Typically more expensive than some of the big hardware stores in Espanola. Theyll only price match if its the exact same brand. E.g. mulch is 3.99 in Espanola, but 8.99 for the cheapest comparable product here.

So Im standing in the right checkout line six foot from the person in front of me. There is to checkout attendant on the left side, nor any customers on the left side waiting to checkout. A man walks up to me and tells me to stand on the red line. I respond that Im 6 feet from the person in front of me and that there is no red tape for this side of the checkout. I ask who he was since he has no identification on. He tells me that he is the General Manager of the Company, and essentially he is by State Law, giving me verbal direction and not to argue or else he is calling the police, and to basically leave my merchandise and get out. If you did not want me as a customer, even though I was wearing a mask and was maintaining a safe distance from other customers, you convinced me of that today! Just a note, that the regular staff including the Manager at the store have always been kind and courteous and the actions of their General Manager is the basis of this poor review. Follow up...I was not in violation of anything. Your red tape needs to be applied to both checkout lines. Im not letting you off with your generalized concern for customers safety bs. Your GM was wrong for confronting me in such the way that he did. I expect a call and apology plus your correction of having store staff wearing the proper identification, plus proper signage(there are no signs other than the enter with mask sign on the front door) in lieu of applying tape in both check out lines. Perhaps I need to complain to the State about your noncompliance issues.

The only neighborhood hardware store Ive ever seen where I can get heavy duty, US made grade 8 mil-spec flange bolts and nuts, the latest Leatherman tools and putting soil for my wifes permaculture experiments. Friendly, helpful, well stocked for its size and location.

Its not what it used to be, but still a good selection considering the size of our town. Specialty items that used to be readily available are now getting harder to find. Management blames the distributors. That could be, but in my opinion it was better when it was True Value, compared to Do It Best.

They had a 5mm square crankshaft pulley key for a 1993 Miata when I could find it nowhere else. No parts store carries or can order this part, the dealer discontinued it, but it was in aisle 17.

1st time there since moving here 3 days ago. They had what I was looking for and saved me a trip to Santa Fe! Thats a big plus for me! Friendly staff and a reasonably well-stocked store. Ill be back!

Pretty good hardware store for the area. Of course youre paying lost almost prices so if you have a choice go elsewhere. Washington factory hour and 20 minute drive to get anywhere its a bargan again.

Only found half of what I was looking for. Still looking for some extenders 4 mm and 1/2 inch or so high.

Friendly help. Prices kinda high but its the only place in Los Alamos to buy many items. When buying multiple items from same bin, always check to make sure they are all the same, since inventory is often in the wrong bin.
