I expected so much more for my money than what I received. Front desk was less hospitable then the last Motel 6. I had reserved a room overlooking the harbor and was told that they gave my room away! I was placed in a room that overlooked the alley and then a parking structure! It was noisy all night long. Needless to say I won’t be staying there again nor can I recommend it to anyone because I could have spent 5 days in the Motel 6 for the amount it cost me to spend one miserable night in this place!

I think this is the best Marriott hotel in the long beach. When you go to long beach, you must stay there. I just have the Marriott gold member, and I told them I was doing the Platinum elite challenge. Therefore, they help me to upgrade the room to jr. corner suite. Its really great room I havent stayed before. Its really big. Its 707 dollars per night. However, due to the pandemic, some facilities is closed. The only thing opening is swimming pools.

Nice clean hotel. Staff were very polite. Only issue was the stairs we had to carry our luggage up and down stairs after the parking elevators.

I can not speak highly enough about the staff and the people who work at this hotel. They are kind and sympathetic and have gone above and beyond to make our experience feel special. They did things like bring us a complimentary charcuterie board because they knew it was our honeymoon. I’m just absolutely blown away by how wonderful they are.

They charged for a meal that was supposed to be included in my package. The pool was way too crowded the whole time I stayed. The breakfast part of it was cold asked for new and then waitress brought back all the food on one plate which seemed that they just stuck it in the microwave. The hotel itself was nice but the food service was unacceptable

I have no complaints, we had an awesome experience here. The whole facility was very clean and comfortable and the view was just amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nearby shopping, plenty to see. Took a walk to Cuppa Cuppa down the street (Im big on visiting local coffee shops), there are nearby shared scooters and bikes, which are super fun btw.I fell in love with this place, we will definitely be staying here again.

This place was really clean and nice. The beds and pillows were also surprisingly soft and not what I expected from a hotel. Overall had a good stay. Didnt get a chance to look around the hotel for any other things they offer but it looked pretty high class for the price.

Horrible experience that I had with this hotel... This hotel charged me $1700 US dollars for international phone calls (MX), this is definitely unfair as this was never advertised... I wouldnt recommend staying here... Hotel is very expensive for basic services and basic amenities. And plus you get robotic attitudes and absolutely no human connection. I would say go to the Hilton instead. Complain will be filed with the Better business bureau for this scam.

The house keeping does a wonderful job 👏the front desk customer service very professional, the manager in the restaurant is horrible very poor attitude,he seemingly does not being the service industry. Furthermore, what is more complex is they have 12 floors, one microwave, and no washer and dryer for those that stay long term. That is bewildering. However, its a decent stay hotel 🏨

Stayed at the Renaissance for Valentines day . Hotel was very clean staff were polite and attentive. Stayed on the 10th floor with a Balcony the view was amazing. Rooms are sound proof and they have a convenient elevator that takes you straight into the hotel from their parking structure. Even with their hotel being seemingly full we werent disturbed by any noise from other guests. I would recommend this location highly to anyone needing sleeping arrangements in downtown Long Beach. I plan to pay a return visit.Thank you to The Renaissance and their staff for helping me have an amazing night.

I booked 2 days thought Expedia on this hotel. Nice hotel, good location but watch out when they email you the bill.They charged AGAIN my credit card for 2 nights. So I paid over 500 dlls with expedia and another over 500 dlls the hotel charged my credit card. I keep calling and they seem to be at lunch all the time. I need someone from billing to call me and return my money back to my credit card. This is ridiculous. Sonia Watterson

Positive: Wonderful location. The rooms were clean and parking was convenient. Negative: Upon check in I was charged $35 for parking and $100 for a pet. I have a licensed and registered service animal which I declared at check in. Its illegal for them to charge a fee. I was not made aware of either of these charges.

First wouldn’t let me check In finally after some back & forth I was able to check in. When I got To my room nothing what it looks like in the picture super small rooms & too top it all off I dried off with a peiod stained towel do yourself the favor and look somewhere else too stay. Hotel didn’t care at all.

Positive: Check and check out were seamless with courteous employees. Negative: Walking in and out of the hotel you get a sense that the area is not very safe. Right to the side of the hotel there was about 5 tents of homeless people. Its not a deal breaker but it would be nice to know for future families visiting the area.

We planned on staying for 5 days. Ended up leaving early based on spider bites. It was so bad it made us sick. The room had no indication of any insects. We didnt realize it was from the private balcony. We only used the balcony in the evenings so we could not see the many webs and filthy floor. When we wrote management they said that the PRIVATE balcony is an outdoor issue and refused to work with us. How is that? 1. The room was actually called a balcony room and we were CHARGED for the balcony. 2. The private balcony is on the 9th floor the only access is from the our room. 3. The balcony had furniture! Come on. I have attached pictures.

My fiancee and I stayed here for one night and it was a wonderful experience. The parking was very convenient, and the rooms were spotless. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Due to covid their room service was limited but they did provide a list of everything open around them and if they where dine-in or just carry out. The pool was clean and warm, and the room was very comfortable. We definitely will be staying again in the future.

Wonderful experience. We will definitely be back! Th staff were so friendly, courteous and personable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. Hotel is in a great location! Everything you need within walking distance. My only issue is that parking was $30 and I can’t find that anywhere on the hotels site. I wish I would have known that because I would have turned my rental car in before closing time to save myself the parking fee. Though that small issue isn’t enough to warrant anything less than 5 stars from this hotel! If you can, stay here. You won’t regret it!This has nothing to do with the hotel- there are a lot of panhandlers around the area asking for spare change so be aware of that.

Horrible customer service. Was give 1 room that smelled like smoke. The given another room that smelled stale and musty with wet carpet, then given another room with wet carpets was argued with stating the floors were checked. Had to seek another room somewhere else....Dont stay here

The room itself was great. We got a larger room with a king bed and it was very large. The bathroom was very large also, but no separate water closet. The bed was very very comfortable. The room was very clean.However there were issues with a lot of the ancillary items. The plug on the floor lamp was broken, so it did not work. The air conditioning did not work, so an engineer had to fix it. The ice machine did not work for three of the four days we were there. The TV kept dropping its internet connection, and signing us out of online services. The pool was cold and a little debris. The front desk offered to send up a coffee maker, and then didnt. When I asked the next morning it was sent up right away.

Came down to Long Beach to watch a college softball tournament and ended up staying at this hotel. Great location which was close to the convention center, mall and the city walk which was full of a variety of food locations. All within walking distance. Staff was friendly, room was very clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again when back in town.

Rooms were good even though we stayed during quarantine and all the amenities were unavailable. This is more a business hotel since theres only a small fridge and just enough space for a person in a room. Would have liked a microwave somewhere at least for some hot food. They did have dinner reasonable dinner options at least, but they did try to accommodate as much as possible

This hotel is definitely a 10! The room was beautiful, the view breathtaking, and the staff was helpful and kind. There were many amenities, including a bar, dining, Starbucks, pool, spa and firepit. The glass elevator was a nice touch as well. It was within easy walking distance from the Long Beach Pike, and across the street from the Convention Center. It was a little bit longer of a walk from the Aquarium of the Pacific and Seaside Village, but certainly doable if you like to walk. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
