There was little time to prepare for what was needed.  My spouse passed suddenly and unexpectedly.  The warm people at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, TX, welcomed my family with great and real comfort.  We were never rushed, never did we feel as though we had entered a big box store.We were lead through the processes with amazing understanding, and when we asked questions, we were not viewed as ignorant, even though they had just discussed what our question was about, they just went over the steps again.The people at Rader know youre not at your best when you come see them, so they do their best to make sure you know what to expect before you leave, and are quite gracious if you need to call 2 hours later to make sure something was covered in the conversation.  They contacted me about a month out, just to check on me.  Totally unexpected, and gracious of them.I highly recommend Rader Funeral Home for your time of significant loss.

My dad passed away in April. We used Rader for a cremation only, no service. Very emotional when my brother and I met with them the day after he passed. No words of comfort or advice. The only resource offered was a booklet pushed across the desk to record food dropped off at the home. Very cold and impersonal. No follow up calls. I actually had to call to check status to find dad’s cremains had been already returned. Today to add insult to injury I got a phone call today from Rader or at least someone purporting to be a representative. Quickly learned it was a sales call trying to sell me on future services and advanced planning. To whom ever to blame, too soon.

My experience with Rader regarding my Son passing was incredible. All staff were very kind, considerate and very gifted in the ways they responded to me and my family. Mr. PrestonRader was extremely responsive to my needs. He basically took care of everything and kept me informed through out the process. They also followed up with me afterwards and offered to help me in anyway they could. I needed help during the Covid 19 Pandemic. My husband used hospice services so I could be with him. When he died of heart failure my family could not travel to be with us.
