As an athlete going here I would say this is the best cheer gym I have been to. Once you join Legendary Athletics you automatically become part of the family at Legendary. Would definitely recommend it for all ages.

My family and I can’t say enough about our positive experience here. We went to two other gyms before finding our forever home at Legendary. The Legendary experience is so much more than cheerleading or dance. The staff excels at teaching life lessons, manners, and appropriate conduct in real-world situations and beyond. Legendary even helped me get into college and get a scholarship! 13 seasons wasn’t enough and I still keep in touch with life-long friends that I made in the process. You will not regret choosing Legendary.

My oldest daughter has been at Legendary for 5 seasons and has grown as a cheer athlete throughout her journey. My middle daughter is in her second season on a hip hop team and has loved every moment!

We had a fairly good season here but we are just not excited about the new location. It’s not in the greatest of areas and unfortunately many others feel the same.

Coach Megan told my daughter she was “worthless” so we will be taking our worthless money elsewhere.

Last season was our first at Legendary and my daughter absolutely loves it! She started tumbling at Legendary mid-season 2 seasons ago to enhance her skills and so we could get a feel for the environment before switching gyms. She was never once made felt to be an outsider or unwelcome. Quite the opposite actually! We made the decision to switch gyms and it was the best decision. The coaches create a positive, fun, family environment for the athletes while teaching them the skills to be a top notch team. They are also taught to be caring, respectful and positive to other athletes, team members and competitors alike. We are looking forward to the upcoming season with our LA Family!

My daughter has been apart of the Legendary family for the past three years. She cheers and dances for Legendary. Both programs are EXCELLENT. At Legendary its truly feels like family and my daughter is not just a number. My daughter created very strong bonds with other athletes and coaches. Especially her coach Megan McDaniel. The coaches are so loving. They truly put their heart and soul towards the athletes. My daughter LOVES the gym so much she wants to go on her days off. If you looking for a competitive cheer or dance gym that is loving, positive coaches, encouraging parents, and an overall great team atmosphere, then this is the gym for you. Legendary is our family forever.

Legendary is one of the best cheer & dance gyms in the area. Are there other gyms in the area that are also good? Yes. But please do not put your stock in the recent negative reviews that are attempting to make Legendary look bad. A few disgruntled parents are trying to tarnish the gyms reputation. The coaches at Legendary truly put their heart and soul into these teams. We have been with the Legendary family for 4 seasons now and I can’t imagine going to another gym.

This will be my daughters 5th season cheering at Legendary Athletics! There are two other well-known gyms closer to us, but we continue to drive to Legendary because we love the coaches and friendships we have made there. The gym is a friendly, positive environment where my daughter feels supported and challenged to be the best athlete she can be. When she struggled learning a new tumbling skill, her coaches gave her the confidence she needed to push herself and succeed. We are so happy to be a part of the LA family and couldnt imagine being anywhere else!

I’m really surprised by the reviews of this gym. My two daughters have been cheering for Legendary for 3 years now and we have never encountered anything of what people are saying on here. I tried putting them in multiple other programs but they always ended up getting bored and not wanting to do it anymore. They have loved cheer and Legendary from the very beginning, I love seeing them so passionate about something. At Legendary Athletics we truly have a second “cheer family”. Not only have my girls formed amazing relationships with their cheer sisters, my husband and I have gained many great friends as well. Coach Megan has been such an amazing influence on both my girls, she is an incredible coach and they love her so much. Every time they learn a new skill she videos it and sends it to me, so lucky to have her. We will forever be a part the the LA Family.

Thanks for the great coaches and staff at this gym. We are starting our 4th year here. We started with Rec cheer classes and then moved on with comp team cheer. Both my kids love the staff, environment and teams every year. The first parent meeting I attended the head coach told us he would be more proud of good sportsmanship during a competition that a first place win. Thats a gym I want to be a part of! My daughter came here with a passion for tumbling! Her skills quickly improved and she went on to cheer half then full season. She loves the friends she has made and has had an overall great experience. She goes in three days a week and wants to be there! It’s refreshing and encouraging when she reminds me of when it’s time to go!

Legendary Athletics is one of the best cheer and dance gyms in the area. They are passionate about what they do, and who they are doing it for. They take pride in everything they teach, whether it’s cheer, dance, or life lessons. They truly care about each individual child and give a safe space for kids to feel welcomed, loved, wanted and heard. Please do not listen to some of these bad reviews, most/if not all of them come from a resentful parents or other gym owners that are creating fake accounts to make Legendary look like something they are not. Legendary is family forever, and my family will always bleed TEAL, because Fam(ily) is Forever. Bring on season 9 LA! WHOOP WHOOP!

I literally have no words to describe the love and appreciation I have for the coaches, big sisters, friends, and overall community my daughter(and I) have found at Legendary Athletics. Its a wonderful feeling to watch your daughter love something so much. The twinkle in her eyes and giant smile she had today because of these people leaves me speechless.

Don’t be jaded by the small handful of current families being asked to leave positive reviews. We went to LA for 3 years. Best decision we ever made was leaving. My daughter was held back year after year and then bullied into “trusting the process”. We tried out at another gym and ended up on a team 2 levels higher. My daughter was then contacted and guilted by one of their coaches about her decision to leave. You can’t treat kids that way and you are not entitled to our business! They have lost a ton of talented kids this year because of the unprofessionalism of the staff. The owners need to clean house.Do your research!

It’s ridiculous that to leave a review I have to hide my child’s name out of fear of retaliation. Do not send your kids here! Octavius is a has been who seems to think he is the best thing to happen to cheerleading. Dana is burned out, rude and unaccomodating with other school activities. Do your research before attending by speaking to one of the 25+ people leaving this year. Yes, LA was once a great gym, and we very much loved it here. Many countless hours were spent, tears were shed, friendships were formed. But it’s not the same as it once was. Leave this page and go check out Top Gun.

My kids thrive at this gym. My oldest daughter started in 2nd grade and has improved tremendously as a cheerleader and dancer. My son found his passion doing hip hop last year. Legendary got him out of a funk and made him love something again.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Despite how amazing the coaches all think they are, the coaches are immature, obnoxious and mean to kids. This is apparent in the glowing reviews the coaches have all left for themselves here. If you are not one of the favorites, expect to have your child yelled at, patronized, and treated like she’s replaceable. So glad we left and found a better place.

My boyfriend and I dropped in while traveling. This gym is super clean, has great vibes and the coach that was there when we were was super friendly and helpful. Overall great gym!

I attended my first ever cheer and dance event to watch my grandchildren perform and amazed at the skill and kindness of everyone. As long as they keep bringing me I’ll keep coming back.

This gym is despicable-they allow coaches to call children names. They encourage and give special treatment to children who pay for privates and or buy all of their extras -the favoritism is blatant. They allow bullying by team members who from the best I could observe CLEARLY are learning from the coaches who have an air of superiority & work here to re live their high school cheer days. I observed one coach in particular roll his eyes at a childs mother who had reasonable concerns. Dont walk RUN from toxic environment for impressionable girls.

Wonderful gym. Supportive staff. We love legendary. This gym encourages healthy competition to help your child not only grow as an athlete, but as a person. We’ve seen our daughter mature and make lifelong friends in just three seasons. Legendary supports ALL teams, ALL athletes at each and every competition. As for Sarah’s negative review, she attends another gym in the area. I’d take it with a grain of salt.

Stopped by last week to check out signing my daughter up for cheer. We were excited to check it out since they seem like such a great place. The building is nice when you walk in, but the staff is a different story. The girl who came to the front, I believe her name was Carly, was so rude and seemed so full of herself. We were treated as though they were doing us a favor by giving us the time of day. Needless to say we will not be returning.

My daughter cheers for a team that was at the same competition as them last weekend. We live about 45 min away from this place but it was the first time seeing them at a competition. I overheard grown adults talking poorly about other kids, coaches walking around with a bad attitude like they are better than everyone else. What a poor example to set on kids. I would never in a million years send my kids here. Newsflash: you aren’t even as good as you seem to think you are!

Joined the rec program thinking my daughter could sharpen skills to compete, but it was a joke. It’s somebody’s grand-daughter who sat and hung out the whole time. Just don’t offer a ref program!

There aren’t enough words to review this place properly. Your daughter either is or isn’t in the “in crowd” and heaven help you if she’s not. The coaches pick and choose who they favor and if you take your child out because of the favoritism they bully your child at competition and have others (parents)do it as well. They even encourage the team members there to say disgusting things to them. Heed my warning don’t go near this place much less take your child into this toxicity

The gym is clean but staff is far from professional which makes me question their ability to Coach impressionable girls .The behavior that I observed at several competitions in last few seasons & in researching the gym exhibits poor behavior on what should be friendly professional behavior. This is cheer world you should be upbeat not eye rolling and hair flipping as adults.

My daughter started with Shine Athletics, than started with LA when they united with Lake Mary All Stars. She loves being apart of Legendary. We have all become a family. Cheering for her has become more than just about competitions. I highly recommend Legendary. The staff is amazing!

You will have a great experience at this gym if you are one of the favorites. And whatever you do, once you join, don’t leave. If you quit to pursue other sports or school cheer teams, you will be hounded and harassed by grown adults that work there. Disappointed with the behavior of the coaches!

My stepdaughters competed against this gym several times, we have traveled extensively with cheer. Having said this my fiancé’s niece was at this gym so I had high hopes watching them compete. The performance was not bad, what was deplorable was the way the staff behaves. They are childish and unprofessional. The children imitate this behavior from what I see and in one particular situation I overheard staff rolling their eyes and negatively speaking about a parent (s) in presence of children & other adults who seemingly were affiliated with the gym. I advised my fiancé that I would pay the difference for better coaching and a better gym overall immediately for Top Gun. At least then the girl will be coached and encouraged by professional ADULTS

I started at Legendary as an athlete and now I am honored to now be coaching these amazing kids! Legendary has a remarkable facility with a remarkable staff to match. I have now been on both sides of the spectrum and overall I wouldnt trade this place for anything else! The staff creates a positive atmosphere for all the kids who walk through that door and seeing kids walk out of practice with a beaming smile is something you cant put a price on. The kids are challenged, yet they also have fun and build friendships that last a life time! Legendary is the place to be!

Last year they made too many teams and we were asked to be on 3 teams. Then we had to pay to be on all those teams which we didn’t even want.

It is so disheartening to see that people would take time out of their day to talk poorly about a gym they’ve never attended. Legendary is and always will be family forever!!!

I don’t know where to begin. I was hopeful when a couple new coaches were brought in. Coach Reid is awful. He spends more time checking his social media than he does actually coaching kids. Injuries get ignored by all the staff and the kids are guilted into participating when injured. If you care about your child’s well being, you might want to do your research before sending them here.

Had been sending our kid there for parents night out for two years. It was fun and enjoyed by everyone. In those two years, we had 1 behavior issue, which was when she was 6 if I recall.This month, she had another issue with behavior at age 7. She wasnt following the directions of one of the adult coaches. Her story of the events include her misbehaving, but add that the coach said some cruel things, and allegedly grabbed her twice by the wrist to pull her out of the gym.I contacted the administrator to look into it, but due to the holiday break it would be ten days before getting back to me because everyone was off for a week.Her research which I presume took place over a week after the event, was as thorough as one could expect in that she gathered statements from the adults and reviewed the limited camera angles trying to piece together the narrative.As expected, the statements dont support my childs claims, and the cameras dont show everything, so we are left with a genuine he said, she said situation. At 7 my child hasnt started making up stories like this, and admits to her bad behavior, so shes not trying to protect herself. As far as the adults and the facility however, I cannot say the same.They have jobs and careers, and a business to protect, so theres that. I do believe the administrator did her due diligence... But I also dont expect a business in charge of kids to admit to such an event because of the liability and impact on their business.Our kid is no angel, but she iswell behaved for her age, gets flowing comments from teachers, and no behavior concerns otherwise. This facility has two Google reviews claiming hot tempered coaches..... Which is more than our kid.So they said they can only go with what they have as evidence, and feel we should not have kiddo return. While I appreciate that, its only been twice in roughly 60 visits that she had an issue, and its only been her having a meltdown, not her harming others so we feel thats excessive.However, considering that our child is now afraid of going back if that particular coach is there, I cant see returning anyway. Were still debating if we should involve the authorities, but given the time thats passed Im not sure how effective that would be.So decide for yourself, but including the two others thats now three complained about how the coaches treat the children, and at some point you have to remember that theyre coaches, not child development professionals or educators.

My daughter came to Legendary Athletics 2 years ago. This gym is our 2nd home! We LOVE Legendary. My daughter does both All-Star Cheer and Dance Teams. The coaches, parents and athletes at LA are a step above the rest! We are a family here at Legendary.

Would not recommend, coaches get annoyed with kids. They are not family friendly. I have a 6 year old and baby under 5 months. My child that goes 2 times a week to classes to help her get in some activity because her school doesnt offer that much PE or other physical activity.About 2 weeks ago our 6 year got very sick. So I decided as a good parent just to keep her home from school and from extra activities and not get other peoples kids sick and spread more germs around. I called today to see if we could make up the other class as I thought it was going to be no problem. Legendary did take my money in advance for all of the classes. The girl on the phone when I called in to see if there was a spot open today for the 3:30 class. Said, oh, we dont encourage makeups and it doesnt work with our program.So they take peoples money with no problem but will not let the children come to a makeup a class because she was sick. Really sad how someone can think this is ok to do to someone and take from children. I am sure that they had available in this class at 3:30. We have taken this class before. Guess its all about the money and not the kids. Time to give our money to another business that is about the kids!

They are only nice to the kids who spend a lot of money there. Everyone else’s kids are treated like garbage and ignored. The kids who I assume are there more frequently clique off and ignore the others. My daughter was excited about trying gymnastics and now is discouraged and has lost interest. You lost a great kid if you care!

My daughter has been a cheerleader at LA for 4 years now and they are all like a second family to us. The staff and coaches are amazing and it is owned and run by some really wonderful people. I cant imagine going anywhere else. We love LA and highly recommend it to everyone who wants to be a part of an awesome gym with awesome people!

I love this gym! Not just excellence with skill building but also teamwork and GREAT sportsmanship! Not to mention the awesome birthday parties you can have there as well as summer camps. I highly recommend!Have read others posts and to say that coaches sit around and yell at kids is very incorrect from anything I have experienced. We have been here for 3 years and I dont see it as cold -- even from the first day we walked in. My child is not a favorite as some of the bad reviewers said. The coaches are engaged, LOVE their job (I dont -- I wouldnt want it and couldnt do it) and all of the families are friendly. If youre waiting for a red carpet just for showing up ... you probably need to find a gym that isnt active. But if youre going to tumble/ do hip hop or cheer... its isnt free not matter the gym you attend.

This is the most despicable gym I have ever experienced! They have no patience w their athletes and only favor those whos parents pay extra for private lessons. I was never allowed to speak to a coach and they called my daughter the wrong name ALL season. When I got fed up and took my daughter to a different gym, they encouraged their athletes to bully my daughter relentlessly. Another parent was also physically attacked by a legendary parent at a recent competition. This gym promotes bullying, violence and bad sportsmanship. This is NOT a positive environment for children

DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR BANKING INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!Lacey their billing person, decided that six weeks prior, she had accidentally undercharged me. While running my card without authorization for a week of summer camp that was confirmed as paid by Lacey personally, she also ran my card for a week that we were not attending camp and a week that was paid for, the price was raised and charged for that too.While addressing these issues with their staff, I was laughed at for being upset for such a small amount of money apparently $290 is pocket change for the managers and employees at Legendary athletics.Take your kids ANYWHERE ELSE!!

I observed these coaches and teams at a competition last season. The adults were talking poorly about other children and behaved like children themselves. These coaches are poor examples of how to behave as a human much less a coach as was also displayed in quite a few of the girls on their teams. FYI you guys aren’t even as good as you seem to believe you are. Disgraceful behavior to display🤮

Wouldnt recommend to anyone. When you walk in, its a very cold and unwelcoming environment. You dont feel like you belong. Unless of course you are spending money with them and you are one of the favorites. Coaches just sit around and yell at the kids. Very unprofessional.
