The fill in postal person Carina who was in a rush decided to drop a $100 prescription (glass container) from full height on to the ground instead of placing it in my mailbox. When confronted, even with a video, she decided to lie about the incident and become rude. When I told her she was unprofessional and called her an impolite name, which granted was rude but not the end of the world for a public servant, she proceeded to become even more hostile including proclaiming to my wife about me calling her a name. When she found no solace or comfort from my wife, she literally scanned one of our packages as delivered and then did not deliver it, rendering it lost. When I went in to make a complaint and to ask for help, the people behind the desk at the post office especially the lady in charge was very incompetent. Had no physical complaint form and rendered the issue closed as the package said it was delivered.

I’ve called the Lompoc USPS recently and they have picked up every time. The ladies their are very helpful, friendly, and personable. Great job!

Next time your workers damage my packages and leave my mailbox open the Post Office will be sorry I promise you

I come here allllll the time to send out my penpal letters to foreign countries and in country friends and it always gets to them safely; i also get their letters safely too. big shout out to the coolest post office guy, gabriel, for always being nice about having to put different individual labels on my letters!

Unfortunately, my experience with the post office includes both positive and negative experiences. And the negative is whats really concerning! Some of the mail carriers are incompetent, rude, and derelict in their duties, one in particular, a thin woman with long hair - appears to be hispanic - has repeatedly left our mail hanging out of our mailbox and when we say hello or thank you ignores us, puts her nose in the air and hurries away! We have called the office to express our concern, and the supervisor excuses her behavior and keeps saying that a man delivers our mail! Dont they know who is assigned to specific routes?! We are at our wits end, because we are confident not all our mail has been delivered. It seems this mail carrier and possibly other employees have a vendetta against our family, Im not sure why.

My family just moved to the area and we have found this post office in Lompoc to be very helpful and the ladies I’ve talked with are very friendly and personable.

Ridiculous, often time my mail is misplaced, or sent back... Workers definitely need more training..

Is 2020 usps will never change when the main problem are the managers that dont step up to make the mail to be delivered to the destination its set for. They need to fire the managers people need to speak up more, unite, get a lot of signatures so they can fire those people that are dead weight. They need new management and new staff to make the work place run smoothly.

The worst! We always have our items with not full address so our item gets taken back after we put our full address, but when we call no one picks up and call ends . All because no one at post office dont want to take calls to fix the problem! 😡🤬🤬

Shoddy and inadequate services. A letter was mailed and was supposed to be sent right. It’s been a week of waiting and all they can tell us:“ we don’t look for lost letters”. It seems like the mailmen aren’t fully aware of what they are doing. Now I’m hesitant to nail things out through out Own post office.

Fast and friendly service. The gentleman with a Mohawk gave us coloring books and crayons. Its the little things these days.

I ordered a face mask from Amazon. I was informed yesterday that it was delivered to my home address by Amazon went to check my mail box it wasnt there so now Im wondering whos box it went into. Not the first time

Nice post office, good amount of supplies, has an automated postal machine that accepts debit and credit cards. You can print out a label on it and get tracking and more. If you have an oversized box or anything that’s unusually shaped I wouldn’t use the machine, it’s best to wait in line, but it nice to use in hurry or when lines are long.

I try to be considerate of others during this time. There are signs all over the front doors and around this office asking that you where masks to protect others.Imagine my shock to see that the Post Office clerk wasnt wearing gloves or a mask!!!I thought the idea was for people in high risk areas to wear them. Not just as a protection to themselves but there were several elderly people in line. I refused to go to this mans line but I would understand someone who couldnt stand in line long would HAVE to. This is inconsiderate to the customers! Make that man wear a mask and gloves or he can go home.

Ive sent two birthday cards and both arrived without their contents and now I have tracking showing an item delivered to my address, it was not. Now I have to fight with them and the seller of the item I purchased!

Our mail lady Ramona is the sweetest. She always is happy and smiling. She delivers our packages right to our door instead of leaving them at the country road mailbox. Every time we go into the post office to go pick up baby chicks for our farm, everyone is super helpful: especially Stan! Hes always so jovial and a pleasure to see.

The delivery people in this town are complete morons. They regularly deliver my mail to the wrong address. Once I even had somebody from V Street bring me mail, I live on T. Please explain how anybody can be that incompetent at their job?? This time it’s a new mail lady and she put a bunch of peoples personal mail in these ancient boxes on the complex wall that don’t even have keys!! They’re extremely corroded and obviously unused for years. The complex mail box is the average size clear as day unit mail boxes, so I cannot fathom how she missed them unless she wasn’t trained!!!!! Makes me so angry because thanks to her I didn’t receive some important mail I had been waiting for! Oh and to top it all off my neighbor told me they witnessed her putting mail into the wrong boxes and told her and the mail deliverer still left the mail in the wrong boxes. She should honestly be fired since she knew and did nothing! I tried calling to complain and was on hold for an hour with no answer. I’ll be going in to make a complaint in person immediately. Never trust mail people in Lompoc!!!!!!

Always friendly staff. Never had a problem with this post office and I’ve lived here most of my 40 years. Surprised to see complaints about them not answering their phones because I didn’t even know they had a phone#. Why do people need to call the post office? It’s primarily a pick up/drop off facility.

Customers come to the counter with packages half wrapped. The clerk wraps and tapes the packages again! Its a sweet thing to do, but in the meantime the service line stretches from one end of the building to another! GIVE THE CUSTOMER THE TAPE AND HAVE THEM WRAP THEIR OWN PACKAGES! Wait on the people who are ready. Totally frustrated with this branch.

Despite several ridiculous street spelling errors made to my address by a large retailer, making my address difficult to decipher, I was very pleased that USPS still delivered my package (with UPS being the initial carrier). Great job and thank you for helping me avoid headaches!

Sent a very valuable package for my fiancé in the mail, containing all her Christmas gifts, since I’m in the military and couldn’t be gone for the holidays this year, and package has yet to arrive 8 days later . Went to post office where I’m stationed and said it showed package was our for delivery in LOMPOC and STILL NOTHING . USPS delivery in this town is a joke, this is the most recent of deliveries they’ve messed up on out of May. Will not be using usps again

The delivery person regularly fails to deliver the mail to the right address. I wonder where my mail goes. I am regularly getting other peoples mail in my box. I have to end up doing the post office persons job by delivering it to the right address. I am going in to file a complaint with the post master.

I was home at 138pm when you delivered my Amazon packages and they were all rammed into my mailbox, when you could have easily delivered them to my door, when I had a certified mail that I had to sign for but you didnt deliver that either. Very disappointed in todays delivery.

More than adequate service. I frequently leave mail in my box for pickup. Always gets delivered. Friendly postal people. I have had 1 or 2 pieces of mail not delivered to my address with tracking. When I present this situation at the post office they are at a loss for words.

Great service but slow.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Theyre nice people working there but they dont follow up with anything and they absolutely NEVER answer their phone. I had a couple packages supposedly delivered but we never received them. They said delivered to door step on the tracker so I called for days with no answer. Finally I called Vandenberg AFB post office about the issue and they said they would get a hold of them for me. I was told they passed my contact info to the Lompoc post office and they would get in touch with me shortly... Never happened. I called for days after that with no answer. Finally, I took my lunch to go down there and talk to them in person. They took at least 20 minutes to get a supervisor to the front to talk to me. They wrote down all my contact and package info and said they would contact me shortly after they talked to the mailman who does my route. Its been a week, still no packages and not a single call back. Since this incident we have already had two more occasions where our mail was delivered to neighbors or our neighbors mail delivered to us. Its really pretty pathetic.

Personnel are very nice and helpful. You can get anything you need there for packing and shipping. Even the po boxes are cheap (:

Horrible delivery service, if youre parked into front of your mailbox they will not deliver. Super lazy, Im originally from Texas and the mail person gets out of the truck at the start of the street and walks the mail, the delivery driver here is really lazy and drives to ever mailbox. They always... ALWAYS lose my mail/packages. They dont even try to deliver to my door. I cant stand when my products choose to go through the USPS. If you can avoid using them.... I would.

Post person always leaves a pink paper stating nobody is home ij the mail box.we are always home.and now we a;ways hav to go to the post office pick up parcels in person...post man not doing his job, too lazy to walk to the door to make a delivery..pink paper should be on our door not in mail box...now im going to drive to the post office to wait 45 mins to pick up my mail for the 7 time this month..no wonder this office is aways bus

I agree with the first comment...yes, the delivery man constantly delivers mail to the wrong addresses so I complained to the supervisor but nothing has changed.

The USPS in Lompoc constantly lets me down. They almost always notify me that my package has arrived, when it isnt there! USPS gives me headaches. Why do they notify that a package was delivered when it obviously wasnt.

I dont get why they have a phone number if they never answer. Bad customer service.
