriott is a customer service business and it is apparent this hotel staff needs a lesson in customer hospitality. When has it ever been ok to deny veterans a discount, ridicule them, make them wait an hour to check in, talk to other employees about the issues of a customer, and we were without a place to stay after traveling from Washington D.C. on a five hour flight. This was horrible service. I am a retired veteran with over 20 years of service and currently work for Department of Homeland Security Headquarters and my daughter serves in the military.
That was the first time a family of five of us could fit in a double room and sofa bed! The beds are comfortable and room was spacious enough to fit our needs, the TV unit they use in the middle of room gave enough privacy for changing and sleeping time. Not fancy looking but convenient and comfortable and very clean!!
Overall a great value. The Bistro was the only real restaurant on the property, and it was very minimal. The breakfast was not great, but the happy hour was great for a drink after a long day at the convention center for a trade show. Just be sure you ask if it IS happy hour before ordering. I asked what was on happy hour and they gave me the list, but failed to tell me happy hour was already over (at 6:00). It was 6:10 when I asked what was on happy hour and was billed full price for my items. I was surprised that the Bistro staff didnt try to compensate me, and Im sure if I complained to hotel staff they would have done something, but I had people waiting on me so I just left it alone.Super clean rooms, super friendly staff, great location. Just dont expect too much in the way of on-site dining. No problem though, its right next to LA LIVE!!
We had a great time during our stay at the Courtyard during the USC parents weekend. We were able to relax, work and do many activities. Access to the hotel is easier than at the JW - it is less like a train station which for us is ideal. The pool was nice though we would have appreciated a spa. The staff was attentive, the other clients were actually super nice and seemed less entitled than what we have found across the street. On our future trips to LA we will stay here. I really appreciate that there were no crazy drunk people at the hotel. Those folks seem more attracted to staying across the street.
Clean rooms, friendly staff.
Great location- there is a metro stop within walking distance. Theres a great taco place by Olympic and Figueroa and youre in close proximity to some great neighborhoods/shopping/food.
This hotel is amazing, clean, comfortable and the staff is so nice (and FAST). Easy freeway access, situated directly across from the Staples Center (IF you like the Lakers, personally being from Sacramento I prefer the KINGS. LOL) you will enjoy this experience. The food is amazing or if you want to step out there are great restaurants right across the street (you might even run into a Laker or two as I did). Go, stay and enjoy. You will love it!
This couldnt have been a better experience! The only thing that concerned my friends and I was that we never were told that there would be a deposit and normally they charge $100 (if I remember rightly) but because of of the miscommunication, they lowered it to $50. It was awesome!
Wifi service was great. Excellent out view but the rate is little bit high. If any discount then dont forget to send me the SMS on my phone. Of course you have my phone number. Wanna come with my wife!!
If you are attending a concert at the Microsoft Theater or any event in the LA Live area, this is the perfect location. We just walked across the street and were at the Microsoft Theater. The rate was perfect too. Normally we do not sleep well away from home but this stay was an exception. We slept in until 7 a.m., which we do not even do at home on the weekends. The drapes blocked the upcoming sun to the East, the room was quiet, we never heard anyone above us or in the hallway.
The room size and amenities are 2 stars but you are charged a 4 to 5 stars rate simply because they can. This is not a typical Marriott courtyard experience. We picked thUs hotel because we thought we know what to expect from Marriott. Very wrong!!
Great location, across the street from LA Live and steps from Staples. The room was quiet, spacious, clean, and up to date. The staff was also very friendly. Valet parking was on the expensive side but the convenience was worth it. Overall a great place to stay for events at Staples.
Courtyard Marriott is in a great location right in the heart of LA. Lots of live music. Great restaurants. A nice mix of a luxury hotel with an awesome infinity rooftop pool and homeless folks in the streets. I love it. The king executive suite is roomy and modern and super comfy. Very romantic. Have fun staying there...You will love it too!
We usually enjoy ournMarriott hotel stays. Not this time. Our Room location was horrible and the noise level ridiculously high. We request a high floor as I like to have a nice view. We are rewards members and have always been given a room on a higher floor. Not this time. We arrived in the evening so called the front desk the next day to request a different room but they said I would need to call back the following morning. We were only there for 3 nights so it didn’t make sense to switch rooms for 1 night so we stayed in our original room. For the noise, view and inadequate bathroom our short stay ended up being ridiculous priced, especially when you included the $60/day valet parking. The heater was inconsistent, the hot water inconsistent and we had to request extra towels as there were 4 of us and housekeeping kept giving us 3 towels. We could’ve stayed at a nicer hotel for the same price. Not happy with this Marriott.

Hotel is very clean and up to date. But staff do not treat you like VIP if you are a member. Also the parking fees are extremely too high.
Amazing Customer Service, Great Location, Very Clean Rooms! Everyone with me on this business trip truly enjoyed their stay. It was definitely a home away from home and it was so great to be greeted by friendly, caring staff every time you reentered the building. Food was good, the beds were comfortable and the pool was relaxing!
Stayed at this hotel on a Friday night as I was attending a conference the next morning very early and rather than driving in from OC decided to stay in LA. I combined this business trip with a personal moment of spending time with my 8 year old daughter. It was fun to have dinner across the street at LA Live, grab goodies at Starbucks and return to the hotel for a Friday night bath, PJs and TV watching before having a full day at the conference. Though we did not get to use many of the hotel amenities, we are coming back as its central to so much activity in downtown LA.
We went in to L.A. from Palm Springs to attend Disney Halls Philharmonic performance of Les Mis and Phantom. We also ate at The Water Grille. The next day we went to the I Max Theater to see a film on Jerusalem. From there we walked the short distance to see the Dead Sea Scrolls. We saw the space shuttle, too, which was amazing. Our trip was an overnighter for pleasure. We are retired. My husband used to almost live at the Marriott when he was in business for 30 years from the 60s to about 1997 or 1998.We had a scone and coffee at Starbucks. The ladies were wonderful to us and even came from around their station to serve the hot scone. As I said before, the valet people, Sammi at the front desk, everyone we came in contact with was trained to serve. In a world where there is little service anymore, we felt very special and well taken care of.
Hotel was great. Location was great. Room was great. For the price, somethings were missing. Either they didnt value us OR they were under staffed. There were too many attempts to get help on things with our conference room and the ease of getting someone to help (calling) was a pain. How many times do you have to go directly to the front to get someone to help? The hotel is beautifully updated and the coffee bar is super fast and the food was yummy. For the price of this hotel and I understand where its located, the value doesnt match the experience/customer service.
I stayed at the Courtyard Los Angeles LA LIVE to attend the Bethel Conference at the Microsoft Theater. Its close proximity to the Microsoft Theater and also to other desirable locations in LA made it the perfect place to stay. Service was quick and easy. I enjoyed my stay there very much!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the valets who were informative and courteous. We soon checked in without issue. Rooms were very nice. Nice views. We were in town to shoot a music video, so we didnt have time to relax as wed like to. We do plan staying here again.
For a hotel priced under $300 in downtown LA the Courtyard is a pretty solid deal. Yes, its still a Courtyard, so it has modern, bland furniture that looks like it was freshly shipped from Ikea. And like other Courtyards, it has a limited bar and restaurant. What I appreciated about this Courtyard is the large, expansive fitness center which contained many cardio machines, free weights and machines. It could easily hold 25 guests. The pool was also well maintained and heated (although I didnt use it). The bathroom was mostly the Courtyard style but they expanded the shower size by making it stand-up and adding a large plastic door (see pic). This place was all I needed for a short business trip with a downtown meeting.
