This dojang is a very supportive environment for all ages. Lower and higher belts all train together, practicing a wide variety of techniques. There is a strong focus on saftey, and sparring doesnt really happen outside of tournaments. The dojang provides equipment, including punching bags, training weapons and padding. Weapons training includes sword, staff, baton, bat, knife, and nunchuk training. Staff and baton training is offered to all students, and more dangerous weapons are only taught to older students. The general curriculum for this dojang is traditional Taekwondo. Older-style wide stances are used in favor of the more modern narrow stances. Each belt has to learn a traditional form, such as Chon-ji or Koryo. Self-defense routines and breaking techniques are also taught to each belt.
My daughters asthma is GONE, after several years of hospitalizations! Shes so much stronger and healthier now, I can hardly keep up with her. These people are super personable, and they follow the traditional Korean form of Taekwondo vs the American. The yoga instructor, Tonya, is very, very, friendly and her students seem to love being there with her.My daughter loves it here and we love that shes learning to control, protect, and empower herself.
Very professional and super friendly staff. They truly care for the children and that’s what I love most about it.
Affordable, great sense of community. I recommend master Zambri and also Yoga classes for parents!
