After leaving me on read for over a month, I sent my resume three times and created an online profile and finally all I got back was send a resume and we will maybe consider helping you. So I did. I got a call during work rush hours that my resume didnt include that I was fluent in Spanish (my first language out of three) which it clearly did- TWICE. I have a receptionist and COVID-19 screening job currently, but its under the title of Security Supervisor, but the description of duties I wrote straightens that out. I was then told my lack of clerical and supervisory work (which I have volunteered as an administrator for a medical office, so it still counts) would keep me from being a valid candidate and they do not wish to help me. SO unprofessional and rude, too. Im not going over my resume to fix it with you for a hard maybe. I had several professionals look over it and they all agree that AppleOne does not review anything or care. Go somewhere else to help you find a job. My friend found an office job with no prior experience and they only took a week. Wow.
Loved them! They were incredibly helpful, proficient, and friendly! I met with Amanda on a Tuesday, had an interview set-up for Thursday, and started my new job the following Tuesday! A one week turn around is not bad! Despite finding a job so fast, I still worked closely with Erin and Amanda and they made sure they kept me in the loop as far as what was available, how to edit my resume, among other things... I am thankful I found them! Thank you!!
I would like to know how people are able to speak to recruiters at this agency. I was told to forward my resume and no one called me. I called to confirm my resume was received and was placed on hold for 15 minutes. I don’t understand how they communicate with their employees.
Lorena is a professional and great to work with. After interviewing with Lorena she got me a position that’s easy going with direct hire potential. You just have to communicate and stay on top of your profile.Apple One has got me employment twice from two different branches.
I wonder how people are getting recruiters at this agency that are actually helping them??? I have a professional resume & all I get is emails for low paying very temporary labor work, seriously?? I am looking for a full time position in a good company & that is the hardest thing for them to provide. I have worked with a few different AppleOne recruiters and one set up a video phone interview with me & she didnt even show or call me back! I have never worked with such unprofessional recruiters in my life. All the interviews I have gotten where because of places I applied to myself, nothing from AppleOne. Its very disheartening.
Ask for Dominique! She has gone above and beyond to assist me with finding employment here and there and right now Im working a Temp Job that is inspiring. I am thankful for the experience. She hears you out on what your looking for and she does a great job at getting the rate your looking for.Im still searching for steady employment but thanks to her diligence I can still survive the tough time Im in.If you dont communicate what you will and wont do then your going to be disappointed but when your specific everything starts moving quickly.Best of Luck Everyone!!!
I cannot say enough good things about AppleOne Employment Services! Thanks to them, I have a great new job which I love. Kayleigh and Erin were very helpful and great to work with. They really made the job interviewing process seem a lot less daunting!
One of the worst employment agencies in the area. They are truly the conveyor belt of employment services. Don’t even waste your time. You’ve been warned!
Awesome agency!!!! Gladys is amazing!! She got me a job within a week. I feel that if your resume is good you will have no problem getting a job :)
Good people. Found a good job for me as soon as I moved out there. Ask for Tamy.
I have worked with AppleOne (Act-1) over the years and had very, very good luck with finding work with them. In fact, through different recruiters I was working constantly. Many gigs with government offices were extended, and I was hired full time with three jobs. I got a lot of experience working here. I commuted to all of these gigs by MTA and never had problems getting to work.I was laid off recently and didnt hesitate with contacting AppleOne to get a job. But I found my experience this last time to be frustrating and a bit demoralizing. If I have any advice with dealing with AppleOne, its to look up and prepare yourself for their administrative tests PROVE IT! (I get shivers thinking about it) DO, DO ask for practice tests in all the required programs, and dont attempt to perform the final test until you feel you got the hang of it.I found, even though I work with these programs EVERYDAY, the PROVE IT test was easy to screw up on. A part of the problem is that most programs have multiple ways to complete a function in the real world, and the PROVE IT tests will only allow for one or two variations. Not for the shortcuts that many busy admins learn when doing our day to day jobs. So, right out the gate, my scores were poor. My experience and resume didnt seem to mean squat anymore. Also, it seems AppleOne has seen a shift in the types of office jobs they offer. (Or at least, thats what I was told.) So many of the gigs require Bachelors or Masters Degrees by the employers for just answering their phones and filing. (At least, thats what I was told.) And they seem to have an aversion to the fact I commute to work by MTA instead of driving. (Surprisingly enough people, it is a reliable form of transportation. Ive been commuting by train and bus for YEARS in LA, havent had any issues.)So, its been months and I havent been called out to anything, and when I have tried to call or email them (always in a very professional tone), the responses have been short and curt, giving me the impression that Im bothering them by asking for a follow up.So in short, if you have your s@#$ together out the gate, AppleOne might be able to find you work. Practice those unforgiving PROVE IT tests like your job depended on it. (It does) And when they ask if you have a reliable form of transportation, never tell them you commute by train or bus.
Online process was very quick and neat. I got called the day before my interview and was totally dismissed because my experience was recent. They apologized, saying there was nothing they could do and that was it.I was very disappointed with their service.
Never got a call back and every time I called they kept forwarding me around
I went to AppleOne in Downtown Los Angeles, took the test that youre required and after a week, got called to various temp postitions. One that I got called for was for the County of Los Angeles Agricultural Commissioner/Weights and Measures, I temped with them for 8 months, till the company wanted me permanently, I really dont understand what the problem is with the people that rated AppleOne 1; I would definitely be back to AppleOne if my current employment is terminated.
My dream
