I found some coupon online to try out Planet Fitness for free. I showed up at 2 am on a Saturday morning because Im a night owl.The 2 guys at the front welcomed me in. I showed them my email that had a barcode and said I wanted to check the place out. Im glad they let me in as if I was a regular guest as I was afraid I would have to take a tour and be talked into a membership... but they let me on and right away I was on my own!This place is huge! Being there at 2 am, I pretty much had the pla e to myself. There may have been 5 other people in there, but at least 100 machines!This facility is extremely clean.The music is played pretty loud though.I tired out at least 10 different workout machines and they were all great.There are signs that say no gym bags on floor so I wish they had hooks on the walls or else you have to creatively hook your bag to the nearest machine...or leave it on the floor(?)I got to try the hydro-massage bed and wow! That in itself, is what makes me want a membership. It was that impressive. It is the best thing about this gym.

The staff are friendly. Place is clean. Everyone is minding their business. I had relocated from another state and come to find out I couldn’t change my location because it did not exceed to the 90 days. So I had upgraded to black card just so I use the gym and to avoid starting the process over and having to pay the fees.

New Manager, Jose, went out of his way to help me out. Went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Gym was always clean and staff friendly.

I’ve grown to love this gym, so I’m updating my review. Out of all locations I’ve been to, this location is more convenient and parking is better compared to the other locations. Bellflower is the worst one I’ve been too, potholes in parking lot plus barely any parking.Staff at this location seems much better.I dropped one of my air pods into the equipment and one of the members managed to help me get it back (: from what I’ve seen, it seems common that people drop their earbuds in the equipment because they were multiple ones inside luckily I got mines back. So I would recommend you to use wired headphones if you don’t want to lose a side of your earbuds.Would have rated 5 but I feel like some staff needs some work. For a gym it’s good to be around motivating members. The energy is not as equal compared to Chick-fil-A lol

This place is nice and clean. The staff has been really friendly. Most people just keep to themselves and it doesnt have that meat market vibe.The only thing that I wish was different is their TV channels that they got on. They lack TBS and got Fox news, CNN, and fox business taking up half of the Tvs in the entire gym. I am not into watching all that drama when Im trying to unwind from my day. They also got travel which has the same lame ghost show on.No ESPN or local channels for sports.Because of the poor selection of entertainment to choose from, I always got to put something on my phone and drain my battery.

I usually go at night and the gym is mostly fine. The problem is the members mostly. We have some meatheads at least every other day slamming weights and not using masks. Theres this one guy specifically who comes in almost everyday after 10pm who is always working out in jeans and he really brought a knife to work out with him.

I love Planet Fitness! I love that everyone is focusing on themselves(for once) and there is no judgement! I don’t feel embarrassed to work out to the fullest and I love to see people giving it their all. I begged my husband to join me and stop going to 24hr fitness; he finally did and loves it! He will be joining me from now on and it saves us on memberships costs, since he can just come with me as my guest. If you want to work out but don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, Come here!

I visited from out of state, staff was friendly and helpful. The property is nice but it was kind of a hassle to check in to use the tanning rooms, plus the screens display your name and member number which infringes on my privacy if someone is behind me (i.e. stalkers & creepers) Once in the room the stand-up bed had not been cleaned at all, there was body & hand marks all inside the unit which is very gross to me (in a pandemic), I had to wipe it down myself before and wiped it down again after, which is what people are supposed to do to be courteous to the next user. The employees claim they do wipe the units down after every use but I stood and watched and nobody went in to clean after me. I would visit again but if my experience is the same, cant say whether I would go back. Employees need to be more proactive with making sure guests, wipe down equipment after use, or do it themselves.

Nice gym. Mine was closed due to the holiday but this one was open. Friendly staff and fairly clean.

Id be weary about their crowd meter as it said low but I went and the gym was quite packed. Also wasnt sure about the masks guideline but it seemed to be whichever youd prefer 🤔. Good sized gym and lots of machines. Pretty clean. Guy at front desk was a little awkward trying to listen to something two other associates were handling while I was trying to ask him questions since it was our first time there.

Nice enough gym but it’s always way too crowded. There should be signs politely asking people to not take too much time on the machines. People spend an hour at the squat racks. Sucks.

I love the gym but super disappointed that I its not possible to transfer my membership within the first 90 days of signing up. I signed up in Fremont and was denied transfer to Long Beach after I was offered a job in LA. I had to cancel because of it. 3 stars for the quality but minus 2 for the lack of flexibility to transfer.

Although we can get a little bit crowded especially right now because of the corona the facility is well kept. They seem to always have paper towels and spray ready. It makes me feel comfortable working out here. The staff is pretty friendly too, I havent needed to ask for their help but they always greet me with a smile at least.

Amazing value, and open 24/7 is huge. Has equipment to cover most workouts. Note you can use the yellow rooms in your membership as well.

The associates that work there are very nice they remember your name the place is clean theres always available machines! I am really enjoying working out at Planet Fitness and you cant beat the price per month!

So far I really like this place. Except I am 100% NOT ok with men being in the womens restroom, in the womens locker room, where women change and shower. Im hoping this was a one time thing or possibly a mistake and not a normal occurrence because that made it EXTREMELY uncomfortable for me and my minor.

The only reason I am giving a five star is because of Jasmine! I was very excited to enter the gym until the lady with short hair and bangs was unapologetically and possibly unintentionally rude, not acknowledging my concern about a customer service issue. My grandma had just passed away and I was very much looking forward to reinstate my membership. After speaking with Jasmine I decided not cancel my membership, she showed genuine concern.Following our conversation I spoke with the assistant manager Juan and he was kind but in a sense doing what all managers do giving the customer the pickle. Which I understand and is rightfully important but what I truly needed and what is right is for all managers to generally care for the customer not just try to shoo them away with a water or a drink. I truly was appreciative of Jasmines customer service because of her I still have my membership and Juan being exceptional in quickly addressing my concern I continued my service.

This gym is nice, equipment is well maintained and clean. However, there mask policy is nonexistent. Thats the only reason for 1 star.

Sunday April 18 9:20 am I entered the PF on Ximeno. I got I to my routine and went to use a hip/thigh machine. Got on it and a woman said were using it which she clearly was NOT. . I asked staff to assists and they just didnt care. Left gym at 89:45.

First time in the gym since the pandemic . First time at this facility too. Its big, no social distancing or face masks required.

The facility and staff is awesome. Only 1 complaint... super uncomfortable and annoying when your security guard takes his breaks inside the 30 min. Work out room while sitting on the machines talking on the phone and staring at you work out . . . No Break room?

Amazing social distancing practices and cleanliness!

Beware deceptive billing practices!I canceled my membership during the pandemic but was just billed (one year later). When I called to inquire, the franchise owner said he had no control over that and that I would have to speak with member services.When I asked for the number to member services he told me he didnt have access to that information and that I would have to contact them directly. NOT COOL &NOT TRUTHFUL. He expects me to believe he is a franchise owner but has no contact information for billing? Yeah right!Luckily I have the confirmation letter from last year when I cancelled so I responded to that email and will await a response.Its like the Hotel California... you can check out but you can never leave.SCAM billing practices and dishonest franchise owner!UPDATE: They responded wanting to know more but I already spent time on the phone with them and they offered ZERO help which is why I left the review. Their kind response is not genuine and they know it. They did not offer me the email when I called but only now to try to look helpful.

We had a bad Covid-19 three minutes, frozen membership etc.,. until I started asking questions 🤔 and eventually I felt heard, results were solution based. Awesome 👍

They just opened up a planet fitness in north Long Beach and it was clean, the staff was courteous, enough social distance with the workout equipment, not a lot of people which is fine due to the social distancing.

I’m a ex-competitive athlete... converted to normal life of a mom trying to get back into shape. Planet Fitness has such a positive upbeat environment with friendly staff that are genuinely interested in helping. The members of this gym are low key, & I never have to wait for availability of equipment..

Theyre a little lenient on some of the 30 minute workout areas which is nice, as I like to stay on some of those machines for a long time so long as no one is waiting and the area is pretty empty with occupants.-Hot showers

Ive signed up with you guys 5 months ago before all this pandemic happened. Very upset because I couldnt keep up my weight training, as you guys kept me informed with online workouts very kind of you 🙂 I started back today with your awesome gym and wasnt aware that I had a problem with scanning in because Ive signed up in San Bernadino county was very sad that Ive waited 4 months to get back to training, But one of your Employees was very helpful and awesome to care and help me ( Chase) from your Long Beach facility. Its guys like him that keeps devoted people never want to leave!!

My Home Gym ... Its excellent ! I live close to PCH and this location is way better for me since I live 5 mins away. Staff is excellent . The parking lot is well lit at night . Ive been here at 7pm and theres enough equipment for everyone to use .I prefer to be there after 2am and before 530am . After the slow opening this Im glad to say it was worth the wait.

The Long Beach Planet Fitness location is my favorite one so far! The space is massive, features a wide variety of machines, and has nice helpful staff members. I feel like this location is a hidden gem - even at its busiest its never overwhelming or packed with people. I wish the machines had more features or were more up to date like machines Ive seen at other Planet Fitness locations. Regardless, I would still recommend visiting this location.

Nice and new, but if come here, please only take as many weights as you can carry at a time. Some people take 2 sets of dumbbells, plus a barbell all at once! I respect getting your workout but that kind of behavior is meant for your gym at home, not in public where everyone wants to get a workout. But maybe thats just my opinion.

They are saying NO SHOWERS due to covid, although showers are not prohibited, sounds like management is doing the least they can to clean and sanitize the restrooms, SHAME ON YOUR GUYS!

I love that this gym is new and always clean!! One thing that I love about this gym is that its all one floor, so while Im on one machine its easy to scan if the next machine I want to use is already in use. Parking lot is huge so theres never trouble finding a space. The people at the front are so friendly and already know Im a regular. The staff are always making rounds, putting items back to where they belong, wiping down equipment, cleaning the locker room areas, etc.

Love this gym!! I switched from LA fitness because their memberships are $10 cheaper - way more benefits and better machines for working out your lower body. Friendlier atmosphere

The staff here are awesome. I just started working out here 2 weeks ago. Everyones chill that goes here too, and I noticed people like to keep it clean too which is excellent. the water beds are a nice ending to the workout as well. And like any gym the evenings are the most packed. Hoped this review helps.

Great clean gym. Missing some basic equipment for power workout such as squat space (not machine, regular barbell), not a single bench press. A ton of machines that cover all aspects of workout, but basic equipment is missing. But hey for $10 month I cant complain

I love the simplicity of the gyms set-up, the circuit room, the low monthly fee, the availability of the staff to help me with the machines, the friendliness of the staff, and the constant reminders that Planet Fitness is a judgment-free company. The kind and positive attitude of the staff is probably the best part for me; I never expected to get so much friendly encouragement at 58 years old.

They get Dominos Pizza for pizza day which was a cool surprise for me when I went on pizza day without realizing it was pizza day.My only problem with this location is that the hydromassage bed is only for 5 minutes. My previous home gym was 10 minutes. Yes you can go and request another session but that kills the point of it being a relaxation time if you have to get up and set it up again. I can see why it is 5 minutes though but still. So until then 4 stars. Okay mini rant over.Overall though great gym for a great price at a good location.

Barely opened so it’s very clean and equipment is brand new. Hopefully it stays well maintained. From what I can tell the staff is friendly. I live in Long Beach and would usually have to go to the location in South Gate or Hawaiian gardens, I’m so glad that there’s one finally over here! I will definitely be coming here for my usual workout

Ive been to 3 different gyms but Planet Fitness has been my Favorite. They truely mean what they say and advertise! My workouts are always great, even if I go in pushing myself and NOT wanting to workout, leaving their after my workouts I feel amazing than once I got in. Their employees are so helpful and nice. Always positive attitudes. Their facilities are always clean. Want to get a great workout without the waiting or rude people PLANET FITNESS is truely the place for that!!
