Had an excellent experience with this heavy duty towing company. The driver for my situation was super friendly, professional and an all around good guy!

Really frustrating when a company you trust refers a service provider and you find out you paid at least double the cost of another local company. Shop around before using them, there are better and more reasonable options out there! Read the fine print.

DO NOT CALL THEM FOR A TOW!!! They do not come and just steal you money. They make you pay upfront then never show up!!! We waited for hours and had to call another tow company who told us they always do this to people and take their money!!! PLEASE BEWARE! I would give it 0 stars if I could!!

Had a pleasant experience with the guys at Jonnys today! No one likes having to deal with a tow. I found this service online after I had a flat and thought I needed it towed. The scheduling team was friendly and efficient. When Jim and the truck showed up he immediately offered to adjust the service needs and change out the spare to save me time and money! The service was quick and prices were reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

These people are crooks. My wife requested a tow at 2:45pm from Oak Brook to St. Charles. She was told they would pick up the vehicle “within the hour.” We called an hour later and got the same timeline. That continued on the hour for 8 HOURS. They were rude on the phone and continually gave us the runaround. They did not deliver the vehicle under after 11:00pm. I rarely leave reviews but felt compelled to share how awful our experience was with them. If I could leave a 0 star review, I would.

He confirmed it was $65 during our conversation. I was frantic and distressed on the side on the road on a busy intersection terrified. He told me the sooner I sign he would get someone out to get me to Just Tires because they close. I believed him to have my surprise when I call back he blamed the 45 min wait time on me indicating I was on the phone 5 minutes long which caused the longer wait. I am so disappointed with my customer experience at the worst time when I’m stranded along side a highway. He knew and heard the sense of urgency in my voice and he took advantage of my desperate situation. He knew I wouldn’t read all the terms because he created the sense of urgency to sign as soon as I get it and he would the truck right away. This is very daunting that he created a more stressful situation. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau after reading all the other comments of my similar experience and I will be fighting to get my money returned. I was only 3.1 miles from the place and I need to be towed 1.7 miles to the tire shop. They charged my card $224.00 because I called back to cancel the tow. He never advised if I cancel it will be a charge he just canceled it and said you’re not getting your money back and Hung up on me! He was very rude from the beginning.

I was charged $5 per cone used, 3 rewrap fees at $125 a piece, and 6 counts of traffic control at $350 a piece, when they told me themselves on the phone that the police were there directing traffic for them. I have never paid so much for such a simple winch out. Almost $6k. I understand that its near Chicago, but this is ridiculous!

Truck needed an alternator on the side of the road these guys had us up and going in no time. Highly recommend them.

Called at 11:02 on a Tuesday, needed a tow, stuck on expressway, told driver I was with a three year old. Was assured they would be out ASAP ! At 12:30 called again and was told that they were stuck in traffic but were 15 minutes away . Waited and waited with a 3 year old ! Called again and was told the driver would call, waited and waited ! At 3:15 driver finally called and said he was 30-40 minutes away !!! I now had a crying wet ( cause he peed himself) 3 year old ! Finally after 4 hours a truck came, driver said he wasn’t even called til 2:30 ( that’s 3 1/2 hours after I called ). The person acted like I was the problem!Worst part was when the tow truck came I went in back with my car seat and they had no working seat belts ! SoI had to make the choice of getting in car or being left on the side of the road !!!! I called to speak to a manager or owner and was never called back !

PROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS!!! Started working here and everyday I showed up the doors were locked, no one was here until at least an hour after “open”. I Asked “HR” woman when I could fill out my paperwork for W-2 and each time was pushed off. Could never get ahold of the boss but when I told him I Could not continue working he refused to pay me for my time already worked and then said “see ya”.

I called this company due to battery not working therefore I needed help jumpstarting my car. However, the issue was the misleading information. I signed a online sheet and read through and all I saw about additional charges was if I used a card, check, ect. The pricing that I was told to what was taken out of my bank account actually is a huge difference. I was told “for the jumpstart it would be from 25-30 dollars”. I asked anything else and they said no. When they came and left they charged me 230 dollars... I called back and they said “well there are other additional charges” what??? I was told one thing and now another thing came about and now. This is just really upsetting because if I would have known this and the pricing better I would have said no. I would not recommend this place. They are liars, just take your money, and inconsiderate about the situation if you call back.

Stay away from them. Ordered tow truck whenever I call was 2 hours away from my broke down truck stuck in traffic from 4 pm til 8 am next morning, and never show up .Next morning no one answer the phone

Driver felt a pop while driving this loaded box truck. Truck rapidly started losing air pressure and was stranded on the side of the road. Called Jonnys for a quick tow. Very fast and professional service.

This is a terrible business and the customer service is horrendous. I have been hung up on in the middle of a call. I was charged $125 dollars after cancelling within 5 minutes of making the call even though the penny pinching man on the phone said it would be upwards of 45 minutes ‘till the tow arrived. When I called for a refund or even some sort of reimbursement considering there was absolutely no service provided. I received terrible customer service, refusing to do any sort of reimbursement. Claiming that he stated there were “no refunds” which no where was that stated and it was never brought up during the short phone call I had when asking for the tow. On top of the overall very unprofessional and rude manner of which I was treated I was hung up on mid sentence when I was asking to speak to someone else to get the issue resolved. Please if you are looking for a tow do not go here, there are many other towing companies which put their customers first and don’t extort their customers for absolutely no service.

Don’t bother. Didn’t show when they said, called O’Hare Towing and they came immediately. Don’t even know if they showed up at all. Tried calling and they never answered. If they’re were not going to come should have just said so. All bad reviews are true. Sad really, not sure how they are still in business.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! They took 3 hours to get here. I called multiple times and they kept saying they were so close. On the phone AND on the website we were quoted $65 for the service of moving car from my home to a nearby car repair place. I gave credit card information on phone and was led to believe I already paid. Then when leaving, the guy said he needed my credit card information again. I did so, thinking it was the same amount I had already agreed upon with the lady. Then he said my card was declined, which was because it went under fraud. At that point I got a text message with the price that it actually cost... which was $260. I immediately notified him that it was wrong. He acted like he had never heard a quote of $65 and that would NEVER happen. Then he proceeded to call multiple people. After multiple back and forth he said he was just going to take my car if I didnt pay. Next, I even showed him online it said $65, he went ahead and put words in my mouth saying that I found it from online and that was incorrect... but in reality we found them online, called to clarify the price before choosing them. This man literally harassed me into paying by threatening to take my car and was EXTREMELY combative. I have never felt so taken advantage of in my life. This is CLEARLY what these people do which is why they took 3 hours. NEVER go here, you will regret it. They are rude, liars, and will steal as much money as they can get. The man who towed me, named John, told me to call and ask for more information, which I did when I got home. The man who answered the phone hung up on me during my complaint. These people need to go out of business. It is not okay to do this to people.

I had a starter go out on my Volvo truck. I called for a service call and the mechanic you sent out was awesome. One of the nicest guys Ive ever met. His attitude, mechanic skills, and work ethic were amazing. He was so friendly and helpful. Got my tuck back up and running in a couple of hours.

Recently my car stopped so I began calling different places to get a quote because I was laid off due to COVID-19 and has been tight. I called 3 places before Jonnys and was quoted $65 and was it be would be $4 a mile. I then (loudly and while on an open line) calculated how far we had to go to get to the mechanics and because I thought was I was in great hands agreed to let him book my trip the track came and the driver was polite he hooked up my car and met us at mechanics when we got the bill it was a $155 because I was unaware that I had to pay for the tow to come to me. I then called with a call center back and was told that I had assumed his not got on them wrong but assume.... so while I was on the phone calculating the 4 miles, not one time to he say anything about this before the trip. so not only did he wait but he lied and then said I assumed his words.....

Spent 2 days running logistics for close to 30 towns in their area but once the work started they flaked on us. I cant vouch for a company that says one thing and does another.

My wifes car needed a jump. After I called Jonnys I let her know a truck was on the way, she let me know that someone else in the parking lot had helped to jump the car. Called to cancel service less than 5 minutes after initial phone call ended. They said ok and hung up. Then the invoice and charge on my credit card came in for $137.50. When I called to get it taken off they would not. There wasnt a supervisor on duty that I could talk to either.There was no notification at ANY POINT that there was a cancellation fee. And that the cancellation fee was the same price as the service. I should have known from the start when I had to ASK the price for the service before they were trying to get my cc info. I should have listened to my gut. When I called to have the fee removed, they were no help and very argumentative. Will dispute with my credit card company.

-5 Stars if I could, the service is absolutely terrible. The gentleman on the line didnt even introduce himself, spoke for about a one minute he didnt go into details in regards to how much the tire change would be or if there were any cancelation fees. He stated a driver would be out in about 45 min to an 1 hr. An hour passed, nothing. After 3 hours they showed up by that time my tire had already been fixed by another tow company and told them that I no longer needed their service since they took so long to arrive. They told me I had to pay a cancelation fee of $195 for them still having to come out even though services were not rendered and they showed up 3 hours later. The tow truck also parked behind my vehicle making sure I wouldnt leave without paying. I had to call the police so they could come and mediate the situation. During that time I called to speak to the manager and he was extremely rude on the line and hung up on me multiple times during mid sentence. He also had the audacity to blame me for not asking what the cancelation fee is and stated that its people like me who dont want to pay that hold up their drivers. Please avoid this tow company at all cost, theyre nothing but crooks and are trying to con you out of your hard earned money for services never rendered and showing up 3 hrs late. Theyre definitely not reliable, go elsewhere.

Excellent service, efficient and on time. While having to be towed is not always fun, Jonnys Heavy towing made it as painless as possible. Jon & Crew were awesome! They took extra time and effort to ensure that my camper van was towed safely and securely. It’s an old van with low clearance and they went out of their way to problem solve and get me towed without any problems. They were both polite and professional throughout the process. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Thanks!

The worse I have dealt with. Advertising says starting at $65. Talk to dispatch giving her the location of my vehicle and where I needed it towed. She said it would be a $124 hook fee and then $4 per mile to the destination. This was only a 5 mile tow! They advertise under 20 mins and told me a man was in the area and would be to me in 15 mins. He arrived an hour and 10 mins later. He was in no rush and told me he would meet me at the destination while he proceeded to smoke his cigarette. 5 miles later I am being charged $224. I was told i was being charged 24 miles, the miles it took for the tow truck to get to me plus the miles to the destination and my $124 hook fee. Total RIP OFF!!! I would never use them again nor recommend them. $224 for a 5 mile tow. Would hate for it to had been a 15 mile tow or further. They are not the best at all!!!

We Called this company for a RV tow. They are professional and very nice. The dispatcher we spoke with on the phone will go out of there way to make you comfortable. We highly recommended.My wife and I cant thank you enough to getting us to a safe locution and off the side of the expressway.

Overall excellent quality extremely professional driver was on the scene when they said he would be was able to get us off the road into a safe spot where he was able to further diagnose and repair the tractor trailer.

Cody was one of the best drives I’ve had with a tow truck driver. He cool kinda smelled a little bit very courteous and helpful. He showed up at the given eta. He made sure I was well taken care of.

I just had a “light duty” tow for a van from Lombard to Villa Park. The tow was 3.9 miles. I WAS CHARGED $390!!!!!! I have never paid this much for a tow in my entire life! I called to inquire why the tow was so high for traveling less than 4 miles away. I was told that the tow truck is clocked from the time it leaves the shop until it returns. This particular tow truck they sent was coming from Crest Hill which is 35 minutes away! So rather than explaining to me that there are no trucks in my area and I might be better off using another company, they just charged me for their travel time! When I called to dispute the charge, the man that answered was extremely rude and hung up on me!!!! DO NOT EVER USE JONNY’S TOWING! If you do, make sure you ask WHERE you truck is traveling from because you are responsible for paying no matter how far away their truck is! Absolutely ridiculous scam and horrible service!

I noticed all the 5 star reviews were repeated across the companies different locations. So your same car was towed by each of the locations? Must be an employer requirement to write reviews. I was able to speak to Jimmy Wagner himself when I called. Hes the manager so his review below seemed a little biased to me. I was crossed by this business. Their one of those one time only types of companies. You call them once, they get over on you and ride off. Better Business Bureau has F rating for this reason. Research your options and find someone realistic. Their rates are very high. As in unreasonable.

Should be zero stars. My car died and I was stuck in the middle of the road on an off ramp for OVER TWO HOURS. I called after 30 min, oh its 25 min away call after an hour oh its right up the street, they didnt show up until 2 whole hours after I called but instead of being upfront about the wait, they LIED to me multiple times. And I couldnt cancel because the cancellation fee was $195!! It ended up costing me $195 for them to eventually take me to a service station 0.7 miles away. I wish I did more research beforehand but I was in the middle of the road and scared. Luckily a good Samaritan was able to push me to the shoulder to safety, but that was the only luck I had. Dont waste your hard earned money on this company.

TERRIBLE Tow truck company! TERRIBLE customer service! My insurance does not covers my tows from what I found out when I called. I still want my dam receipt to try to get refunded. 5 weeks now I have been calling for this receipt and they keep putting me off. I even had my insurance agent call and they still have NOT sent a receipt. They were paid. They get to keep their money. All I want is a copy of the receipt for a payment I made to them for my tow. Unbelievable. I will never use this service again and I will never recommend to any of my friends or family. TERRIBLE people and liars they told me my insurance company would reimburse me 100%! Not the case! Thank goodness my insurance company is going to see what they can do but they’re not promising anything.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Trip ticket went in at 1426 for a tow 30 minutes away from them. I was told they would be there within 40 minutes. An hour later I get an automated call stating they are 10 minutes out. Another 30 minutes later, I call and they say they are about 30 minutes away. Almost another hour goes by and I call them again....oh we are about 30 minutes away......from the time the trip ticket was sent (1426) till now (1805)....still no truck!!!! Never use them again!!!!

DO NOT CALL THEY WILL LEAVE YOU STANDING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD! So this weekend, my motorcycle broke down on me, I called progressive road side assistance. Progressive told me it would be 50 min for services and assigned me Johnny’s towing. I finally got notice from Johnny’s and they said service was an hour and half away. This was much more than progressive told me, but I did not have a lot of options. I called the dispatcher asked if the ETA was accurate and he told me it was going to be every bit of 4:58. I stood on the side of the road waiting for 2 hours and at 5:00pm, I called asking where service was. He told me that my driver was on another call and he would be over shortly. He told me the driver was in my “area”. At 5:15, I called back and at 5:30, I called again. The dispatcher decided to no longer answer his phone. He would not take my calls, I am literally standing on the side of the road and the wonderful people of Johnny’s were such cowards that they would not answer. Finally at 5:45, I get a call from a driver who says he is heading over and should be in my area in another 45 min. I asked him where he was leaving from and he told me the Lombard location. That is when I figured it out. They had a shift change at 5:00pm, my delivery point was 21 miles away. The driver did not want to have to work late, when my call came in at 3:00. They waited for the 5:00pm driver to start before they even bothered to come help me. I was completely sunburned from having to stand next to my Motorcycle for 3.5 hours. I called another company and got picked up in 45 min. I waited for 3.5 hours for help from Johnny’s towing and they never came. If you are on your phone looking for help, do not call Johnny’s they will abandon you and help will never come!

I would strongly recommend finding another towing company to help you. I was in Rochelle on a December night. My car wouldnt start. I found this company in a google search. I called up asked for a price and how long it would to get a truck to my location. I was told $65, which I thought was expensive for a jump, but it was cold out and they indicated they could be their in 20 minutes, so I agreed. After 28 minutes I received a call from a driver from their company, who asked me for my location(again), and once I told him, he indicated he could be there in 10 Minutes. I told him to just forget about it, and I will find another company since they were so late. The company I called indicated he could be there in 15 minutes(which he was) and he was half the price. After that, the owner(or manager not sure which) called back and was mad because I told their driver not to come. I told him they were going to be at least 20 minutes late, so I found a company that would provide more timely service, and he was only half the price. The owner proceeded to ask me what did I expect since I was in the middle of nowhere(Tell the good people of Rochelle they are in nowhere), and he called me a loser for telling his driver not to come. On a side note, I was making small talk with another customer at the Gas Station(where I was located), and when he found out who was coming, he frowned and indicated that they were incredibly expensive. He indicated they had charged someone $800+ for a tow of their pickup. He said he could go home and get his car starter, and I thanked him, but said the driver has to be here any minute because they were already late(little did I know they hadnt even assigned a driver at that point).

Worst service Ive ever had. Took almost 2 hours to arrive after telling me 30 minutes. Had a 18 miles drop off (88 east and midwest road to 4876 n Clark street in chicago) and they stated some lies about a truck route and charged for 38 miles, just look at the map. They over charged me $100 dollars for a total of $292 for a 18 miles tow. Do not use them unless you like being ripped off.

Jonnys Towing arrived quickly. The driver had lots of knowledge and safety in mind, he loaded my 2017 C7 Corvette onto the tow truck and transported the car back to the dealer. He was very polite and beyond helpful! I would recommend this towing company to all my friends. .

Super fast on the seen was quoted about a 40 min eta. I locked my keys in the car with the darn Ignition left on. The battery ended up dying as well due to the stereo being left on and subs going. The driver who came out is the best and I’ll be using this towing company again>

Unprofessional, rude!! Needed my car towed from my home to auto shop less than a mile away! Asked about price over the phone was told once the driver made it he would calculate where my car was going and go from there, that should have been a sign to hang up then! Got made it, hooked my car up and told me I owed $195 for hook up fee and since my car was going less than a mile he would waive the mileage price, I asked why it was never mentioned when I asked for price over the phone and he said he didnt take my call so he didnt know. I told him that I wasnt paying $200 for my car to go less than a mile and to unhook my car, he told me no he wasnt unhooking my car until he received the $195. He sat in my driveway for over an hour demanding money, almost ran me over when I tried to stop him from pulling off with my car! He took advantage that I was a female alone! Horrible experience, I gave him $50 to unhook my car and got no service in return! Huge scammers!!!!

Jonnys Towing helped me out today and he did an amazing job! Very efficient on getting my car loaded and transported safely. I appreciate the kindness of your driver. I high recommend your service to everyone.

Would give a negative rating if possible. Worst experience ever!!! Was charged $200 for a freaking jump start. The guy said he drove 15 miles to my house but was there in 10 min. They advertise $65 on the website. Guy says $65 is for most basic services. Not sure what is more basic than a jump start for a tow truck company. SCAM - BETTER OFF NOT CALLING THEMNote - The driver was professional and courteous and provided good service. Its the company thats at fault.

Two huge issues with the company from my experience. First, they were more than 90 minutes late for the tow. It was a Saturday afternoon. However no big deal.I had called the tow for a family friend who didnt speak english. They quoted me $65.00 to hook the car and $4.00 for every mile. When they towed my family friend car, they took advantage of them and charged him $195.00 for the hook and $5.00 for every mile. I called wit him 20 minutes of finding out and the dispatcher told me to call on Monday when the office ladies are in and they will get it all sorted out. Called Monday and spoke to Johnny the manager. He kept telling me we speak American in America and the guy should have known what he was signing. Never cared about the quote I got over the phone and wasnt helpful at all. He was being a huge prick the whole time.Def would NOT recommend.

I needed a heavy wrecker quick. They said within the hour. 4.5 hrs later they are still Lying when they will show. Finally admitted he doesn’t know when. Cost me 2 days of work

Spectacular company. Jonnys Towing employees are top notch. We would not consider using anyone else for all of our towing needs. Their quotes are always spot on with no surprises when they arrive and they are always on time. One call does do it all! A+ service!

I called Jonnys Towing to have my massive tool box towed. The dispatcher was very nice and up front. He gave me a good deal and show he cared for my expensive equipment. I will use them again and recommend to my buddies.
