The Illinois Cremation Centers gave us the absolute best service we could have asked for. We had an unexpected death in the family and had no idea where to begin the process. My family used ICC 4 years ago when our father passed and recently had to use them again for our aunt. I was skeptical at first because Ive never done a cremation online. I must say they are very professional, they answer all of your questions (and I had plenty}. They returned my calls in a timely manner. Julie made the process quick and painless. I would definitely recommend using their services.

We all know how tough it is to lose a loved one, especially when unexpectedly. Even when all legal documents are in place and there are no disagreements among family members, one is inevitably thrown into a difficult situation. Additional wrinkle for me was in the fact that I live several thousand miles away from Chicago and do not know it well at all.I quickly learned that making burial or cremation arraignments is where everything begins, since that leads to the issuance of a Death Certificate (DS). Not much can get done without a DS! But when you are new to the city, where do you even start???I was very fortunate that one of the first places I contacted was Illinois Cremation Centers in Lombard, IL. People who I spoke with explained to me the process, what to expected and what I needed to do. Their communication, both via email and phone, was very clear, professional and timely. Everything was moving along according to the plan until USPS lost the envelope with death certificates. As mentioned above, without a DS in hand, very little can get done from administrative and legal perspective. In addition, the end of my stay in Chicago was approaching and something had to be done fast. This is where choosing the right company often does make a huge difference. One of Illinois Cremation Centers team members Bambi Jackson went above and beyond to make sure I did not leave Chicago without a DS. She arraigned for new copies to be issued and had a currier go to the Cook County office to pick them up. From there, I drove out to Lombard on my last day before flying out.Overall Illinois Cremation Centers team gets A and Bambi Jackson A+ for excellent customer service experience that they provided to me.

Its been necessary for me to utilize the services offered by Illinois Cremation Centers in both 2019 for my cherished only brother and 2020 for my beloved Mother. I had a very good experience with Illinois Cremation Centers. I found the 3 staff members I spoke with to be very compassionate and professional. They were responsive to my questions in a timely manner, and helped me to fill out the necessary forms. They were by far the most inexpensive option I could find when my dear friend passed away after a long battle with cancer. She had expressed a desire to minimize the cost of her funeral arrangements, and I don’t believe that we sacrificed any quality of service by going with this more budget friendly option.

It was a very difficult decision for me to have my Mom cremated. But after speaking with Julie and Colton, they made me feel like it was the right choice. So this is what my family did. We got the urn home and couldn’t open it. So I spoke with Julie she made me an appointment and took care of it. Plus they filled my keepsakes as well. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the experience we had with Julie during the hardest times of my life. Losing my sister unexpectedly in November couldn’t have been harder. Julie at Illinois Cremation Center— made me feel like she really cared. She listened even when I was upset about details and things she had no control over — but just was a sounding board during my grief. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated everything she did for us. Little did I know that I would be calling her again so soon in June. My Dad and Mother-in-law passed away on the very same day— June 1st. It was a horrible day. There were so many details to be worked out and Julie was patient and kind during all of it. You need someone who makes you feel like isn’t a business — but that they truly care about your family and your deceased family member. Certainly, I hope I don’t have to use their services soon but I am very grateful for the extreme grace shown and respect during this terrible time. My father died of COVID-19 in April and after calling a few cremation centers, we decided on Illinois Cremation Center as soon they answered the phone. Their customer service is TOP NOTCH. Julie, Colton an Bambi took the time to explain the process with care and attention to my grief. If I needed to call and check the status of my dads cremains or share updates of the impending military service, they were always willing to answer my questions. A few days before the service, Julie called me to make sure that everything was all set and asked if I had any other questions. Julie explained the final steps in the internment process and I appreciated her calling. (transfering the cremains). I had both my mom and dad cremated here, the process went very smoothly. All my questions were compassionately answered, theyre attentive and available. My father passed in December of 2016. Bambi has been very nice and understanding. I have been blowing off getting his cremains because I couldnt bare to see him reduced to nothing but ashes. After viewing his body in his apartment and not really knowing when he passed; I had to much guilt and pain. So, not picking up his cremains meant I could just forget about it instead of looking at him on a daily basis being reminded of how I could have done more to care for my father, I failed him and I will never forgive myself. Bambi has made numerous attempts for me to come and pick the cremains up. She did not make harassing phone calls. Her attempts were very timely and approbation for someone grieving. Bambi was very empathic and showed sympathy. She was never rude to me by phone. However, I will be going to pick up my father cremains in person soon and will do another review.
