James Hardwood recently installed over 4300 sq/f of hardwood in our home and we couldnt possibly be any happier with the entire experience or give enough praise to James Santos and his crew! After several months of searching and even starting the process with another company that turned out to have misrepresented the installers qualifications as well as the character of two different floors we picked out, I was wary of both the process and hesitant to trust anyone. So the day I spoke to James Santos to get the feeling and, I wasnt expecting much to be honest, after my last contractor, yet ended up being impressed with James. He recognized my hesitation and, instead of being either arrogant or pushy, he was able to get a clear understanding of what we were looking for and to direct us to a few of the best options. He knows his flooring material and finishes and, he knows which manufacturers have better quality, value, and overall customer satisfaction.Cost is important, so he let me break it down as best as I can to help others understand why just comparing per square foot costs among companies/installers can be deceiving. The easy part of the equation is the actual cost of the flooring. This is apples to apples. James cost was competitive and fell within 50 cents higher or lower per square foot of other places yet, I never considered using different people for purchase and installation as the potential headaches dealing with shipping, delivery, defects in material, etc, and arent worth the hassle.

I contacted several floor refinishing companies who were recommended by friends and other contractors to sand and refinish my existing family room pine floor. I designed the room to include flooring that is unique 5x2 inch pine that is actually used as flooring in barns. James was very professional, and knowledgeable my wife asked him many question and he was very sharp and confidente though out the whole project.We have rip up carpet, fixed squeaky, repaired water damage planks and refinished with beautiful Bona Craft Oil.Now i need to call James again for the second phase (upstairs) My wife have been in love with the floors.The maintenance is much easier than our last finished stained floors besides its a green-guard certified and its all we are looking for because our pets.Thank you James

I highly recommend James Santos for his personal and professional manner. James conducts his business with great care, courtesy, and skill.He explained the procedures, the products necessary to achieve my result, and the product content I can feel more comfortable not using something bad for my health.Very patient throughout the project, I really appreciate his time and dedication.Our wood floor was damaged by dog and people traffic. The scratches were unsightly but not deep. James carefully abraded the floor and applied several coats of polyurethane. This process renewed the floor and extended the life of the finish with a minimum of dust and disruption. The floor looks as beautiful as when it was installed 20 years ago.

We needed to refinish a 1.5 inch thick Douglas Fur floor. We requested quotes from 3 contractors. James was not the least expensive, nor was he significantly higher.
