My brother was going to get married 6 months ago and the girl is Armenian so they decided that the wedding is going to take place in an Armenian banquet hall . Long story short I was looking for a celebration spot for a while and to be honest with you wasnt expecting much from banquet halls since there are 3 on every street of Glendale. After thorough search I landed here... Monte Cristo in Hollywood (coworker recommended to check it out and so glad I did).Met with the owner and he gave me a rate which was a little above my budget, but after clear explanation I was told that it includes over 30 (main, appetizer, salads) food, drink, DJ, colorful table cloths, CAKE, fruits, a picture album w/ pictures of that day, video and alcohol. Since there was a wedding that night they actually allowed me to stay and watch. After that I couldnt wait to see our celebration to take place in this gorgeous banquet hall.Finally the big day arrived and no exaggerations... we had a blast... We got an exceptional service, delicious food, all at a reasonable price. The location was very convenient and everything exceeded our expectations. Food was exquisite (you can tell they are only using fresh, seasonal ingredients inspired by Mediterranean cuisine), spectacular presentation, and first-class service.I cannot say enough and all of our guests agreed with us about this great restaurant. It was a perfect event and definitely will recommend for all your great occasions.

One of the best and good looking banquet halls I have had the opportunity to go to. Did my baby shower here and my sons christening. I must say you will simply fall in love with the food, the ambience and your pictures will come up amazing no matter where in the hall you take your pictures at. Every corner is perfectly fixed and everything looks good. The food is so tasty that you will keep on eating without stopping. And, both times of my occasions I ended up taking so much food home that we did not have to buy food or cook for a week.Amazing place, wonderful and friendly staff!

I am in love with this place. I did my baby shower here and my sons christening. IF you are a person who loves luxury and amazing food then this is a place for you. I love the way the staff works and they never rest while you have your fun, party and go home completely fulfilled and satisfied. I am going to do my other kids christening here next year in April. I love this place and I love how the prices perfectly reasonable compare to the other places, and the amazing unlimited food they provide. Love love this place. Thank you for making my 2 events unforgettable and I am looking forward to my daughters christening. Amazing decor with royal treatment.

Chick, elegant and reasonable. I have been at this hall plenty of times for my occasions and for my friends and families. I just love this place and my employer is using this Hall for the food since we are having end of month lunch for all our employees. So we love the food. We have diverse employees at the office and they all enjoy the food from here all the time.Not only this is a wonderful place that you feel like you are a royalty once you are in, the food is amazing and unlimited. Why paying $50.00 per person and get one type of food if you can pay less per person and get unlimited food for the whole night?I will not change this place for anything else. They are top of the line and so clean. Love their management and their employees.

Last year i had my baby shower here and it was exceptional! I was so happy with the service and food, all of my guests were fully satisfied. I got so much food for my 100 guests and drinks so everything including the amazing service. We had food coming during the entire event of mine and waiters/waitresses were on their feet the whole time. They changed our plates 3 times during 5 hours during my baby shower that I had there. I was amazed with great service and the food was very yummy.I had my other kids baby shower in some other hall but I was not happy with the service and with this one I know that from here on all my occasions I will have it here since it was a reasonable price, excellent service, better food and the owners were so involved and they really made my experience worth while. Thank you so much to Monte Cristo for making my baby shower such a memorable even with their excellent service.After the event was over they packed leftovers for us to take home!

Gorgeous hall!!! Seems like it has been recently remodeled. Food was fantastic, but way too much!!! Most tables had trays of food untouched or half eaten. Beware when planning your event. It was a shame for all that food to go to waste. Has two ladies bathrooms 😁

My family has held 2 events here. Their food is great and the hall is beautiful. The owners are very friendly and always willing to work out a good deal. Compared to other similar halls their prices are much better and they provide excellent service.

I went to this place for a wedding. I didnt know the family much, only one of the bridesmaids that had invited me. Bought a wedding gift and payed for valet parking. When I got my car back from the valet, the guy just ranned to get another vehicle. I got in my car and made it home. The next morning (which was today) as I was on my way out to do errands I see my front bumper from the drivers side completely damaged!!!! Long story short, all of the valet attendants AND the banquet owner did not owned responsibility and all they said was, Wheres your prof? Do you have proof? Worst experience ever!!! Now Im stuck with a deductible payment for a wedding where I knew minimal people and HORRIBLE valet services! No shame!!

We had our daughters Sweet 16 at Monte Cristo Banquet Hall in August. We had the best experience, the food, the service, was excellent. The venue is beautiful !!!, our guest were more than happy. I would definitely recommend this venue to anybody and everybody.Thank you,The Barragans

Considering what this place put my brother in law and fiancee through, I hope people take the negative reviews here and on yelp seriously. Also note that the beautiful decore and art Deco style is no more, and its now called the Louvre, and it looks like ANY basic club/lounge out there. So technically, the Monte Cristo Banquet Hall doesnt exist anymore. Oh! And also, theyve been getting rid of alot of the negative but honest reviews on yelp.

This place isnt called monte cristo banquet hall, its now known as louvre . its a really nice place & the lighting in here is beautiful . The staff is really nice & the food is really good, they literally fill up the whole table with food ! The bathrooms are really clean and the ambient is really nice overall . Parking is trouble though and valet takes a while to bring your car back .

Im DJ Max, i had the opportunity to DJ a wedding at this place and let me tell you that is awesome, is very classy there is lots of room for guests it has beautiful decorations and the people there is very friendly.

I was here the other night and i only have an observation to share about the layout. the bride and groom were meeting each other after walking down the stairs but guess swhat, the bride fell off the stairs and we had to call the doctors. and ive been scarred for life. mood: concerned #neveragain #scarystairs #brideproblems #agroomslife

I called to inquire about services Monte Cristo offered and the customer service was absolutely horrible, the man I spoke to was very rude after I inquired about a particular sundays they had available, he says your going to make me go through the whole list! I pass, the is beautiful but I had a very uncomfortable experience! They obviously dont like to answer questions!

My experience with the monte cristo and owner mike has been a horrific and hearbreaking. My fiance and i were considering the monte cristo for our wedding reception. My brother-in law and sister recently met with him and knew right from the beginning he was someone to avoid, but because my fiance loved the banquet hall, i decided to go against their warning. From the beginning, i did not care so much for his all businesses attitude, but i gave him the benefit of the doubt. That was a big mistake. We met with him, came several times with both parents, and greatly complimented his art-deco style decor, the crown moldings, balconies, staircases, and beautiful candleabra chandeliers. We expressed that we chose the banquet hall soley on the look of it, like anyone else would. Owner mike, looked us straight in the face and told us how proud he was of his banquet hall and he does not like the modern look of most other halls. We later signed the contract and put down our deposit.Several months later, my fiance and bridesmaid happened to be in the area and wanted to see the venue we loved. To her disbelief, the monte cristo no longer existed. The banquet hall was re named louvre and the decor we loved was completely gone. It looked like ANY of the modern clubs/banquet halls owner mike said he did not like. My fiance called me crying hysterically and in that momment i felt helpless. I let someone hurt my fiance so much and i was powerless to stop him. I called and mikes partner jack refused to return our deposit. He said he owns it and doesnt have to let us know of any changes. He said its his place and we are the only people complaining. (These reviews say otherwise) Jack told me that mike was out of the country and would be back july 15. Since he made the contract with us, we were told to speak with him. My father spoke to mike and explained because of his lack of communication and breach in our contract, all the plans we have been making for our wedding for the past year were for nothing and we would now need to start from scratch. He asked for ONLY our deposit back, mike said no. My father told him we would take legal action against him, and mike said go ahead and do whatever you need to do but im not giving the deposit back. Since then, we found a larger and more beautiful banquet hall, and are in the process of taking legal action against owner mike, parner jack and the banquet hall louvre, formerly known as the monte cristo.Please keep this review in mind, in addition to the several others with similar experiences. Please do not ignore these reviews for people wanting to complain and really take them to heart. I dont want anyone to get hurt by this man again.At the time that this happened to us, i was furious and very hurt, but now, reading all these reviews and all the people this man has stolen from, cheated out of agreed food items, and increased prices, DAY OF, im convinced that God had a hand on getting my fiance and i away from this awful place. I thank God that my fiance had driven by to see the banquet hall or else, like many others in these reviews, would have arrived the day of their event only to find everything had changed and have no choice but to continue. Our once in a life time experience and special day would have been completley ruined and stolen from us forever. I would never wish that on anyone. And i cant imagine anyone would want their significant other hurt in such a way.The owner mike and his partner jack may have stolen our deposit, but i know for a fact that i have saved the deposits of countless individuals who read these reviews and decides not to go with these people.

We had my daughters Quinceanera there on March 9th 2013 and this place was awesome!! Mike took great care of us! I couldnt pass up the deal he gave us. All our guest loved the classy look of this place. We search so many locations before choosing and in new this was going to be a hit. The food was another thumbs up! there was so much of my guests complained that they wished they had another stomach to keep eating. I especially LOVED the sideorder which was the jalapeno and black olives!!! it is very recommended. I would definitley recommend this hall to anyone. Thanks Mike for the wonderful memories you help creat.
