Little did I know that I would also end up starting therapy myself and as a result resolve issues in my life that have been bothering me for a very long time.In all of my sessions, I felt that Valentina genuinely cared and wanted to get me better. She is compassionate, intelligent, and has vast knowledge and expertise in different modes of therapy. She helped me to work through and process some major childhood traumas.I stopped having those reoccurring, painful memories. They still exist in my memory but more like facts with no emotional undercurrent, which now leaves plenty of mental energy to get on with my life. Valentina brings a balanced perspective the couple’s therapy. She looks at both parties as one unit and truly tries to examine how they communicate and suggests improvements in how the couple can become better partners to each other. Instead of making assumptions about the underlying issues or being overbearing on to the individual with her expertise, she dutifully and gently explores the areas where a couple might have issues and then guides both of the partners toward better understanding of each other’s means of communication to facilitate a healthier relationship. She is respectful, patient and willing to accommodate your situation. For me, the visits were a learning experience and I am glad with having taken the time to come with my partner.

My husband I went to see Valentina for about 6 months and she is a very kind, patient, caring therapist. We were both unsure about going to therapy but knew there were things we needed to work on in our marriage and Valentina instantly put us at ease. I have been seeing Valentina for about 6 months now. I would and have highly recommended her to many of my friends. Valentina is without a doubt the best counselor Ive ever had. Ive survived losing my arm to child support, cancer, years of being abused in family court, and repeatedly having my son taken from me, so I know major trauma. Valentina has been extremely helpful in getting past some old issues. I have been seeing her for three months and I would highly recommend her. She is insightful, intuitive, and has many tools in which to help someone.

When I first entered Valentina’s office it was only because she was in my network of therapist that work with my insurance. After my first visit I felt like I had found a safe place and someone who could help me. I’ve been able to rise above my trauma and pursue my goals in life with confidence. She’s accessible in and out of therapy when you need someone to talk to.

Soft spoken is the only accurate thing on the google ratings. She was biased and extremely unprofessional. If you want your feelings minimized and to feel as though you are being quietly judged, she is the counselor for you. She actually asked me if I was upset about something because I was on my period! She continually tried to negate the hard work I did in individual therapy. She would say things like you are being unfair to your husband bringing up issues after he has has a long day because he works full time and you do not. I could go on but I think that is sufficient. Please do not go to this person if you have any past trauma issues creating problems in your life. Her website sounds like she knows how to handle those situations, however, she has no clue. She did a tremendous amount of harm in my personal progress. She continually chose to make biased and unprofessional comments even after I pointed them out. My individual therapist even spoke with her and got the same impression, even after consulting with colleagues that are couples therapist to make sure, my therapist told me her colleagues commented on the unprofessionalism that I experienced. I thought I did the proper research and made a solid choice but it became very clear very quickly that she had her own very specific opinions and little interest in figuring out how to help me and my husband in our marriage. We survived, no thanks to this counselor.
