My horse lives better here than if I kept him at home. At EAH taking care of horses is not something they do, it’s their way of life. Because they know and care about the horses as individuals, they don’t just look at them every day, they see them. Not just their bodies, but their moods. The focus is on treating horses like horses, and by having their bodies, minds and emotions taken care of, the horses thrive.EAH is a great place to be not just philosophically, but practically. The prices are as excellent as the quality of care. I work full time, and instructor Autumn Haney is wonderful about finding ways to accommodate my limited schedule. My questions and concerns are always answered promptly. The property is clean and well-kept, no broken wood splinters or dangling wire to worry about. English, Western, jumping, endurance, liberty, there is a diversity of activities and people. It’s a place where I can board my horse and feel confident about his care, and also be supported in learning the things I want and need to know. I’m so glad I found Autumn and a chance to experience working together in partnership with a happy horse.

I would absolutely, hands down recommend EAH for boarding and training. Horses get daily pasture turnout, personalized feeding, monitoring, and care from knowledgable staff. The facilities are well-kept, and include an arena, several open pastures, and an obstacle course. The barn atmosphere is calm, communal, and friendly.Autumn has helped immensely with both my horses, as well as my understanding of them. Its obvious when you witness the behavior of her horses, and of those shes helped train, that she has a gift. She seems to be able to communicate with every imaginable horse effectively. But I think her ability to communicate with humans is what really sets her apart. Plenty of trainers know how to train horses, but it takes a special person with a ton of patience to train a human how to work with their horse healthfully and effectively. Her approach certainly works, my 18 mo old is much more respectful of people now, and my sensitive mare is learning confidence -as am I.EAH has the added bonus of Ben Haney, a master farrier. Ben, like Autumn, goes the extra mile for his clients. He even made a special, custom pair of shoes for my foot-sore gelding that allowed to him to become comfortable and continue growing.Additionally, EAH employs knowledgable, friendly staff who have always taken great care of my horses. The barn also schedules bodywork days with Caitlin Mendoza, and several learning opportunities, including first aid, and Bens hoof dissection clinic.

I lease a horse that is boarded at Eden’s Aspens and I have been taking regular lessons with Autumn, the owner and trainer, for a year now. I honestly could not dream up a better boarding facility or a better horse trainer. The ranch is my happy place and I know it is for others as well. The horses are cared for by Autumn and her staff as if each of the horses are their own. As far as lessons and training are concerned, Autumn is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and patient. If you’re looking for an honest trainer that will help you grow personally and in your horsemanship, she’s the trainer you’re looking for. Autumn truly is a gift to both horses and their humans as she fosters the creation of safe and loving bonds between the two.I very much appreciate that Autumn is passionate about creating and maintaining a safe, comfortable and drama free environment for members of the Eden’s Aspens community. The calm, caring environment is refreshing and allows us all to focus on what is truly important, creating our bond between horses and humans!

I love Autumn and Edens Aspens Horsemanship. I’ve been boarding and taking lessons here for nearly five years and I’ve grown so much as a horsewoman because of them. Autumn has helped my horse and I deepen our relationship and partnership. I feel like my horse is so happy living in a herd on pasture most of the day. Now I know what excellent horse care and horsemanship looks like. Thanks, Autumn!

I have been a client of Autumn Haney for about 5 years and couldn’t be happier to know her and work with her. I have over 30 years of experience at boarding barns and have never experienced a more kind or conscientious barn owner. An added bonus is that she does a wonderful job of keeping the community that boards with her drama free!I found Autumn when my incorrigible thoroughbred needed 6 months of stall rest. Edens Aspens took wonderful care of him and then Autumn helped me rehab him from the injury. She also helped me start a young horse of mine. She is patient with both horse and rider, uses pressure and release methods but also takes both horse and rider’s emotional state into account in a way that truly deepens the relationship between the two. She is a gifted horsewoman and her insight extends to people as well. I would recommend Edens Aspens to anyone lookin to expand their riding skills (beginner or skilled rider) or for a safe home for their equine!

Supporting and friendly atmosphere. A place to be challenged and learn. Autumn, the owner, really cares deeply about each horse, their care and allows them to live in a natural environment. My mare and I have been at Edens Aspens Horsemanship for a year. The relationship between my mare and I grew by leaps and bounds as Autumn taught us how to communicate and deepen our trust. With Autumns instruction and training sessions my mare and I were able to experience beautiful trail rides and spend some time together at liberty. When we first moved to Colorado in February 2018, my mare and I wanted a relationship but couldnt figure out how to cross the bridge to actually BE with one another. Only with Autumns knowledge of the horses and her understanding of horse communication were we finally able to cross that bridge to a relationship of oneness. I am so grateful to Autumn Haney and her care and understanding of the horse community. As much as Autumn cares for the horses within the Edens Aspens community she also cares about the humans. This community is a place of peace, support and lifting up of one another. Autumn is a confident young lady and she stands strong in her belief of providing a safe environment for the horse and their human. I respect that Autumn looks out for the very best interest of her horse and human community.Thank you, Autumn. I look forward to a new journey here at Eden’s Aspens Horsemanship.

I have boarded my horses at EAH and been a client of Autumn’s for over 5 years, and I can’t say enough positive things about my experience!! After all this time, I still see her ranch as the pinnacle of boarding facilities. She treats the horses as they were meant to be treated, with daily turnout (REAL turnout! not in dry lots, but legitimate pastures!), and the horses get to be in a herd environment where they create friendships and learn boundaries from each other. When they’re not in pasture, the horses have continuous access to hay, which is what horses are meant to have to reach ideal health. If anything, my easy keeper mare needs to lose a couple pounds, lol - but she’s happy and chunky! The best part? Autumn does an excellent job of keeping her facility positive, peaceful, and devoid of drama. A very difficult achievement when it comes to boarding facilities! As a trainer, Autumn is very in-tune to the horse and handler’s needs. She teaches horse owners how to form a relationship with their horse that is built on the foundation of mutual respect and appreciation for one another. The liberty work and obstacles give you fun and challenging goals that often blow the minds of horse and riders during the process. After working with Autumn, you’ll find that your horse genuinely seeks their human out for leadership and love, rather than begrudgingly going to work. It is an enjoyable experience for everyone involved! Highly recommended!

While we have only known Autumn for 10 months, I feel like she has been in our lives forever! After rescuing two green horses last year, we found Autumn and have felt at home at EAH ever since! Her passion and love for horses is truly unreal and is seen in her training techniques. We have appreciated her patience, kindness and the effort she has put into not only our horses, but the time she has taken training and teaching us. She is unlike any trainer I have experienced in the sense that not only does she work and train the horses physically, she takes the extra time to work with their emotional and mental states as well. Our two rescued horses have come from some pretty rough backgrounds, and working with the whole horse (mentally, emotionally and physically) it has given us a bond with our horses we could have never imagined. Thanks to her expertise and knowledge, we are able to work with these amazing horses and give them a life they deserve. I would, hands down, recommend Autumn and EAH to anyone (from beginner to skilled rider, I think anyone could learn something from her training). The staff at EAH is very friendly, helpful and just all-around amazing! Our horses are always well-fed, safe, and always well-cared for at EAH. They go the extra mile to make sure all the horses are blanketed when the temperature drops, put fly masks on when it gets warm out, and go above and beyond if a horse becomes ill. If you are looking for an easy-going, relaxing barn for your horses, you’ve found the right place!

I have been a client of Autumn Haney for 8 plus years. I board my horse as well as take lessons from Autumn, and I know that I have the best in both arenas! I agree with the reviews that Brooke, Julie, and Terri have shared. The care of the horses is top notch. I rest easy in knowing that Autumn and her staff are attentive to all of the needs of our herd, and they completely rise to the occasion when extra care is needed. I often see Autumn answering questions and helping with horse care. She is always looking for new ways to support our horses in every way and shares what she has researched with the community. She is a very hands on owner of the business. Many visitors to the ranch comment that our herd is relaxed and playful. The daily turnout, plenty of free choice hay and interactive living as a herd creates happy and healthy horses. The facility is clean and well cared for, and constantly being improved. As a trainer her insight and skill supports both the horse and their human, so that a balanced and trusting partnership develops. The level I have now with my horse is something I have always dreamed of and we would not be there without Autumns guidance. We participate in trail rides, love playing at liberty, and arena work where we work on our form and partnership with dressage. The community that Autumn has created at EAH is wonderful! Autumn holds an energy in support of each persons journey with their horses. She guides each of us in our growing edge with compassion and skill. However drama is not tolerated, and if it escalates she has clear boundaries that hold the safe place we all love to be in.I heartily recommend Edens Aspens to anyone who is truly looking to grow into a heartwarming and fulfilling partnership with their horses!Diane C.

No one wants their business and livelihood threatened by an unfavorable review. My account of what happened at EAS has cost me much. It almost cost my horses lives. I believe there is a disturbing dynamic going on over there. But it is worth it to stand up and tell the truth when everyone seems to want to cover it up. I am going to tell the facts. You decide. Autumn, her mother and friends have tried to assassinate my character on social media and other places for telling the truth. I have been attacked…and I will always stand up for the truth. I won’t beintimidated by bullies.Autumn did not act ethically, or keep her promises. My horses and others got thin. Some suffered and she didn’t fix it. Now that my horses are in a safe environment, I feed them normally. I never understood how my horses could lose weight if they were getting so much to eat there. It made no sense. I had been suspicious for a time, but never thought the worst until I started paying close attention. I questioned myself many times, never wanting to see what was right in front of me. They have both gained over 50 lbs each since leaving there a month ago. I should show before and after pics, but they would be disturbing. And if you think this is just sour grapes, best not read on. But if you choose to, you will get an accurate account of what happened to me.My boarding agreement was not honored and to cite the many legal details would go over the word limit for a review. Then in Dec.2018 the worst happened. More horses arrived at the already over full facility. She appeared to not practice adequate pre-vetting or quarantine of new horses.STRANGLES SWEPT THE HERD! Strangles is a potentially fatal form of equine strep that causes high fever, and abscesses usually under the jaw. It is highly contagious. Autumn decided to take the temps of all horses and give oral syringe medication. She did not ask my permission. That wasnt so bad, but when I questioned her as to whether she was sterilizing the equipment between horses, she said (loosely quoted), NAH, they all probably have the same thing whatever it is. Common sense dictates that she probably infected more horses by her poor husbandry. Both my horses and others became very ill. She did harm. She is young and full of herself and inexperienced. At first it was kind of cute and endearing. Once I got a clear picture...not cute...scary!Many horses got very ill. 2 horses were euthanized during that time.Autumn got angry and without provocation told me to vacate. Id just paid my board. All $1,000 of my money was NOT RETURNED. She refused any explanation. They were still a potential threat for spreading strangles. Some horses were still really sick. It was WRONG on so many levels. Ethically, morally, maybe legally? She got angrier and more irrational when I asked her to compromise. She gave me 2 hours to vacate! 2 HOURS! She threatened to move my things, horses and trailer without my permission. She told me to take my horses to a rescue or the fairgrounds. She did not care who got hurt or infected. (I have written proof). I called the Boulder County sheriff for assistance. They told me, OH Autumn.. yes, we know about her. We have had dealings with her in the past. This isnt our first rodeo with her They stood by while I moved. I do not take pleasure in writing this. In fact it pains me as a human to do it. I also witnessed (and I have photos), that horses were being brought from Colorado Horse Rescue and other places for training when strangles was still in infectious stage and on the property. Something about that just isn’t right. Makes me lose faith in humanity a bit…and even if you read this and say, “Well, the 2 women just got off on the wrong foot. Some people just don’t get along.” I’d say OK, …but this is about the welfare of the horses. Not a human squabble. There are many good horse facilities out there...choose wisely.
