The name Denim Doctors is truly true. I drove over 15 miles to get my jeans fixed by them and it’s definitely worth going that far. After they fixed my jeans, I wasn’t able to find where the issue was. I met with Zip in there. He’s a very nice, fair, and experienced guy. Thank you so much, Zip.

By far and away LA’s best selection of Vintage Levi’s, leather belts, denim and leather jackets and boots too!!

They did a really great job repairing my Diesel jeans that I had worn a hole in. You cant even see where they did their work, it blends right in. The amount of work they did for such a small repair is astonishing, but I wont have problems in that area again. The repair was $95, so this definitely isnt for cheap jeans, but if you have a classic pair that you love, Zip and his crew can fix them for you.

At Denim Doctors, Zip and his team run the best denim alterations-and-repair in Los Angeles.Just praising the tailoring wouldnt do Denim Doctors justice - this space also hosts what may be one of the best vintage Americana shops on the West Coast. Their stock is far more than just jeans: their selection of classic band tees, Western wear, and leather jackets is both extensive and well-curated.Prices for both tailoring and purchases are more than fair, especially considering the quality of work. Amazed at the re-distressing they applied to the hem of my a pair of vintage MiUSA Levis 501s when shortening the length, their work is almost indistinguishable from the original patterning.Tl;dr - the best denim alterations and vintage Americana in Los Angeles.5/5 Stars

Zips shop of vintage denim is topnotch quality. I would highly recommend shopping at this store before hitting up RRL on Melrose. He also was able to repair my favorite 1940s denim flight suit! If you have any need for denim repair or vintage denim clothing, this is the best place in Los Angeles, hands down.

I wasn’t aware I needed the doctor until I found THE Doctor! Height isn’t my greatest attribute and my jeans aren’t considered investment pieces by any means but Zip listened and took me out of my slouchy length boot cut norm I created for myself. Looking at all the nice denim around the shop definitely peeked my interest! When I decide to splurge, the second stop will be to Zip without a doubt.Pricey - a bitWorth it - definitely

Real-deal know-how and expertise. Reworked a denim piece that was shredding and mended by unskilled work back to integrity and minimal visible work.

Customer service wasnt bad, although they didnt call when my pants were completed. 4 week waitlist for a hem seems a bit long, but it was shorter than the 6 week quote. Chain stitch hem job was good, but for $45 is very steep, and couldnt find prices online. Overall 3.5 stars

I never thought my favorite pair oj jeans which cost $$$ could be repaired to even look BETTER than when I originally purchased them. I also love all the vintage merchandise they sell as well...

A accidentally tore a big hole under the back pocket of my jeans and I thought I was going to have to throw them away but then her friend mentioned that she had fixed her jeans at a place called the denim doctors and so I googled them and all my goodness they completely fix my jeans and I can hardly tell where the hole was!!!Thanks Denim Doctors!!

Horrible. They said it would be done in about a week, it took almost a month and they weren’t responsive when I followed up. When they finally got back to me I came and picked up my jeans and they did not do what I asked for, completely wrong. Don’t waste your time with them.UPDATE: Today, 8 months after the incident, the owner has contacted me claiming that they have no recollection of any customer experience fitting (my) account, nor can we verify anything about (my) identity from (my) name Tyler Burten in our records. Could it be that youre spelling my last name wrong? That you dont have an adequate record keeping system in place? Or both? Based on your negligence in the way you ruined my $200 jeans, I would say its both. This 8 month late response also feels like an accusation of fabrication on my part, so Ill provide further evidence of this incident by including a screenshot of my Yelp review in which your owner responded to me, acknowledging and owning up to the ball dropping. Button up your business, guys.
