I called trying to get some help making copies for a couple vehicle keys, the lady that answered sounded like she didnt want to help me, said they were closed? but that someone would call me back, someone did but they were very rude and impatient.I just dont understand.

Yoav was fantastic! I needed my car unlocked, plus a new key made for my Prius since I somehow lost my key. He came out right away, within 20 minutes, got my car open, and got a new key made! He charged less than anywhere else I called for a quote, and was really funny once I got to talk to him.10/10 highly recommend.

Took over 1.5 hours to change a deadbolt (with at least three calls to his manager for instructions during the repair) and then tried to get me to be responsible for a street cleaning parking ticket he received, after he parked FACING THE WRONG DIRECTION on the street cleaning side of the street. If youre going to drive and park the wrong direction, obviously you are going to miss the street cleaning signs, but thats your fault. I lost my car key late evening in the heart of Los Angeles City where the walking dead come out at night. Needless to say it was in a very shady part of town. I was scared and in tears when I called A1 Locksmith. The man whom answered my call was attentive, empathetic, and kind he put my mind at ease. I expressed my car key has a chip so it makes the process more complicated. He was totally knowledgeable and said he could create a key for me with a chip and I had the choice to add remote capability. Then he informed me of the reasonable price and said he could meet me in ten minutes. He did show up in ten minutes punctual and friendly. Easily the best service Ive had performed in a long time. I was able to make an appointment the night before for Easter Sunday. They arrived promptly, swapped out my lock in under 5 minutes, the guy was very friendly, and the cost was way cheaper than I thought itd be. Cant recommend these guys enough!

This guy is awesome. I locked myself out of my apartment and was so worried it would be extremely expensive and difficult to get back in. Honestly this man saved my life! As a 24 year old guy in Los Angeles, I tend to be the first one screwed when it comes to various technical services. I had lost my last set of keys to my Mustang and freaked out because the Ford dealership wouldnt take me and was about to charge me a WILD fee. Avoid the attitude and obvious inconvenience for the owner to copy a key, he couldn’t even make the copy with a different color. Head to one of the many Key-Me kiosks around town that will copy the key quickly or mail it to your house if they don’t have the exact style you want in the machine.

I went to water my plants downstairs & didnt even realize I locked the door behind me. I called this place, which actually came up as Jangs Locksmith when I received the receipt. Anyhow, I called them at 8:00PM on the dot. I was in my apartment before 8:20PM. They charged me $60 & a $3 fee to pay with my card. A1/Yoav runs an honest key business. I called him to make a Jeep Cherokee key (with a programed chip in the key). He gave me a competitive price over the phone, 25 minutes later he showed up in his van, cut me the Jeep key copy, programed it and the key worked perfectly. I decided to get a second key made and he gave me a very good discount for the second key. I had called 2 other local locksmiths earlier and they were more expensive and couldnt come for 2 - 3 hours. Yoav was the fastest, gave me the best price and was a nice enough guy to talk to me while he was working! You cant go wrong using this guy for cutting+programing auto keys.On a side note, I called Buerge Jeep on Santa Monica after A1 key made my key just to get a comparative price, they were ridiculously expensive and inconvenient! I would have to tow the Jeep to the dealer ($180) + key blank ($110) + programming the new key ( $120) = $410 to get a single key made?! haha!

I lost my 2003 Lexus car key.Called this man and he came when he said he would and made a new key for me.

He is on call 24 hours, but not at this location all the time. He is usually around in the mid-afternoon, but it depends on the weather.

I lost my keys for my Mazda 2016 and yoav from a-1 came and got me out of a bind!!

Still charged me $150 despite not being able to open the door. AVOID.
