In my time in Los Angeles, I’ve worked with several recruiters and agencies from Glendale to Santa Monica. AppleOne has consistently been the worst. If you connect with someone at this office, you will simply be a number added to their digital Rolodex. You will have a cool phone call and promising meeting with them where you spend a day going to their office, doing outdated tests and watching outdated videos. You will not get a job from this office. Their opportunities are pretty much the same as Robert Half or Creative Circle, so, not only are you competing with their own pool of candidates, but also their competitors’ candidates. Look at their website and you will see how few opportunities they have in the area. Each time I’ve spoken with my assigned recruiter, I felt like I was tracking down and trying to reconnect with an estranged relative who was surprised to hear from me.

Three cheers for Natalie at the Bunker Hill office. Natalie and I connected at a time when I honestly didnt want to work with another staffing agency. I had had very poor prior experiences with agencies where they forget about you after the initial job opportunity you applied for, terrible communication, just poor customer/client service. Natalie changed that after having an initial phone consult. I was honest about my prior experiences, she listened, understood then told me how she and Apple One were aware of the industry wide disappointment and have been working to make changes. She was sincere, kind and I believed her. In the following weeks Natalie was communicative both via email and phone. It was very refreshing and I knew I could count on her. Thank you Natalie for being what all recruiters should be. Keep doing good work! : )

Your experience from one Apple One branch to another can be 100%. I initially started at the XXXXXXXX AppleOne Branch then I ended up meeting Natalie at the Bunker Hill location. Natalie really sat down to take the time to understand my resume and helped me to find better ways to market myself in my industry. She has been very helpful and proactive at finding me work and has played a pivotal role in helping me achieve my career goals !

Called me and informed me of a job description that is exactly what I was looking for. Then requested to interview me for an interview the following day. Yes that is as stupid as it sounds but that is what happened. When I asked for the link to the firm so a could apply as a general applicant I was denied and the individual implied that her company would not be paid if she provided me with a link. This is an employment agency, you are supposed to link potential employees with potential employers and giving a potential applicant a link is exactly that. Then in preparation for the interview process she kept calling me back complaining about how my resume looked and was just difficult the entire time. And for the first interview they ask for 5-10 previous company positions, 4+ references and basically a portfolio of your life until this point. If I had all that at the ready I wouldnt need a hiring agency. Following this she proceeded to try to talk me out of coming in for an interview!!! In reading other reviews this firm seems to specialize with people who have minimal experience and are looking to break into the entertainment industry. Since getting into the entertainment industry doesnt really require actual job skills to begin with Id recommend going elsewhere if you are planning to find a real job.

I rarely leave negative reviews. I rarely comment on the internet period. But over a span of two days, I spent money out of pocket when money was scare to go into the office. After having me fill out paperwork and waste my time, I was finally told their client wanted less years of experience. This is not a problem, but this shouldve been known and advised to me initially. Too much of my time and money was wasted chasing after a false venture. I was finally advised to try a different agency, as my experience was likely too much for them. ACT-1 had my resume from the beginning, so this shouldve been resolved on first contact. This is just poor business, no if-ands-buts about it.
