My mother had a case here for a U Visa. I believe they began the contract a few years ago, it took a few years to even obtain a simple police report. I called the police department directly and provided them with all the info for the report. I assisted the paralegal obtain most of the preparation for the case. All for them to tell us another contract was needed and prices were very high. I explained our dissatisfaction with their service on communication but they did not care they just wanted us to pay again. Never once spoke to a lawyer. We were given different lawyer names. My mother was told to pay all fees upfront for a quicker process yet it took many years to even get a response. Do not fall for they’re sales tactics especially on the Latino community.

I called today, they tried transferring me to someone named Blanca, before being transferred I asked if this was an attorney because it was like 7pm, the person that answered the phone was extremely rude, I mean the level of rudeness was beyond ridiculous, I asked her what was Blancas title or was she going to give me more information, she didn’t even let me explain she just transferred the call, I call again and asked her that I wanted to know more information before getting transferred, with out saying a word she transferred me again!!! I was told to come into the office and speak with an attorney for my son. When I got there I was put in a room with a phone. I had no face contact, just over the phone. I explained the situation. I was told by Christian Gonzales, it would cost $10,000 and I need $5,000 to get started. I paid a total of $6,400And was told they La Liga Defensora cannot Represent me.I ask for my money back.. To this day I havent heard from them.

Well I later on got a call from the Lawyer taking my case an well for now I hope he is fighting for me an not do nothing since my charges are Federal an the system is is trying to get me to say a name so that i may go thats wrong what if I dont know a name that they are wanting from me I feel like pressured to say something that i have no knowledge of . Should have known something was off when the lawyer had a money bag tattooed on his hand. When I first arrived a woman in the waiting room asked if she could get her parking validated because she had to wait so long to be seen. The staff coldly and said no, knowing that woman didnt have $20 to pay for parking. This place feels like a lawyer run sweatshop. I know representation is costly but I would shop around first.

Immigration gave me a timeframe where I needed to send more evidence of my case and the lawyer didn’t even bother to call me to see what we needed to do to send those evidence Paperwork immigration was requesting, i called him many times to let him know but I got the feeling he just didn’t care. The Matian Firm helps hundreds if not thousands of people win their immigration cases. As an immigrant myself, that has navigated through the immigration system I know that his firm has the best faith and intentions for the clients they serve.

We are extremely disatisfied with their service. The receptionists provide excellent service, but when it comes to the actual process and the paralegals/lawyers there is a huge area for improvement. After receiving copies of our records, we became aware that it took them a year to call us back with (wrong) findings. On top of that, the lawyer(s) handling our case did not meet with us to address us personally when we made an appointment to inquire about our case. It wasnt until we had left the building that a lawyer decided to call us to admit an error had been made. We totally understand, we all make mistakes; however, when the client does NOT receive a call to make him aware of the error, we are talking about poor work ethic and lack of professionalism. Not only it took them a little over a year to call us with wrongful findings, but it wasnt until 7 months of that call that we had to find out on our own that there was an error. I hope other people have better luck with their case. As of us, we are beyond disappointed!

Do not get involved with this firm, they are liars and very unprofessional theyre very pushy for you to sign the contract, the person that does the first interview expecte you to commit right th here and if you say no her attitutde changes immediately and leaves the room the she sents another one to push on you to sign the contract with them, however they did not comply with the way they were supposed to work my case and the woman who was taking care of my case was not even an attorney but she said she had consulted with the attorney about my case wich was a total lie after I told her I did not believe her and demanded to speak directly to the atorney 3 times I finally was able to talk to her and she agreed with me that my case was being misshandled. I decided ti cancel the contract on breach of trust and after 3 weeks i am still waiting for my money back. DO NOT TRUST

My attorney constantly showed up unprepared and kept getting my case confused with their other clients. No waiting! My friend ended up retaining La Liga Defensora for his DUI. The legal team at La Liga Defensora followed up with my friend on a weekly basis and kept him up to date on how his case was going. I highly recommend using this firm. The office staff was friendly. Everyone was very warm in a very tough situation.

I a few people I know recommended this law firm so I hired them for my case.I hired them and did everything over the phone because I didn’t want to fly up there again. Their attorneys said they would handle everything for me while I was in LA, and I wouldn’t have to go back to San Jose.They did it! My court date and DMV issue was all handled for me and I didn’t have to show up. I’m happy i called and hired them, they did a good job for me and honestly saved my job because they handled everything from San Jose and i didn’t have to miss work to go back

I requested time sensitive paperwork be mailed within a certain time frame and for some reason they do not seem to be able to do this. I have had to call multiple times in order to confirm this action. Still, almost one month later, it has not happened. These individuals were paid for their services but that must not register to them as a priority since they already have their money. Everyone I speak with starts talking in Spanish. Even worst is receiving a call back from them by someone speaking Spanish and when I tell them my concern I just get hung up on. This place stinks of unprofessionalism.

0 stars for this company. They were unprofessional and failed to show up to court unprepared. The attorney George Rosenstock failed to attend court twice. He sent another attorney named George L. Fernandez who was not prepared for the case. When I spoke to one of their manager Gonzalo Sansores, he was rude and made fun of the situation. Our family was charged 10,000 for a poor job. We did not want to complete paying the balance and we were sent to collections. Please do not use this company they were very unprofessional and rude.

They are thiefs and frauds, we hired this David Wagmeister attorney for immigration and he didnt do anything to defend my brother from a court hearing. He never visited him at his detention facility with ICE and he had no clue under what penalty code he was being accused of to get an inside of what he was dealing with. So at my brothers hearing to request a bond he send my brother deep into a hole. He literally just took our $3,000 and left us do his dirty job. Luckily we then contacted a different lawyer from a different law firm and he was so honest not like this stupid Liga Defensores and he was able to help. Dont trust this firm. Go and find an honest lawyer not like this firm. They give you this letter when you want a refund for not doing anything for your client and they charge you for things that they didnt even do.

I call it a trick because we were told that the attorney didnt get winnable cases and that our case was winnable.We heard the announcement on the radio, 101.9 FM! that they were the go to people for immigration cases. Well, thats a wrong decision. We were forced or better yet coerced into paying more than 1000 on the spot because the offer was only for that day if we wanted to proceed with the case. So, technically we were convinced of paying because of having a winnable case and having a discount. Now, we were told that the case was not favorable and that it was dismissed. But our money was not going to be returned because it was part of the process. So asking the police department for the report cost us more than $1000. We were given false hope. Hiring them for my immigration case was A huge mistake. I dont know how they manage to have more than One star on google . about a year ago I started the process with them I was naïve at the moment and because they so-called them self professional I listen to everything they told me I paid them what they wanted me to pay them. After doing my research turns out I paid them triple what I wouldve paid any other good lawyer for I-30 .I would reach out to them to ask questions and they were never available. Half of the people working there dont know what theyre doing . When I decided to close my case with them because I found a really good lawyer elsewhere, they took forever to return me my documents as if they did it on purpose. The last time I spoke to them they told me they would take them 24 hours to have my paperwork ready keep in mind this is about three weeks after I had already asked them for my documents. My husband was really upset so he went up to their office and demanded all the paper work at the moment !! after all they are your belongings so theyre legally supposed to give you everything. Within a half an hour my husband had all the documents in hand !once he had everything he asked the paralegal or secretary whatever he is for the lawyers name that represented us and her license number they fail to provide that to us and responded saying that the lawyer was no longer with them! Through out that process the one who puts the prices and juices you for your money with lies is Blanca, if she cant close you she will call someone named Henry or some other guy . FYI none of these people are lawyers ! Dont let yourself get robbed. Your better off else where .

I hired La Liga Defensora a few months ago. My brother in Law got arrested on a Friday for DUI. They took the case, went to court for him. Now the entire case was dismissed.We are really happy with the results and good service.

Worst customer service. Employee by the name of Jonathan is rude, obnoxious and humiliated my husband has no customer service etiquette he has so much lack of professionalism. I don’t know how that type of person can be employed in such a so called prestigious company. THE WORST!!!

Great timely service. Great at explaining to you the process on whats to come and what to expect without going around the bush. Very straight foward, loved that they have payment plans, and the line up of legal experts they have is incredible. You defenatly get the best defence possible .

I had a really bad experienced with them. I paid 2,500 and the immigration lawyer dint do anything. My husband got deported and they dont want to give my money back. They charge for every little thing! Without no results. Soooo disappointed 👎

I never saw the lawyer and the person who assist me didnt seen very knowledgeable.
