Every staff member we met were amazing and friendly. The reason for 3 stars is the quality of the rooms. The hallway lights flickered like The Shining, the bathroom has water damage peeling away the wallpaper above the toilet, the vanity top was cracked, the shower drain didn’t plug, the mirror in the rooms frame was falling apart and there was random red stains on the carpet. Also the TV was from 1999 and didn’t have access to Hulu/netflix. Very unimpressed with rooms but I don’t want that to reflect on the friendly front desk!

Positive: I enjoy staying here, which I do often. Very clean and comfortable Negative: THE HEAT WAS TURNED OFF IN THE ROOMS¿.. I had to sleep with my clothes on!!!! Guest should be able to regulate the room temperature to their liking! Staff told me the heat is off in the hotel and the only thing you can do is turn the fan to low or off

Positive: Clean rooms, pleasantly decorated. Great pool and fitness center. Enjoyed the Peleton bike. Negative: They did not offer free wifi, which i could not Neil over. I had to conduct business in the lobby. No additional amenities. NO clean towels in fitness area and pool. My floor had a barking dog and noisy guests which made my stay less pleasant.

Positive: The staff at this Westin is always professional and helpful. Great having excellent restaurants within the hotel. Location. Negative: For the second consecutive stay in a month, I was placed in a room with some inoperable lighting and had to be moved. Some cost-cutting measures are obvious. I will probably stay again and I hope they come back to what they were pre-pandemic.

Positive: They allowed early check in which was so helpful after a long trip. The room was nice, quiet, all you can expect to sleep well. Negative: I am a woman and do not like the large directly overhead shower head..you cant get wet without wetting your hair, no good. It does have a handicap hand held, do not like. They have replaced sleek mesh blinds with heavy drapes, a minus. Dust catchers.

Positive: Free parking. I¿d stay here again just so I dont have to pay Chicago hotel parking fees. Negative: The room was average, no better than say, a Hampton Inn room. Plus it was next to an elevator. Check in was a bit unfriendly, but it was just after midnight. I¿m not sure I¿d have been too friendly at that time. The place is 3 1/2 star max

Outstanding hotel! We stayed at three Marriott properties in the past two weeks; all were excellent but the Westin in Lombard is truly a luxury hotel (at an affordable price.) In addition, we received exceptional customer service from Karmeisha at the front desk, who went the extra mile to meet our travel needs. Spacious, well-appointed rooms with great views, and the beds were truly heavenly as advertised. Highly recommend!

The hotel is nice and well kept. However, for as much as they charge and things they dont tell you, like what theyll charge you for when you see your invoice, I would prefer to stay at another location.No breakfast is provided here, youll have to pay for Wi-Fi unless you join some membership, and its challenging to reach the front desk unless you go to the front desk.

Positive: The most positive comment I can provide for this hotel was the fact that it was easy to get to and was right next to a target. Hotel parties seemed to be welcomed, maybe too much... Negative: This was advertised as a 4.5 star but should have been a 3 at best. It was dirty, trash in parking lot, walls were damaged, very poor cooling in 2 different rooms. Overall the upkeep is poor. Terrible customer service.

This hotel use to be nice, not anymore. Stayed here again last weekend, first time after Covid shutdown, and it’s not the same. Room wasn’t clean, bathrooms shower was dirty as well, limited tv options, ect. Not worth the price anymore. I won’t be back

The hotel, itself, is lovely. The morning staff is wonderful. Kevin, in the evening, not so much. When we got to the hotel, he nonchalantly told us our suite we booked online was not available. That was pretty hard to believe, being that the hotel was empty. Then once we checked out, we were charged an occupancy/tourism fee. We are from Illinois. However, it’s okay. God doesn’t like ugly. We’ll be blessed.

We had a wonderful one night stay here. The lobby is beautiful and smells really good. The guy at the front desk was very nice and welcoming and answered all of our questions. There are 18 floors in the building - we stayed on the 14th. The room was clean, the king size bed was super comfy. They have plenty of counter space in the bedroom under the tv. There’s a mini fridge and safe in the room as well as a good size closet. The windows are big and let in great natural light yet the curtains do a fantastic job keeping out unwanted light. The bathrooms were kind of small but the rain showers were nice. The one thing we noticed was that there was practically no where to hang a towel! Haha. We had access to the club level lounge where they serve breakfast between 6am-9am. It was a hot breakfast with bacon, eggs, fresh fruit and some other yummy options. They have these really nice starbucks coffee machines too that make a fresh cup of coffee for you on the spot. The gym was nice as well with an ample amount of machines including a pelaton bike. They have a large indoor pool next to the gym too! There’s parking out front which is where we parked but we were told they also have a complimentary parking garage for much needed covered parking in the winter. Overall we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it for your next trip to the western suburbs of Chicago.

Hotel gave you the typical priceline room, asked front desk if possible for a high floor, as he was about to give it manager signaled and stopped him. Smelled of smoke, dirty sheets, checked in late at night too tired to complain. Will never stay again.

Quite disappointed.. booked initially expecting benefits from platinum bonvoy membership but the hotel didn’t offer executive lounge access during weekends, any breakfast options, nor room upgrades. I was disappointed with my stay at this location. I have stayed at other Westin hotels in the Chicago area and had much better experiences.Upon arrival the desk clerk was not at the desk and it took a minute before she came out and acknowledged me. I did not ask about upgrading my room but she indicated to me immediately that there was not any upgraded rooms even though the Marriott indicated that there were some available. This was not a big deal to me though since I only stayed for one night.On my way to the room I observed a lot of trash and debris in the hall and it looked like it had not been vacuumed well in a while. The room condition was ok but not great. There were a lot of stains on the window shade and other wear in the room which leads me to believe that some of the rooms may be in need of a refresh. Also the walls in the hallway were pretty banged up on the way to the ice machine.One thing that was irritating was that the TV remote was missing from the room. I looked for alternate ways to use it but could not find buttons on the side to control it. I attempted to use the phone to call the front desk to report the missing remote but either the phone was not working or I could not figure out how to properly operate it. Either way I went back to the front desk to ask for a new one. The same clerk that checked me in said that she would have one sent to me but that never happened.Another issue that I had was that the hot water did not seem to heat up properly in the evening. I had it turned up full blast and it was barely warm. It did work better in the morning but not the night before.Finally typically when I check into a Marriott property the clerk will thank me for being a Titanium member and offer a welcome gift. The clerk did not do either of these things. Overall I did not feel wanted at this property.I did contact customer care to try to resolve this before leaving a negative review. Customer care did email me back to apologize for the experience and told me that I would hear from the executive staff in 3 to 5 business days. That didnt happen so that also made me feel like my business is unwanted.This was probably my worst experience at a Marriott property and I visit them everywhere around the country. There are many choices in the Chicago area and The Westin in Lombard must do better than this if they are going to charge a premium price.Show lessWas this review helpful?

Love staying at the Westin. The room where the pool is located is always so nice and warm and the pool is a great size. The rooms are always immaculate and have nice views. The front desk staff is always so welcoming and wonderful at taking care of any requests. Conchita in particular has been exceptionally accommodating with any special requests and always genuinely wants to make us feel taken care of. Also I am a fan of the BON VOY app. You can chat with the front desk through this app as well as accumulate points and other things. Also this location is walking distance from yorktown mall as well as a variety of restaurants. Great local get-away!

The night desk rep. was able to help me 1000%, over and beyond his call of duty bc I had an embarrassing horrible experience at Embassy Suites. Stayed one night booked through Priceline everything went well so decided we wanted to extend one more night. The lady at front desk charged my card and came out of my account but then she told me it didn’t charge and isn’t showing up in computer and I’m showing her and her manger my bank transaction, on the phone with my bank and get told I’m gonna have to wait 14 days for the refund and we couldn’t stay cause it didn’t show up on their system. Next day I. Charged an additional 143$ so I call to see what happened. My payment did go through ( so I could of stayed) and the lady never checked me out so I was charged additional money. I am really bummed cause it’s sort of my family’s get away to go and try different hotels and we really wanted to like this one but this is the only place I’ve ever had problems with and the manager was rude about the whole thing. Thankfully the lady I talked to today cleared it up fast and easy so thank you!

My hubby and I stayed here for my birthday May 1-3, 2021 in room 942. Karmesha and Angie were great at the front desk. Their hospitality was awesome. Everything I asked them for I got. The room and terrace was peaceful. However there’s update and maintenance to be done. The tile in the bathroom was chipped. The cabinet that held the tv and fridge was chipped and missing wood. The lounge chair had spots. The terrace had peeling paint and moss everywhere. We showed pictures to Karmesha and she said she will make it known to management and block that room so nobody gets it until it’s fixed. I enjoyed myself in spite of the bad points because it is a nice place to stay.

As I sit here at 3am, my kids and I can not sleep from the condition of this deluxe suite. It looks nothing like the photos. Lights do not work, furniture is broken, chipped, and ripped. Extremely outdated and most of all our sheets are dirty with red lipstick. It smells like mold with all outdated furniture, dirty outdated blinds, stained lamps, dark outdated wallpaper and a bed/mattress that is worn down. I’ll be posting pictures soon, I paid for this hotel as much as I would for a 5 star in downtown but, received motel quality. As we tried calling the front desk to let them know, we realized the phone Didn’t work and looks like it’s never been cleaned. Extremely concerning considering it’s covid. I should Of known the moment I walked in and seen piles of trash outside by the entrance.

I had high expectations, especially given the cost but I was disappointed. I was there for a wedding Memorial Day weekend, 3 nights and 2 days. The entire weekend the room wasn’t cleaned, sheets not changed or towels replaced. And my room wasn’t the only one from the wedding who experienced the same thing. We were shocked and the manager wasn’t helpful when confronted at check out

Positive: The building itself was gorgeous, with a spectacular lobby. The staff were quick and courteous. The room was spacious, and everything was new and clean. The view from the window was amazing. The TV was huge and well-placed, with plenty of channels. Negative: There were no true night stands. There was a stone block with a flat surface on which a light and a clock were placed. No drawer. No Bible. No binder with hotel amenities and attractions. No breakfast. A rather cold environment.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Our room was modern with ample amenities, no coffee maker but it did have a mini fridge. The furniture was sleek, TV was big, king size bed was comfy and pillows were comfy as well. The hotel was understaffed during our stay in my opinion, but we did stay on a holiday weekend. We had a difficult time reaching the front desk in our attempt to request a microwave. I do not blame the employees though as every time we were in the lobby there was only one person working. Target is next door for any forgotten necessities you might need during your stay. Nice suburban location, I would most likely stay again if traveling in the area.

We stayed at the Westin this past weekend when we were in town for a wedding. The hotel was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. However, the customer service was where the hotel lacked. We arrived at 12:00 pm, which was 3 hours before our check in time, but we were able to pre-check in, so when our room was ready we could get right into it. The man who helped us pre-check in told us he would have housekeeping clean our room next since we arrived early and we had the wedding rehearsal at 3:30 pm. He told us that he would call us when our room was ready, but he never did. We came back at 3:00 pm (our scheduled check in time) but our room still wasn’t ready. We didn’t end up getting our room keys until almost 5:30 pm....2 and a half hours after our scheduled check in time. When we went to get our room keys the desk attendant gave us our keys and didn’t apologize for the delay. They didn’t acknowledge the error on their part, and it made for a stressful and inconvenient start to our already hectic weekend. I was disappointed with how this situation was handled due to all of the amazing reviews I have heard about the Westin.
