The American First Responder CPR AED First Aid training was an amazing experience! My instructor, Alejandro, was very attentive, patient, kind and answered all of my questions. He is very knowledgeable and left me feeling assured that I can provide this type of training in the case of an emergency. This was my first time taking a safety training course and I enjoyed it so much! Would highly recommend everyone to take this course because I left with very valuable information and skills.

Alejandro was a great instructor and made the BLS course memorable and enjoyable. He ensured we left knowing how to render emergency care if a crisis ever arises. He taught us the basics and even gave very useful facts and statistics to accompany our learning and support our understanding of certain topics. He made great use of the boards in the classroom, which helped immensely since I am a visual learner. I was very confident taking the final assessment and I am that much more prepared to start my EMT program. The class started and ended on time, and we received our BLS cards before leaving. I would highly recommend this course to everyone, specifically the classes led by Alejandro. You will learn life-saving techniques and have fun in the process with a personal touch. I would give this class 10 stars if I could.

I went today to renew my First aid/CPR/AED in adult and pediatric and my instructor was Christian. I felt so welcomed and he focused and made sure we all understood clearly and made us feel comfortable and I am just so speechless on how great everything was. He made everything so easy! He really cared about us understanding and made sure to not feel bad if we wanted him to repeat a lesson again. Very determined and made the course fun! I felt the time flew by fast that’s how much I enjoyed it! I will definitely recommend to others! I will definitely come here again in 2 years (:

I took my ARC-Fa-CPR-AED class today and it went amazing! I was really nervous at first because it was my first time taking a CPR class! But my teacher was amazing and so patient so it made me feel comfortable to ask any questions I had! Her name is Lupe, if you get her as your instructor you are lucky! she’s great!

I took the BLS class this past weekend and learned so much even though this was my 8th time taking this course because it is mandatory to keep my license. I must say hands down that Alejandro (the class instructor) has been the best instructor I’ve had this far. His passion to teach the course and save lives is awesome and contagious. I signed up for the the Adult and Pediatric: First Aid, CPR, and AED in person instruction with Chris. I was surprised to see how much I learned in such a short time. He was very thorough in teaching everything. Guided me so I would be able to learn the skills in an easy way. I got so much excellent advice on how to improve each procedure. He answered all the questions I had. Was very helpful and friendly every step of the way. The class had such great tools and equipment, it made it so much easier to learn. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and family.

Needed to obtain my CPR certificate as a teacher and this class was perfect. The classroom portion was done online and then a short, but very informative overview and practice of skills in their little classroom. The instructor was very nice, explained everything thoroughly, and even gave us tips for handling unusual situations. Will definitely come back to AFR when I need to recertify in 2 years.

If you need to get CPR/First Aid training, I highly recommend signing up with AFR. I needed to renew my CPR cert for work, and with the pandemic, I took the first part of class online through the American Red Cross. The hands-on portion was done with AFR, and Alejandro was an excellent teacher who went above and beyond to make sure everyone left confident with their skills. I will be recommending AFR to friends and colleagues!

Took this course with a group from work and we all loved it! Alejandro was amazing at repeating thing that were important to know and correcting us when we needed some revision. Edgar was brilliant. Highly recommend the online AND in person skills test. Practicing CPR on the mannequins definitely helped grow my confidence to be able to do it in real life (although of course hope I never have to) and also having the infant mannequin also helped to understand the different amounts of pressure needed for different ages. Also found the first aid and AED sections very useful and learnt lots of new things I never knew.

I took a blended course of CPR/First Aid in which I first had to complete an online course before the in-person class of 1 hour. I just completed my in-person course today and loved my teacher, Mr. Platon. I cant say enough good things about him. He was more than I bargained for, in a great way. It was obvious he really cares about his students education on the matter. He provided us all the information we needed and practice to feel confident we could effectively perform CPR and first aid in an emergency, and he gave us additional time for those of us that had further questions.He also provided statistics that impressed upon our class the importance of learning these life saving skills. Besides the obvious reasons as to these skills being lifesaving, I did not know how the chances of a person in the Latinx community receiving help, are 50% lower. Being a member of this community, I am happy to be an another resource in the case of an emergency.I will recommend this class to everyone I know.Had I known this class was so informative and enjoyable, I would have taken the full day course.Theres a quote by Mister Rogers that I love that he reminded me of, “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’” Mr. Platon is one those helpers and anyone who learns under him is lucky to have such caring and effective teacher.

Alejandro arrived on time and was ready to go! He teaches the class in a practical way and really gets you ready to apply the knowledge out in the real world (hopefully you wont need to). I definitely recommend this instructor and program because the entire process, from signing up to completing the course, was very easy and extremely informative.

Just went to American First Responder today through Red Cross and it was really nice. The CPR mannequins they have had lights that would tell you if you were going deep enough with the chest compressions and if you were going at a good pace. Our instructor Alejandro was very good at explaining how and WHY we should know CPR. It was good to have someone so passionate about being able to potentially save lives through CPR. I would definitely recommend this location.

I did lots of research trying to decide where to get my CPR certification, let me save you some time and choose this one! I needed to get certified for my job ( Ill be working with children) so it was important to me that the training also provided an emphasis on infant and toddler cpr/first aid. I took the Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, and it was amazing. Literally covered everything. I did not think I would enjoy this course as much as I did. There are two parts to it, the online modules and the in person skills test. So glad this place offered the in person part, lots of other places dont, which is weird. You would think this should be a requirement everywhere. Going in person to do the skills made a huge difference. You get to actually practice and the instructor shows you what youre doing wrong/right. Alejandro was my instructor, and he was amazing. The whole experience was great. Highly recommend. Will definitely be recommending it to friends/family and coworkers!

Great teacher! I took the Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED course. The course was very informative and thorough. Alejandro from American First Responders was my instructor. He was an amazing teacher; he took the time to answer all my questions and it was clear that he was very passionate about preparing individuals for emergencies. 10/10!!!!!!!!!!!

Instructor was awesome. Place is small about 5 people fit in that room. MUST use sanitizer before entering we had to wear gloves when using the mannequins and AED. If you dont have your BLS booklet you must buy one, book is good for the next 5yrs. Not sure how much parking is in that building, but there is 2hr street parking and class is appro. 2hr.

I had to do it for administrative requirement, I Thought it would be annoying, ended up being a great class and a very good training for potential real life situations, the teacher was great!! I recommend this place !!

I reserved an appointment the day before, and everything went smoothly. Alejandro was great at explaining all the necessary concepts/skills needed to deliver high quality CPR. I got there early, there is parking on Virgil . Great environment and the price was good. :)

The class was very well organized and taught in a way that really drills in the steps of CPR and the other important factors you need to consider. It’s also taught at a good pace so you can learn as you practice.

I went to the American First Responders to get a recertification from the American Red Cross. I was very pleased with the course.
