For the past 20+ years, Ive been writing a computer program that teaches Japanese and English. Fast digitizing of old broadcast video and vhs.

To be honest, we were a little leery about letting treasured photos/slides out of our home to any reproduction company. We had photos well over 100 years old, some historical documents, pics of births, graduations, and weddings, After reading reviews, we decided on Smooth Photo Scanning Services. They were professional, efficient, and cordial. Quality of older photos digitalized was very good. The cost of the project was reasonable and worth it enabling ease of passing along to kids and grandkids. The turn around time for project completion was a few weeks. Photos were returned to us in the same order and condition as given. Brandon himself even called us when he had a question about a few of the pics, almost unheard of from a boss. Thank you. Ive been holding on to many professional format videotapes for the last two decades in the hope of finding a reputable conversion service that would help me preserve these valuable memories. Every time I thought I had found a good service, they were either price prohibited, or didnt inspire confidence. Finally decided to give Smooth Photo a try and send them just a few of my tapes. I was very pleased with how easy it was to do the transaction, their communication throughout the process, and the final quality of the digital file. And they returned my tapes back to me safe and sound. I now intend to use them for the rest of my collection. Highly recommend them.

I love taking photos, and I have since I was a little girl, but this has left me with so many random printed photos that I never new what to do with. I was listening to a podcast and the lady speaking mentioned that she had used this service, so I decided to try it out for myself. SO happy that I did. The process was seamless from start to finish and I received my printed photos back in no time with a digital file of all my photography. While it was hard tossing out all the printed copies in the trash, my mind is at ease because I know I have them all digitally.

Smooth Photo scanned some color slides that were over 50 years old. I was very pleased with the result. The turn around time was very prompt. I would definitely use them again.

Great service. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They answered all my questions and finished my order within 3 weeks. I had 9 VHS tapes that I wanted to convert to digital. After some thought I decided to use this place as they had good reviews and did the conversions on site. Other places like Costco or imemories require the tapes to be sent out. They checked the tapes for blanks and did not charge for those. The seven remaining tapes were all converted into digital files onto a USB drive. All the videos were converted and in relatively good quality considering they were over 20 years old. I also requested that the videos be put onto DVDs and they were.

I used this company to convert stereo slides to jpg files. Spoke to one person there before sending off materials. They were friendly and reassuring and delivered results in less time than originally expected. Also the best value I could find for this request, not a lot of businesses who offer that particular service. A win all the way around....

Brandon and company did a great job with 120-year-old family photos that were in very bad shape. We are very pleased with the results. Turnaround time was also very fast. I highly recommend them.

We are extremely satisfied with the entire process. I discovered a picture from the 1991 Marine Corps Ball in Rota Spain. This picture was very special to me as it is the only one where many of my closest friend (Marines) from that command were present. Over the years, this picture had not only become stuck to the glass frame, but the glass itself was broken. My photo was completely restored to its original form...thank you SO much for helping me preserve something so important to my lifes history!

This company typically works on larger orders. I still received excellent service even though I only had one photo that I needed to have restored. I had a slide from sixty years ago that was dirty as well as overexposed. They digitized and cleaned up the image and it looked beautiful. My only concern was that after they had restored the photo my mothers face no longer looked like my mother (the original image was really washed out because the photo had been overexposed). I sent them another photo of my mother at about the same age, and they superimposed a clear image of her face over top. I was very happy with the results.

I sent in well over 100 tapes. The work was completed as estimated in the beginning and was well done. After receiving the hard drive I had a question and the f/u was almost immediate. I would definitely use them again

Smooth is the word. An easy and simple transaction turned a tape that was made decades ago into a contempary digital that can be played on most devices.

I chose smooth photo because of their good reviews and their pick up and delivery service for larger orders. The pick up service worked well. We were concerned about just mailing our stuff in because this was the only copy we had of movies and tapes. Although a few of the VHS-C tapes had issues, probably bad from the start, the great majority of our movies and tapes came out great. Some of the movies were 90 years old and we got good video from them.

We had over 400 family slides from my uncle who passed away. Simply the best! Unfortunately, I had sent some 3/4 and BetaCam tapes to an inferior digitizer before I found Smooth Photo, and the other company was only able to digitize about 80% of the tapes. They didn’t actually tell me this, but some of the video files they sent me were blank or unwatchable. I sent those same tapes to Smooth Photo and not only were they able to scan them beautifully, the quality was superior to every other company I’ve used and the price was the best. I wish I had found Smooth Photo first. I will never send a videotape anywhere else. I would highly recommend. By the way, these were tapes that had been in my hot garage for 34 years, and they got a nice, viewable image from them.

Professional, prompt, courteous and they answered ALL my questions. I mailed (from FL to NJ) 21 albums (3 ring binders) loaded with pictures + tons of loose pics and stuff. What a great company and great service! I had two broadcast quality Sony Betamax tapes. Bigger than normal tapes. Nobody had the equipment to convert them. I contacted them by email, and after sending photos of my tapes, they reassured me they could transfer them. From that moment on it was an easy print, ship, and wait. I highly recommend Smooth Photo Scanning Service. I was not initially satisfied with the digitized results of my more than 1100 slides. After discussing my dissatisfaction with Brandon, he said he would be happy to rescan the slides at no additinal charge. I volunteered to pay him an extra fee but he would would not accept it. My wife and I are very happy we made the decision to have Smooth convert our old photos to digital for us. We literally spent a couple hours that first night when we got them back, viewing them with our kids, through the family room TV. I want to thank Smooth for sorting the pictures and setting them up into different folders. Its great to have our old photos, even Polaroids, available this way!

I recently converted all my old physical pictures to digital using Smooth Photo Services. I had additional requirements to edit the metadata of the photos so that theyd be sortable and searchable when I uploaded them to Google Photos. Despite this being an uncommon request, Brandon was very willing to work with me and sent me a sample along the way to confirm that he was editing the metadata correctly. I had considered using other services, but I found Smooth Photo Scanning to be the best option because they gave me the best price and because they do all the scanning in house without shipping my photos to another state. It just feels better to look someone in the face and discuss the project when you are handing over the only copy of your precious memories. I had tons of questions and Brandon was extremely patient and had the expertise to answer all of them.My photos all look great, much better than if I had tried to scan them myself and without having to sacrifice an entire summer of weekends to get it done!
