Just moved in. Everything has been great so far. Staff is very helpful and location is amazing
We just moved in about 5 day ago. We rented this unit sight unseen, and it is even better than the pictures and details we were given. Alex, Sunny and the rest of the staff we have encountered were/are really helpful! This building has great amenities and everything is run very efficiently. They were kind enough to put packages in our unit before we arrived. The Luxe package system works amazingly well. Needless to say, we are extremely excited to live here.
If you want the feeling of Community, move into 1900 Ocean Beach Club! I became a 1900 resident over a year ago and it still continues to amaze me every single day. I moved here without knowing anyone in the building but that quickly changed. I have made so many friends that live in the building through the fun events that the staff holds for us (like mimosas and yoga on the beach). We have all been able to hangout together in the incredible new upgraded amenities throughout the pandemic like the second level outdoor area, the isle, pool and game room. There are the occasional complainers who like it nice and quiet (not sure why you moved into somewhere called BEACH CLUB), but the staff has done a great job of making sure everyone stays happy during these odd times like implementing 9pm closures of the amenities.Speaking of the staff, EVERYONE gets to know you and is so incredibly helpful. Brian, Sunny, Tommy, Alex, Kelsea, Richie, Jaime, and anyone else I missed, you all make living here so easy. I can go down at anytime of the day with an issue or just to talk and they all happily greet me and my doggo, Kona.Between the amenities, staff, location, and price for living ON the beach, I dare you to try and find something better. Thank you 1900 fam!!
1900 Ocean Beach Club is the best apartment complex Ive ever rented in! This place has been a dream come true. The amenities are absolutely amazing, the people who work here are genuinely kind people, and the value is unbeatable. There were several other apartments that I toured in the area, and none of them were comparable to 1900 Ocean. Living here has legitimately improved the quality of my life, and I couldnt be more thankful!
I loved living here! My unit was newly remodeled and beautiful! It’s a great location. However it was very noisy and extremely overpriced... luxury is advertised but that is not what is received, things like dog pee all over the stair case and constant elevator issues shouldn’t be a problem in a luxury apartment charging 3 grand for their smallest unit! They are still making improvements, but throughout my stay the gym, pool and hot tub was closed most of the time, either from Covid, or from constant renovations that didn’t even quite make sense! So basically the best part was the slight ocean view... Ultimately this is a lovely place to live and I’d like to think under different circumstances I may have had a better experience there. 10 out of 10 on the staff however, they are all very kind and the community feeling there is wonderful!
10/06/2020 🙄😒Years ago resided at 1900 Ocean Blvd., Long 🌴, Ca which was very lovely place. Now rent is up beyond believes - paying rent for the sight of the Ocean and last pay rent for roof over your head? Wow! 😒
Being in the market for an apartment is a tough gig. The dream is to find a place to make your own, and at the same time have a sense of community, worry free. 1900 Ocean Beach Club puts it all together with a dazzling effect. Modern, great location, with an appreciation for the residents that starts the moment you walk in the door, and Tommy greets you. Moving is stressful, but with leasing agents like Sunny and Alex, you’re sure to succeed in style! If 2020 is the apocalypse, what better way to experience it than with a view of the ocean, and a margarita in hand from The Plunge.Ps..The Plunge is a restaurant collocated on the 2nd floor, and is fantastic!
Staff is great! Always ready to help with anything at the drop of a hat. All the leasing agents went way out of their way to help me with the logistical issues I encountered while moving in, and I couldnt be more grateful. The best part of living here is Vin the security guard, he is the best guy ever and made me feel at home as soon as I moved in by helping me with everything I needed! He is always there to help you with anything you need no matter how big or small your problem is.Ive learned looking at apartment pictures online can really only give you half the story. A nice view and amenities are great but the actions of staff can make or break your experience renting from larger buildings, and thats exactly why this place gets 5 stars. But dont get me wrong the views and amenities are amazing, really happy to wake up here every day.
The best place i could have lived in. its expensive but its next to the beach with gorgeous view and the sound of sea waves act as a tranquilizer....the staff is super amazing. best i have come across.
I wanna thank the staff at 1900 Ocean Blvd for the wonderful service and amazing personalities! Especially I want to thank Josh and Alex who went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable in the apt. Highly recommend!!
Coming home is like going on vacation! I cant say enough about the wonderful experience living at 1900. The staff is amazing and the grounds are well kept. This is my first place since moving to Long Beach and Ive never regretted my decision to move here. I just extended my lease and will look forward to another year in the Ocean Club!
1900 Ocean is a wonderful community. I never want to leave. The grounds are kept in spectacular condition, they have a ton of amenities, and the tenants and staff are awesome. Richie, Jamie, and Tara are wonderful employees- they always go above and beyond to help out.
This review is long overdue! When my husband and I decided to relocate to So-Cal to be closer to our son, we searched for over 1 year many different places to live. We toured 1900 Ocean 3 times before we decided to make this our home and we couldnt be happier. We have been extremely impressed by Josh and his team. Any maintenance issue has been resolved quickly and professionally. Everyone is extremely friendly, welcoming and accommodating! Regarding the previous reviews of the elevators, the building was built in the 1940s (or 1950s) when most did not have cars or minimum of one per family. Being in property management over 30 years, it is extremely difficult or impossible to add additional elevators to an eighteen story building. The renovations of the lobby and elevators have been communicated in advance so we are able to prepare if we need to allow more time in our schedule. Any guest that visits us their first response is jaw dropping and comment how we live in a First Class Resort :) We agree!
Absolutely the best place I have EVER lived!!! Dont even know where to start. Beautiful friendly ladies at the front desk, professional and polite doormen, and all the staff from maintenance to management are top notch. They have so many random activities such as parties, free all you can drink beer, free food and more. Doesnt get any better than laying out by the pool over looking the ocean and being served cold complementary beverages on a hot day. Lastly there is a restaurant inside the building with delicious food and free delivery. I definitely recommend this place if youre looking for a friendly and welcoming community!!(:
Its typical California. Beautiful beach and people of all walks of life, cultures and backgrounds enjoying their surrounds and each other.
I was looking for an apartment on Ocean Blvd so stopped in at the 1900 building. Yvette showed me several units. I particularly liked the plan 12. But when I started doing comparative shopping, I found that 1900 was way, way overpriced. When I checked out the company that owned the complex, Lyon Communities, in Newport Beach I quickly realized that their sole interest was maximizing their profit at all costs. Check their corporate brochure and you will see what I mean. Over and over they talk about maximizing their ROI (return on investment). As I looked further, all the comps for similar properties were 30 to 50% less than 1900. It seems to me 1900 owners sole concern is to gouge their customers. Dont look here for a firm that puts customers first!Their motto is whatever the market will bear. WARNING renter BEWARE! When will American business wake up?1900 has over a 20% vacancy, it seems the customers are waking up to the predatory practice of at all costs exploit the customer.Look what happened to Detroit. They didnt care about the customers. They even built cars that were unsafe at any speed. The customer stopped buying their shoddy cars and they went broke. These posts should be a wake up call for Lyon Communities.
I havent lived here for many years, but I cant help to question a lot of the 5-star reviews, unless Lyon Management actually decided to adapt to the times and fix serious issues such as installing central air. As one Yelper said years ago...welcome to the worlds tallest oven. This was only a temporary place until I bought my property in Irvine, but either way, the excessive heat was a serious issue. There were single pane windows with the sun beating directly on them all day, magnifying the heat. With no central air, I had to continuously use a portable AC I purchased at Home Depot. It was on all day in the main area, then I would roll it into the bedroom at night. I liked the layout of my unit. It was a perfect size and layout...easy to place furniture. A lot of my furniture was in storage during the two years I lived here, but the furniture I brought fit perfectly. The view was great and I loved seeing the fireworks at Disneyland in the distance. I never had an issue with noise. I felt the walls were thick enough and thankfully, the floors were all concrete...that makes a big difference. Another really disgusting issue from when I resided here was the zero choices of internet and cable. We were stuck with Verizon DSL and there were no speeds available higher than 3 mbps! Im not kidding! I recently visited some friends that reside here now....its really sad what they did with the second floor lounge....it looks and feels like a school cafeteria! It used to be so pretty!!! Oh well. Some of the staff back then were very cool. The general manager Kim was always accommodating...and one of the reasons I stayed longer before purchasing a house. I have to say though, the views were always great!
Great staff Awesome amenities!!
My family and I are very happy at 1900 Ocean, our view is amazing, the park is really close and the fact that our beach is our backyard is the best part. Staff is very friendly and helpful and I like the fact that the building is always clean. I would of give them a 5 stars if it wasnt because they used the worst company ever consolidated smart systems as the ONLY resource to get internet and satellite service. That company is horrible and now we are stuck watching only local channels because we were not able to transfer our service to this location. This is the only bad review for for this building, if we pay for our rent and bills, I think we are entitled to use ANY company we want for our TV and internet service.
One of the greatest buildings in Long Beach,CA. Lobby has concierge and deli. Workout room is at the beach side at sand level.Cherry park is just ajacent from this location, which has on every Tuesday and Thursday a farmers market and live music also its main attraction a simple skatepark.
Moved in July and so far has been great, lobby is nice, staff friendly, concierge is helpful, elevators work, workout/pool/hottub a great touch, and right on the beach with rental bikes available. Also amazing view, so far has been perfect!
My wife and I lived in the penthouse for a year...this place is hell. Lets just start by saying this building is from the 50s with very little maintenance outside off some flooring and paint. The management is absolutely horrible. Elevators break weekly, dog piss smell throughout the building. Weed smoke smell everywhere in this building. Our neighbors all smoked and the stink came through all our vents. We complained countless times to no avail. The parking is horrible and very very unsafe. This property has no cameras and there have been toooooo many break ins to cars to count. If you want to live in an absolute dump paying luxury apartment fees this is the place for you! Be advised the staff cares less about you than the roach epidemic and flee epidemic in the building...ooops forgot to mention the asbestos.
This apartment community is NOT what they make it out to be whatsoever. Deli does not exist although prominently advertised. They attempt to charge residents $2/day on top of rent for a parking spot. The community is so poorly managed that the closest thing ive seen to someone being held accountable to the building rules is a sign on the door. My hallway has reeked of drugs from the moment i moved in, and the rent is inconsistent and reallly only takes into account how much they can sucker you into. The better relationship you have with the low quality door men, the more access you AND your guests have to do whatever you like regardless of community rules. I would NEVER ever renew my lease here and I feel sorry for anyone else who moved here expecting a beautiful building and community like myself to experience life by the beach. The best part of this building is the maintenace staff does a great and timely job, which is great because the plumbing is awful, the elevators (only 3 in a nineteen story building) are always broken, reserved, or incredibly unavailable. Kudos to maintenance.I regret ever living here. Zero exaggerations, shop the area before settling in this Beach Club which by the way it is not at all.
I am writing this review because I am not content in how you could pay this much money to live in such a bad constructed building. There is no insolation which means you could hear your neighbors having a normal conversation, arguing, watching t.v., or even having sex! It truly has become a big nightmare living here this past months and I cant wait to finish the lease and move on to a better quieter place. No disrespect to the staff but all they really care about is filling up the units instead of reaching out their tenants about the problems they have with their units. They should demolish this property and rebuilt it with better material because it is not fair what people are paying to live in this place. The complex is located in a wonderful area but trust me there is better units around the area as well. If you are about to lease first do your research about the place because the money that you will be spending on this units will not be worth it.
Absolutely the worst property in Long Beach. They claim this is a luxury complex. Came to view the property, parking is awful, the lobby looks like a hospital, the units are so over priced, staff is beyond unprofessional, they just had a massive water leak that knocked out all phone and internet lines, the place is filled with asbestos, multiple people have gotten stuck in their elevators...Stay away
1900 OCEAN IS AN OLD BUILDING BROKEN DOWN WITH HUGE LIVING PROBLEMS COVERED WITH GRANITE AND A FANCY COMMON AREA! Also, the Ocean View will trick you (rent a condo down the street that is new without these problems and it will cost less - these units are tiny and priced $400-$500 more than the condos on SAND of Ocean Blvd - do some research find a Realtor, get away from this PIG) and so will the office staff. This is a terrible building to live in!! Old building with no sound insulation and the neighbors blast their music 24/7 and loud arguments (ones that sound violent and scary as in should I call the police) - they let trash live in the apartments, esp the studios that surround all the normal rent paying units. Management does nothing to keep the noise down. A few people with questionable means of income also live in this building in the ocean front units and penthouses, they throw loud parties on weeknights even ... management does nothing because they are in the +$3,000 units (why would management care about a peasant like the average working person who only spends $2,000/month? If you want to ever get any sleep, this is not the place for you.Next there is the cigarette and pot smoke. Again the building is old, smoke leaks in from units above, below, next to you, across the hall - your unit will be filled with smoke no matter where you live. Every resident knows this. They redid the facade of this building - but their is cross flow from smoke that comes in through the recessed lighting even. Smoke travels from the vents in the bathroom across halls. Everyone has smoke in their units - ask anyone on the elevators and they will tell you there is no way to block the smoke from coming in.The Elevators! only 2 go down to the parking levels. One of the 2 that goes down is shut between 8pm - 8am everyday because it is too close to the unit next to it on each floor. So that leaves 1 elevator for this entire building for 1/2 of the day (including the morning when those that work are trying to get to work are stuck in an elevator traffic jam). There are no stairs from the 1st floor to the parking below (making the 3rd elevator useless if you live here - if you live here your car will be in its parking spot in the ground levels where only 1 ONE elevator serves the ENTIRE bu idling for 1/2 of the day.Which leads to parking. two bedroom apartment = 1 parking spot. There are NO visitor spots, so dont expect to have a friend or date over ... unless they can find a spot (hard to do) on the street ... and this is a VERY DANGEROUS NEIGHBORHOOD!This building attracts people from out of town who do not know better. If you want to live on the ocean in Long Beach contact a Realtor and rent one of the nice new condos down the street - they are cheaper and much larger than these over priced, loud dumps that people relocating to the area think is there only option to live on the Sand. Go to the Pacific or the Ocean Club (the huge beautiful white tower) and there are always opens for hundreds less in those buildings that are new and real lux - not just LIPSTICK on a PIG - 1900 is LIPSTICK ON A PIG. How I wish someone had written a review like this for me to read before I signed a lease here. Do not rent here. Living nightmare of NOISE, SMOKE, WAITING FOR ELEVATORS, OVERPRICED TINY UNITS, with NO PARKING!When my lease is out I am out of this NIGHTMARE of 1900 Ocean!!!
Good times while I lived there... old building, but with character ...
You are in Long Beach CA but in the third world, very dense, with a heavy touch of poverty.
Awesome place!!!! Cool place to live for sure!!
Very excellent
