A fun experience for the whole family! Went here on Monday and I had the best time. Paying for an hour is so worth it. $11 per adult and $6 for kids 0 to 17. Passing by the fountain gives you a fresh mist of water. Be prepared for a little “leg day” feeling as the boats are foot pedal powered.The biggest boat fits 5 people :)

Absolutely loved this experience! A very affordable ($11per adult/hr) and fun experience. It is a perfect idea for a cute romantic late night date. It is also family friendly with great hours of service. We reserved a boat for the night time experience and we had a lot of fun. Will definitely come back.

I had a great time. The staff was very friendly. Swans were in great condition and I dont have to wait in line very long. I like the fact that you can reserve your swan/time slot ahead of time...clean park and great atmosphere... definitely will return.

I decided to do something fun with my bf. With everything going on, I decided to book us some tickets to go on a swan boat ride in Echo Park. It was such a fun experience on a hot summer night. We got some good exercise peddling around. The lights around the swan lit up the lake. Such a romantic fun atmosphere. Highly recommend.

But cant wait till you can just enter from any part of the park and chill were you want

Ive been wanting to paddle this lake for a while and when a tour to Angelino Hgts. and Echo Park added this option, I got on board.This lake is so well designed and the center fountain is ultra cool with rainbows and fresh water sprays as you circle it.Theres some cool wildlife flying around including a blue billed duck with a black and white head and rust colored body...!The lily pads and lotus flowers add the exotic touch.Finally, the boating staff were great. Polite, friendly and good humored which you have to be while rescuing boats stuck in the plants on the edges.A lovely adventure.

Perfect day-date activity! You WILL get a leg workout, so dress appropriately for paddling a boat. Make an online reservation ahead of time.

Very nice experience overall. Took gf out on a night ride, and the hour doesnt seem like a long time before you go in, but once youre paddling, time goes by super slow especially since youre enjoying the city views that reflect off of the lake. The mass amount of ducks and swans around too is a really nice touch.

This place was fun.... The boats and life vest were clean and great working condition. The staff was very helpful to get in and out of the boats and friendly during the whole experience.Definitely a place for the whole family.

My husband and i came here for our 1st anniversary it was romantic and we loved how the city looked once the sun was down also great way to beat the heat

We enjoyed it! Hot as fire out in the sun so Id definitely suggest staying towards the shady shore. Lots of turtles and ducks to spot along the way and even played the trivia game (scan the QR code). Great exercise and time well spent. We enjoyed the ice cream but you cant take it on the duck boat with you though.

This was our first visit to Echo Lake to pedal the Swan Boats. We loved the ambiance that the lights give the swan boats at night. On the downside, the parking is very limited and the park rangers locked the gates on the side of the lake that was closest to our car which happened to be on the other side of the lake opposite the boat rental dock.

This is a hidden gem! I enjoyed a lovely afternoon stroll around the lake

You gotta make a reservation but it’s so much fun. You can rent for an hour and that’s honestly more than enough time. Such a beautiful view day and night. There is a lot of homeless people around the park but everyone minds their business for the most part.

Ive always wanted to ride the swan boats here at Echo Park and I finally came here earlier this week with my friend NH. You have to make an online reservation before you come--they are not accepting walk-ins. It is so easy to make a reservation online and with the fees it comes out to $12.08/person for the day boat. The reservation is for one hour and starts once you are checked in on the dock. The check-in process was really fast and they handed us life vests to put on. Then we went to the dock to get into our swan boat.I didnt do the steering since NH had done it before but it seems pretty easy. The swan boats are a little slow to change course but overall it was fine. We paddled around the lake very leisurely and it was a great experience. We took a lot of photos by the fountain in the middle and then just hung out for the rest of the hour around the perimeter.This is definitely a fun activity to do with your friends, family, or on a date!

Great place to visit fora walk, atmosphere, the sprouting mist of water and my favorite - ducks!I plan to visit again!

Really fun. Felt a lot of swans were out, mostly fake some real lol. Part of lake was closed and then middle was a big fountain that you had to dodge along with the other boaters so could get congested in some areas. Boats were nice especially for the night illuminated ride.

Our 1st time using the peddle boats. The walk leading to the boats was full poop! Wasnt sure if it was duck, dog or swan poop...but I would suggest bring an extra pair of shoes for the park walkway or use the sidewalk on the outside of the park to arrive at the boating area. The boats werent clean so just be prepared to bring a towel to wipe or sit on. We arrived during the morning 930am & my daughter had a good time. I would return... but I will be prepared with rubber boots and a towel... it seem like the park would be cleaner but who knows? Ill try Balboa park peddle boats next and compare.

It was an awesome experience and I 100% recommend you try it. Its very inexpensive $11 for adults and $6 for kids (17 and under) per hour. You get some amazing views if you are in the area dont pass out on it its a lot of fun. The boats are also really stable and can hold 1400 pounds so youre safe.

We reserved for 3pm but didnt get to go on till 3:30. The ride was nice though.

We went here on Sunday at 8pm. There was a bit of line but went fairly quickly with the reservations we made online. We had fun and the swans looked pretty lit up at night. I will be coming back soon.

Lovely lake and park area. The swan paddle boats were extremely fun and relaxing. They do take some work before you can get to the relaxing part. We were able to bring food and drinks and even music onto the swan which only heightens the comfort and relaxation aspect of the business. The rental price is per person not per swan. So for 3 adults at $11/hour youll shell out $33. I originally thought it was rental per swan and once we got to renting, I saw it was way more than I thought but still very affordable. Easy choice to come back every weekend.

I love echo park every since they clean it up from the homeless encampments it feels more welcoming 🙏 and more healthier then ever! The sunset evening makes the swan boats look great

Echo Park is beautiful. Perfect to walk around with your honey or solo, or just sit and enjoy the scenery. You can go on a boat ride, lay a blanket on the grass have a drink chill, or feed the ducks.

This was really fun but tiring! Going to LA, my gf and i really just shopped and ate good food, but this spontaneous activity was worth it. The day time was better for photos and the view too. Night time things are too dark and the swan lights are kinda dim

Rental boat is easy and straightforward. The price is $11/hr/person. Basically you can rent for one hour and stay as long as you want. They dont really care. Since this lake is so small, 1 hour can let you go around this lake twice so I think thats why. boating here is fun if you wanna close the water jet. You can also boat with many ducks and birds. Finally I understand why the boat needs to look like swan lol

So much fun. Ive lived in Los Angeles many years and never played on the swan boats. It wasnt nearly as cheesy as I thought it would be.

TIP: The only toilets nearby are the parks public restrooms, and these are in a very poor state. Be prepared before arriving, especially if you have young children!Apart from that, its a fun way to spend an hour with kids, while getting a nice view of downtown LA.If you plan on pedaling close to the fountain, bring a towel, and possibly even a change of clothes - you can get very wet, very quickly. Especially because you cant move away from the spray in a rush!

Make a reservation and walk right up. The kids loved it but it felt like I was pedaling through syrup... thats because Im out of shape. Track the workout you will get with your smart watch and pedal under the water fountain on a hot day.

Friendly people, really helpful and good at explaining basics for new cyclists. The equipment was in good shape. I like that they provide a lock and key so that I didnt have to babysit the bike. Reasonable rates too. They provide helmets of various sizes if you dont have one. Also the location is perfect---a block away from the beach bicycle trail. Check it out!

My Father would bring me to this park when I was a kid, I loved when hed rent a boat for us and try to get me water sprayed at the spout of the lake 😂 This park was recently upgraded and cleaned up for the community to enjoy. It saddens me to see this beautiful park turn into a Campground for the Homeless when there are Shelters available. I empathize since I too was once homeless. I took the steps necessary that were available. It was difficult and frustrating but I did what I had to do without making others uncomfortable or take over a space where Children should have Priority to play in a safe environment where Adults dont bring shady behavior... Just saying 🤷🤷✌️✌️

The park is nice, the boat rides are better at night. Probably better when cold outside, the mosquitoes go way. They have food vendors in the park. Good food, I got the corn and the fried wheat crisps. FYI the park has homeless camping.

Really nice now that the homeless are elsewhere. vendors still outside behind the gates 🙌

They are open again, but they have it in closed in a fence, so if you like prison, you will feel at home there.
