Dr. Janelle OBoyle performed a PRE for my child custody case. She works hard and will make her decisions based upon all findings. Regardless of who hires her, her focus will be 100% of what is best for the child. She will balance concerns the parents have and cut through all the finger pointing and determine what is in the best interest of the child. She does this to the exact standard how a PRE should be. A fair and balanced resolution that best accommodates the needs of the child. She does have a passion for her work. She takes every case very personal.Basic background: I didnt want a PRE and I didnt choose her. I was apprehensive at first that perhaps there might be some bias because of this and the other parent had selected her. I found zero evidence of an bias. If you are wanting answers to what is best for the child, she will give you exactly what you need. If you are selecting her for a PRE in the hopes she will lean your direction, that will not happen. We ended up at 50/50.*Note to any parents trying to work through child custody issues. Take a look at your self and really weigh whats is best for your kids. Not the other party, but at yourself. I learned a lot about myself in this process. Not necessarily what is best for you, but what your kids need from us as parents. Another thought, dont talk bad about the other parent in front of or to your child. You are not scoring points with your child, your hurting their perception of you. Dont let disagreements between adults drag the kids into the situation and become pawns. When that happens, there is no real winner and the kids will lose either way. I wish you luck. When you get a moment, give your kid a hug and them you love them and how important they are to you.

Janelle is insightful, professional and a therapist of high integrity. She is an amazing listener and creates and holds a safe place for personal growth. Shes honest and compassionate. She tells it straight and than can at first be hard to hear - but she always holds your highest potential and growth at the forefront of her work. I highly recommend Janelle and her work.

Janelle did not show up or cancel a confirmed introductory appointment with my daughter. We arrived 10 minutes early and waited in the cold wind for 20 minutes past appointment start. Office building was locked and her office, which was visible from the street, had lights off. Nobody responded to repeated knocking.Janelle did not answer her phone when I called from in front of her office to ask for her for an ETA. Two days later and she still hasnt responded to my voicemail. Finding a child therapist is difficult and my daughter was looking forward to starting therapy. She was crestfallen when Janelle did not show up.Its a requirement that to receive therapy for the therapist to actually show up to appointments. Missing even one appointment, without notifying of a cancellation, is unacceptable. Missing the first appointment without cancellation sets the tone for how she conducts her business. Not responding to a voicemail seeking a call back about the problem indicates that she clearly cant run her business and we shouldnt giver her the benefit of the doubt.Janelle is clearly not trustworthy and everyone should seek therapy elsewhere if they want their therapists to show for appointments and respond to phone calls. While our childs psychiatrist did not recommend Janelle, we will make sure our psychiatrist is aware of this for when shes asked by other parents for therapist recommendations.

I found Janelle Oboyle to be an extremely effective therapist. She applies a balance of practical support (such as in leaving an abusive relationship) and fostering a clients ability to gain emotional insights into their own lives. She also helped me in a very difficult time of professional upheaval when I lost my job. Janelle is professional, conscientious and has a wealth of education and experience behind her. I have recommended her to friends who also liked her very much. I would go to her again if the need arose.

Dr. OBoyle is a wonderful therapist and counselor. She is extremely professional, insightful, and compassionate. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking therapy--adult or adolescent--in the Longmont area.

I hired Dr. OBoyle as PRE for a custody modification case. She didnt investigate any of my concerns about my ex properly. Its obvious she thought I was lying and believed his word over my word even though I have the evidence showing his abuse. Hes a narcissist and charms people, and I would think a doctor of psychology should be able to figure that out. Its obvious she waited until the last minute to write her PRE report because she turned it in the day it was due during the final hour. The report had many errors and omissions. She didnt believe me when I told her my son had autism even though he has an ASD diagnosis. She admitted on the stand during our trial that she doesnt do any investigating beyond what he says versus what I say, and she makes her decision based on what parents say and not actual evidence. I feel she should not be doing PREs, because she did not make recommendations that are in my childrens best interest. Im having to spend tens of thousands of dollars trying to protect them since Dr. OBoyle failed to see the truth even though I have evidence of everything I claimed. The father of my kids got a DUI with his kids in the car, was arrested for domestic violence, and left his kids in the care of a mentally unstable 13-year old who take psychoactive drugs, yet she gave him more parenting time. I have devoted the majority of the last 15 years to raising my children as a stay-at-home mother in a good, stable home and I have no mental health diagnosis (like she insinuated in her report). She believed the verbal lies of a narcissist over the actual evidence I presented. I dont usually leave negative reviews, but I feel others need to know because hiring Dr. OBoyle was a huge waste of time and money. Dr. Janelle OBoyle is the reason why people who have been in abusive relationships dont reach out for help.

DADS BEWARE - It is hard to describe in brief the lack of competency and unprofessionalism received by Dr. Janelle OBoyle and her partner Ms. Elizabeth Seaboch. During the PRE process, I received a text from my ex two months before the report was completed stating that she had spoken with Dr. OBoyle and they planned to produce a PRE report that would negatively impact my custody case (this was sent to me to spite me). When the report was finally submitted to the court (produced 30 days late due to Ms. Seabochs extensive, non-compromising personal calendar), the report was full of errors such as questions only asked to my ex and then presented as fact, misquotations from the witnesses, and completely false statements that the witnesses said they never made. The report was supposed to be very in-depth, yet they made no effort to investigate any of the relationships my ex was having and the impact it was having on my son. When Dr. OBoyle and Ms. Seaboch were confronted by their witnesses and me, they refused to address the issues in writing or via phone call. I have significant written documentation to support my allegations and would be happy to discuss this information with any dads who are considering using these two for a PRE.

Left out a lot of information on my behalf I dont recommend this lady she put such a front on really unprofessional what a waste of money!
