Gave them my mustang after an accident. they werent sure if they could get OEM parts for it and might have to put aftermarket parts on. I said no and to call me if they find out what insurance will pay for. They ended up putting OEM parts on but never called me to let me know one way or another. Not very communicative until you can get ahold of someone like Elvis. He was great and very informative.

I decided to go with McDaniels auto body shop after my 97 Miata was hit in a parking lot and I could not be happier. The service at McDaniels was outstanding, they frequently emailed me updates about my cars repair progress as well as phone calls. The car turned out fantastic the paint was perfectly matched, it looks better now then it did before it was hit due to the fading paint. I will recommend McDaniels to anyone that needs auto body repairs from now on.

I have been lied to time and time again by this company. They have had my car for going on six weeks to fix a bumper. Everytime we get a Date to come pick up the car we are called that morning and told it will be another week. We get the same excuse about them ordering the wrong part. At this point I am paying for a rental car because of the incompetence of this business.I dont know who from this company reads these but you have issues from top to bottom. If any potential customers are reading this go somewhere else any where else.

I’m so impressed with this body shop. I have driven 2 vehicles to them from shreveport because they have such a good reputation. They are very polite and go above and beyond making sure your vehicle is safe to hit the road. They’re customer service is outstanding!

Unfortunately I have had to have my vehicle at Quality 2 times in the last 6 months with 8k to 10k dollars in repair through Farmers insurance. The quality work they provide is always outstanding, better than any body shop I have dealt with. What is better is the representative assigned to me. It was David Sledge both times. He was very professional and fair both times. He always stayed in touch with me and seemed to do the best he could for me in all situations while being fair to both parties. He answered any questions I had and I could always get in touch with him. In all, I was very happy with the work provided and and the people I dealt with. If I ever have more work to be done on my vehicle I would definitely use Quality and David Sledge.

Honestly McDaniels has the best team in Longview they are all professional up front honest and fast they guarantee their work and if you have a problem even after your car is done call them and they will work to get it fixed I would HIGHLY recommend McDaniels for any car repair

The work wasnt done under my name. They did work on a friends car, the job was unfinished, unprofessional, and took much longer then they promised. They have unsucessfully attempted to fix the mistakes they made. They used to be a good company, but obviously things have unfortunately changed.

Absolutely the worst experience i have ever had with a body shop. Little to no communicate with the customer. I had to do the estimators job on contacting my insurance company to get them payment. When we have proof where it was due to lack of communication on McDaniels Personnel!! I am highly disappointed and shocked on there customer service cares and needs!!!

I was promised my truck three time in a month and half timeframe and and the even promised me it would be done and guess what I had to call them and hunt them down because no one would take my call not one time did I get a phone call back to tell it won’t be ready just for a back right corner bumper that should take maybe 2 weeks time frame to fix and that giving the mail being slow delivering parts and paint never ever will I go to them the sorry customer service

McDaniels Paint Department is a Very Professionally operated Paint shop, your needing your vehicle painted, McDaniels Paint shop is the best in Longview McDaniels Paint department manager has 43 years of experience, its the best paint shop in Longview.

McDaniels has worked on multiple vehicles for our family and have always done a great job in a timely manner. Hopefully we wont need a body shop in the future but if we do we will go to McDaniels no question asked.

Great Work.

My mustang had substantial damage after a bull mastiff ran out in front of it. The body work they did was sufficient. But there was a dent in the door that they just painted over instead of fixing. And my side mirror had gotten spiderweb cracks in it and that wasnt even touched. Its still cracked. There is a hubcap cover missing from the drivers side tire and the wiring harness they had to replace, its saying that there is zero tire pressure in the drivers side tire. (Tire is completely fine, except for missing cap) they said that the job would take 2 weeks and ended up taking 3 days longer because they missed that the wiring harness was damaged ... I feel like they shouldve noticed the missing cap or at least put the parts together so they didnt get separated...I also feel like they shouldve noticed the tire pressure wasnt reading correctly and so maybe they shouldve checked the wiring stuff they did. Im glad to have my car back though. But probably wont be using them again. I would think after paying $8,000 in repairs that there wouldnt be much to complain about. I couldve painted my dented door for alot less but I wanted it fixed. Insurance was covering it so it wasnt an issue of them getting paid, maybe they just didnt want to do it. I dont know. But now I get to take the car back to the parts manager to check these issues out.

I had work done to my car and my adjuster Jake Oden was Fantastic. He kept me informed of everything, always responded to my questions I had. I have to say there attention to detail is great. I recommend Jake Oden and Mcdaniels Paint and Body shop.

Brought in a vehicle, they didn’t fix everything headlights wobble, battery dead like it had been on for weeks. Brought it in they told me a week and a half at max it’s been there for 3 weeks. Absolutely horrible would never recommend id be cheeper to buy a monkey and teach it to fix a car. You’d still get the same quality to.

Well well, this is fascinating. After I left a 1-star review lambasting McDaniels for outright rudeness and hostility, I see they have somehow managed to have my review deleted. Im sure they were just too embarrassed by the numerous facts I laid out. Maybe its just as well, though, seeing as so many others have also had bad experiences since then, but Im adding my rating back today. This is by far the best body shop in East Texas. The office personnel are the most friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful people Ive ever met. The technicians are the best trained with the most modern equipment in the industry. And the owners are very nice and pillars of the Longview community, dedicated to only the highest quality, craftsmanship, and customer service possible. I would recommend this shop hands down over any other in East Texas.

This place is horrible. Nobody can answer your questions directly and they overcharge. Definitely a shop of extortion. Called around and found my service $300 cheaper. As a Longview mechanic of 15 years I can honestly say Ive never had this much trouble with auto service and I will not be referring any of my customers to this shop.

I think there was some huge confusion when I went there. I wanted to get an estimate for PDR since I was referred there by another body shop and they knew their guy was in on this day. I think they thought I was trying to go around the shop and use him directly. I didnt even know you could do that. I didnt care whos name was on it, a just wanted a dang estimate. They told me, You get an estimate from us! Not him! . Was so confused. I guess people try to avoid using the shop all the time considering the response I got. I ended up leaving and was left with such an awkward experience I dont think I could go back here again.

Service was slow, when I went to pick up vehicle there was a problem on the deductible which was not their problem but the way I was treated was their problem. The lady handling the paperwork treated me as if I was a con man. We got past that and now I will have to take it back next week for two issues in the work that are not right and who knows how this will end. At this point I would warn others to beware.

Had to paint my whole car twice. Kept my car 52 calender days & had more damages to my car when i go it back. Dont go there, my warning to you.

This place and its employees are nothing but trouble. They tore my car up and wanted me to pick up my car at closing and after I got to looking inside my car I had broken pieces that were put under my sweater in the back seat. They never fixed my right. The staff comes off very nice at first then when they get your car its a fight to get it back. They opened a emergency kit in that I never opened up. I hope you will not leave your car with these people

Had my car fixed there( great work ).

I thought McDaniels was the best auto body shop in town - or at least that seems to be the word around Longview. And the first time I used them, they did ok, better than the repair work Ive seen from other body shops. Dealers even seem to prefer them. This second time though... they have done me all sorts of wrong.My car came out of there with custom parts missing, car damaged and mechanically tampered with, the body not put back together properly, and things not aligned right - and I cant get them to call me back about it for the life of me! I can leave messages until Im blue in the face but it never matters. Ive tried going up there, but the people I need to speak to are never there. So they offer to call me back and then of course, dont. Meanwhile Ive had to spend $400 (so far) out of pocket to fix all the mechanical problems theyve caused - all the while I raise concerns with their internal adjuster about the tampering which he swears they didnt. Obviously....The replacement parts they say theyve ordered (to fix what was either misplaced or taken off my vehicle) are yet to be seen. Its been a few weeks and I cant even get a reassuring update.I had to park my car for a while until I was able to figure out what was wrong with it. I was without a car for nearly three weeks until I could afford to fix the issue. I got the code right away, which was a running lean code. I drove it until it eventually started acting up more and parked it until I could do better. What an inconvenience...I called them today and the lady at the front desk who picked up their line laughed in my face about my issues and told me Good luck. How courteous.Maybe as I consult with State Farm, my insurance agency, they will see fit to either remove McDaniels status as a preferred shop or force them to make it right with me.Their great body work is just not worth all this hassle and other damages.There was also another guy in there mad about some issue with his Mustang when I first brought my car in, and while he refused to tell me what was going on, he was absolutely furious. At that point McDaniels had taken care of me pretty well, but after this go around in the shop - I can see where he might be coming from.

They did good on my brothers 2007 avalanche Z71 but they forgot to put the side fender and once they put it on wasnt well installed and then he take it back they put it on again but they make a mistake on the upper grille instead of a Crome grille they put a black one and he dint realize till a month later so he just have to leave with that thanks to them but good paint job 👍

Good body work but horrible service. I dropped my truck off on a Monday and was told it would be ready by the end of the week...i should have asked which week...maybe which month. There were always a mountain of excuses but I only got those when I called and waited on hold for 30 min. Even when I finally picked the truck up all of the work had not been completed, I had to take it to another shop which I should have done in the beginning. I do not give many 1 star reviews but this place earned it...STAY AWAY!

Horrible experience. The people that work here drove my families vehicle and hauled something in the back of our brand new vehicle. When we came to pick it up there were dents and scratches inside of the bed.

I took two cars to McDaneils to get hail damage repaired. The only reason I went with them was due to them having a Geico Rep in house. Well, bad move. I first sent in my car. It took OVER THREE WEEKS to get fixed. I constantly had to call just to receive an update on the completion date. Elvis (the shop foreman) would tell me that it would be finished by the end of the week. Well, I called and then he said it would be finished by the end of next week. Complete runaround. Once I got my car, I thought I would give them the benefit of thinking maybe the hail damage was worse than I thought, and thats the reason for the three weeks. So I picked up my car, and dropped off my Toyota Tundra to get hail damage repaired. BTW they put my lettering on my car in the wrong spot, so I had to take it back to them and have them order new letters. Nice quality control. Anyway, my truck took 4 weeks this time. Same deal. Complete runaround. Noone would call me and give me updates. I had to constantly hound them. Once I finally got my truck back, I was driving it home and then stopped for gas. Walked around to the front and noticed that a filler piece below the headlight had almost come off. I immediately called McDaniels and Elvis said, Oh yea, my guy said that it was broken from a previous body repair and was glued back. It wasnt our fault, but we could glue it back if you want to bring it back. Hmm.... After closer inspection, I found out that there was no glue residue to hint at someone else breaking it. Ive had the truck since I bought it brand new off the lot. No previous body work. The screws that were supposed to hold it in place were completely gone from both sides. Hey, if insurance is paying for it, why not buy new pieces and make it right? They already inflated the price for the insurance company anyway, so $200 more wouldnt hurt. In one week, an average body shop could take all the metal fenders and hood off the car, repaint, and put it back. Why did it take over three? They couldnt tell me.If you are in a rush to get something done, dont even think about this place. If you dont care about your time and like to just sit around until they decide to get it done, I recommend McDaniels.Bottom line, there are plenty of other great body shops in Longview. This one does not care about the customer nor the quality of repair.
