The phone customer service is astonishingly horrible for a place that is meant to help people with resources and housing. Majority of the employees are extremely unprofessional and rude, which appears to be the normal. There are however some actual good employees, but very few and far in-between. Rebecca Allen specifically is a horrible person to work with. She doesnt seem to take her job seriously at all. In fact, in one of our meetings she mentioned that even she is surprised they keep her. Well, so am I.
Amazing people all around, I am so very appreciative for EVERYTHING CAP has helped me with- to many people to thank, but they know who they are 💯💙
In the past, when I had called and left a verbal message for the director I never received a call back and that was a bit surprising. This has happened in the past and really should be looked into. If any human beings call and leave a message for what ever reason, someone should have the decency to return the phone call. The way some DSHS programs are operated are questionable. A week ago I was trying to address a concern to a lady in a department. I looked at her badge & it said Melissa, Program Director. For being a Directorshe was very rude, curt and brushed me off. She didnt have the decency to even greet me or walk me to her office to have a private conversation. Instead she addressed me in front of somebodys desk as we stood there conversing. I thought that was unprofessional and tacky on her part. She might need a bit more coaching and training regardless if shes a director of some sort. I sure miss others that have moved on or retired.
My family desperately needs help. We lost our home, good credit, and so much more due to COVID. PUD handed us to CAP to try to assist us with an over $1000 debt with the power company which accumulated during COVID because I lost 100% of my work and my finances hours were also reduced greatly. We were told that they have plenty of financial support because the government gave them a grant. We spent weeks obtaining social security cards, sending in piles of personal information, and doing phone tag to try to get assistance. Hours and hours of time and expense that we cannot get back. Only to get told that we dont qualify because my fiancé makes too much, which is absurd because he doesnt make very much and gets about 30% of his money taken for child support and has had reduced hours. I cant understand how we can be losing everything and have to sell our stuff just to make basic payments like car payments, and not qualify for assistance. We needed this help. They wanted us to again, send in paycheck stubs and proof of literally everything in our financial lives, for the 3rd time, despite nothing changing for us. Why would I waste more time we dont have? We need to figure out how to pay bills so we can find a home! We are cold and depressed and tired of having to go place to place to place. We now have survival expenses and storage unit expenses. It would have been really nice if we were shown even a little bit of kindness and got this assistance that we needed so badly and worked hard for weeks to earn. I jumped through so many hoops to get the information needed and have had little to no employment since the pandemic started. We had no debt before, and now are swamped in $7,000 of debt and bad credit. Nobody wants to rent to us or put power in our names because of it. We feel very hopeless. So if you know any kind of resources that actually will help us, please! Us and our kids need help really bad.
Very helpful staff, good to deal with, class$ are well versed, nice folks
Warm helpful folks..thank you!
Very helpful in times of crisis, Thank you so very much 👊
They moved us into a apartment that they assured us was fully renovated. We told them that we had moisture issues in august, they gave us dessicants. Told them that the moisture issues were getting worse. They said theyd take care of it, told them in nov the issue has niw progressed into a mold problem. They said theyd take of it, they didnt. Finally we said, that we werent paying rent until this was resolved. They offered to put us in a very tiny house that couldnt accomodate 1 adult let alone 2 adults 1 child. Then they in turn said we had to pay for them to not only displace us, but we still had to pay for the rent & utilities. Oh btw, the apartment they moved us into isnt insulate . Has lead paint, black mold, asbestos & a bug issue. Thedy treat drug dealers better than they treat law abiding tenants. After telling them no, they resrted to using a lawyer for scare tactics, they demanded that we pay rent way ahead of time. Longview CAP are nothing mire than glorified slumlords.
