Nice, professional job. The team arrived early and worked almost 11 hours on a hot day. They have all the right equipment to lift trees at a distance, and did a great job with cleanup. We were on the waiting list for several months, but it was worth the wait.

I would highly recommend Tree 413 to anyone especially those who have extremely large trees in difficult locations. I have lived in Springfields Historic Forest Park for almost 20 years. Best value for my dollar by far to date. Joe and his crew removed two enormous trees along with three other large trees from my property in just one day. He did send a crew the following day for some fine tuning clean up. This in itself blew me away because I never see that kind of attention to detail anymore with contractors. We needed trees removed from our property as they were very close to our house, and in questionable shape!! Joe, the owner, was very helpful in pointing out any problem areas. They took down the trees and did trimming of a huge oak that was hanging over the roof area. He used a crane that could handle removal of large trees and branches . I needed 8 trees removed from my back yard, and one from my front yard. I made a map, and I tied red twine around the trees. One company gave a quote of $3500. Joe at Tree 413 looked at the trees I wanted removed and then kept pointing out additional trees that needed to be removed (in his opinion). I asked for a quote for the original trees as well as a second quote for the additional other trees that he suggested. He agreed.The Tree 413 quote came back at almost $8,000 and was listed very vaguely as “13 trees from back”. He never gave the second quote. I had him come back and defined the additional three trees that I wanted removed and tied green twine on those. I made another map with color coding of all the 11 trees I wanted cut, plus the one from the front. The new quote came back with “13 trees from back” at $5,400. Unfortunately, I went with Tree 413.In their defense they cut down about 15 trees, however several were cut for their ease and not for my need. In other words, they cut down trees that I DID NOT want cut. Additionally, they DID NOT CUT one large tree that I did want cut, that was marked with green twine and clearly shown on the map. As I paid Joe (perhaps I shouldn’t have), I said that my map clearly shows a tree to be taken out, that was not cut. Joe then said, “You just drew up that map”. He accused me of lying. So, buyer beware. I thought I was doing due diligence, marking the trees, getting Joe out again to make sure I was clear in what exactly was to be done. However, his quote was unclear and his business practice shoddy. Even accusing me of lying. I will not be using Tree 413 again.

I had two previous quotes from smaller companies. I got the quote from Joe @ Tree413 and was impressed. Please be aware of who you truly have on your property. Bring in true professionals that are properly insured. My tree was in between two houses roughly 20’ on both sides. One crane and two workers = no problem for them. Cleaned up after. (Stump grinding is not done through Tree413 but a different professional). Would definitely use them again.

Had 7 trees I wanted gone so I got a few quotes but I had my heart set on Tree413 because I saw them doing a rather large job on Wilbraham Rd. and I would see there sign Tree413 out on the curb as I drove home from work and I would say to myself they must be good to take on such a big job. So I called and got an appointment for a quote Joe came over and in a matter of days I received my quote it was alittle over what I had budgeted for job so I asked if they could work with me and they did come down some which is a sign of an honest compationet company. It is amazing how many women supposedly have personal issues with the owner- clearly an unprofessional CREEP. He actually removed, or should i say partially removed a tree stump from my property. Terrible job as he said himself, the area can barely be mowed. He has been coming to the property for the past seven years, so I can assure you he is aware of the location.

We recently bought a house, and hired Tree413, to remove several decades of overgrowth, from the yard. The backyard was obscured by a 20 x 20 hedge of old Hemlocks, shrubs, and vines. They also removed a 50 dead Larch tree. Joe and his team worked tirelessly, despite the hot weather. Joe was available and accommodating, as we asked him to add additional items to his tasks. The yard was left cleared of root systems, and stumps were ground down, to below the surface. Joe and his team did an outstanding job, at a fair price, in record time. Highly recommended!

There were 2 experiences. The owner quickly responded to a request for a quote. The quote was good and the contract was signed. Then....not much. It was hard to get through. BUT I got a call from the new front office apologizing and saying that changes had been made in the office staff. After that, everything went as planned. The workers came with machinery that is too huge to describe and took down 14 large pine trees. I would use them again.

I recently hired Tree 413 to do some work, under no circumstance would I ever hire this company again. My conclusion is based on my opinion of their work quality, failure to comply with the contract, and professionalism.Work QualityPrior to Tree413 starting the contracted work, I contacted them regarding my fence posts. I wanted to make sure the fence posts would not be damaged during the work. Tree413s office guaranteed that I was in good hands. While completing the work, they broke every post but one. Furthermore, my yard suffered significant damages. Contractors using equipment on grass sometimes lay down plywood to preserve the grass, neither this nor anything else, based on my observations, was done to preserve the grass, which was left in poor shape by their equipment.Failure to Comply with ContractTree 413 failed to comply with the contract. Prior to completing the agreed upon work, their office informed me that they had finished their work and wanted payment. When I asked them to comply the contract, they asked for more money. I explained to the owner that their misconception of the contractual terms was due to their employees mistake. Although the owner agreed with me, he refused to take responsibility for his employees mistakes and demanded more money to finish the job. Ultimately, I paid someone else to finish the job.ProfessionalismIn my opinion, in addition the issues with work quality and failure to abide by the agreed upon contract, the owner and employees of Tree 413 failed to conduct themselves with professionalism. After refusing to take responsibility for their mistake, they refused to take my calls, hung up on me, or were rude in how they spoke to me. I expect more than this from the professionals I deal with.As an aside at least one of the five star reviews is by one of their employees. I cant help but wonder about the others.So, based on my opinion, I will never hire them again.
