I really dont like TVs mounted over fireplaces, because of having to crane your neck back to watch TV. But unfortunately, thats often the most natural place to mount a TV, including in my new place here in Chicago.I contacted two Chicago area dealers of motorized TV fireplace mounts and John at Barretts contacted me back quite quickly. He came out, scoped the job for me to install a mount that would drop the TV in front of the fireplace when I wanted to watch it, and quoted me a fair price.There were some COVID delays from their supplier which I cannot fault anyone for. But the mount went up today. And their installation team has completely exceeded my wildest expectations.Their installers paid attention to the tiniest details. They rewired the entire setup to hide wires rather than taking the easy way out and just keep it as is. When I mentioned maybe buying a cable shroud later to wrap the cables together, without me even asking they went to the truck and did it for me. And rather than spending an hour or two mounting my TV and calling it good enough, they spent seven hours making sure everything was 100% perfect.I am blown away. This was a small job, nothing fancy. But their team completely nailed it. Barretts made a customer for life out of me today.
