Justin came out to complete an annual service for our AC and while he was not able to complete the job (furnace issues), he was professional, on time, and very helpful in educating us with the issues at hand. Nathan from Barker Cooling and Heatingt installed a new ecobee smart thermostat for us. We had tried to do it ourselves but we did not have a c wire to power the thermostat and the wiring on our furnace/ac was too complicated for us to install a c wire adapter kit. Nathan knew exactly what to do - he took an unused wire running from the furnace/ac to our thermostat and made it a new c wire to power the ecobee. Then promptly installed the new ecobee and sensor and went through all of its functions with us. Very pleased with Barker Cooling and Heating and Nathan in particular - knowledgeable and professional and very reasonably priced to boot. I will use Barker Cooling and Heating again.

The PM only checked if the units were operational and nothing else. PM of the ac unit did not cover coil cleaning which should be an essential part of PM. The quoted extra cost for coil cleaning was more than $500, a total rip off.

I contacted Barker Heating after having several technicians out here that misquoted me saying I needed to install a longer flue. The technician from Barker came out and did a full diagnosis, even climbing on the roof to check the venting and stated it was set above the recommended settings that was tripping the safety feature.**** Update - PG&E came back out and stated the situation had worsened and the tech didnt do anything. I contacted Barker and they refunded my diagnostic fee as the previous company stood by their diagnostic and changed the flu as I had been quoted.

My experience with Barker was 100% positive. Barkers communication through the process was excellent. In particular Jordan kept me apprised of the schedule, and followed through with the post-installation permit and inspection process. There was a minor glitch with the new thermostat that Barker fixed the next day. I love my new system!

Love Barker! They installed a new air conditioner and furnace last year. We called them again to come out and do a yearly check. Tyler called to let me know when he was almost here and he arrived on time. He was very friendly, wore a mask and had booties so he didnt bring any dirt or anything into my house. He sat with me for a few minutes afterwards to explain how everything was working ~ everything was working great! He also made sure he had answered all my questions before he left. Barker does good quality work and are always professional when at my home.

Bill Sweeney was awesome. Very friendly but not overly so. Extremely knowledgeable and fixed my issue with literally 10 minutes (thankfully it was an easy fix!). Also when I called they were able to accommodate very quickly and the guy I spoke to on the phone was friendly and professional! Will definitely use them in the future and recommend!

Full Disclosure: I know nothing about my furnace. I had Tyler from Barker Heating come out to my home to take a look at how efficient my furnace was functioning. He was on time, he was clean, and he communicated very well. He showed me the stuff he felt I needed to know, he made some very smart recommendations and he even played with my dog for a minute to make sure the dog was comfortable too. Did I mention how inexpensive the whole experience was? He spent over an hour at my house and it cost less than $90. Where else can you get that kind of service? It was a really remarkable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Barker Heating & Cooling to everyone I see. They take customer service seriously and it shows!!

Paid 90 dollars for a check up and didn’t even get the recommendation or anything. The person was great and customer service was solid as everyone else stated. But, you are hiring a company to come check out and make recommendations on your HVAC system didn’t take a look at any of my duct work and wasn’t able to make any recommendations. Take it from me don’t waste your money all they want to do is sign you up for there “plan” to “save” money but there is not value to be had. As they say bigger isn’t always better I mean so big you can’t even send your recommendations and an invoice.

Nothing but good things from the folks at Barker. The technician Bryce was thorough and did a great job of explaining what was going on with my AC unit. He caught the fact that the system didn’t have a drain in the attic unit and that water was backing up into the drain pan. This is something I wouldn’t have even known to look for. Did a great job inspecting and cleaning out the unit. I highly recommend.

My Air condition have a problem on Thursday, and I called Barker on Friday close by evening. But they still schedule a technician on Saturday. The technician - Albert Castaneda shows up every then the scheduled, he is very nice and polite. He was explained very detail about my AC issues.
