Shelly is passionate about what she does and that is reflected in the amazing job she does with her students! She is meticulous about staying up to date on the college trends and specifics for each college. Each year brings something new to the application process, but Shelly is always prepared. And the best is that Shelly “gets” teenagers, she earns their trust, asks the right questions about their futures and helps them find their path to the perfect school! And she cares deeply about each client she works with! We were fortunate to have two kids work with Shelly…she took away the stress and allowed us to be supportive parents vs us having to badger our kids. Shelly is simply the best!

Shelley is wonderful. While easy to connect with and fun to talk to, she holds vast knowledge about colleges and universities as well as about the application process. My son was able to feel inspired and motivated by Shelley to dive fully into the college process. He found a great University, got in and is thrilled. Additionally, he really learned how to be self accountable for the process. We appreciated every moment of working with Shelley.

We absolutely loved working with Shelly! Shelly has a heart of gold and truly cares about all of the high-schoolers she is working with. She made the overwhelming college application process smooth by guiding our son through the process in a phased approach. There were no stressful late nights during the process because Shelly paced the effort so beautifully. Ms. Shelly Humbach single handedly found me the school of my dreams. After a thorough evaluation of my goals and values, she worked tirelessly to find colleges that aligned with a vision that I didnt even know I had. I fell in love with the University of Miami, a school I had never given one thought, in a state that I had never considered living in. She opened my eyes, as well as the eyes of my family, to a country full of possibilities then assisted us in narrowing it down to the schools that would offer me only what I wanted and more. She then preceded to assist me and guide me through the process of applying, waited anxiously along with me, and then celebrated with me and shared in my excitement when I got accepted. I am now a sophomore at my dream school, a school I never would have researched, visited, or applied to had it not been for Ms. Shelly.

My daughter and I enjoyed working with Shelly. Alex was interested in majoring in Biology and Shelly helped her find schools that had strong science programs. She also was very effective in advising which schools were likely to offer my Alex merit scholarships.

Shelly Humbach is not only knowledgeable, she speaks teen. The hardest part about the college process is that your teen needs to do this on their own, and they dont have the tools to do so. Of course, they will NOT listen to you as the parent. Shelly bridges that gap in a brilliant way. Write the check. You will be so glad you did!

I don’t know what I’d do without Shelly!! I know very little about colleges or the process of applying. As an only parent of four teens, college searches just felt overwhelming until I met Shelly. She helped navigate my oldest son who just graduated high school and is off to college in the fall. And now she is helping my daughter who will be a senior this fall. She has taken so much stress off of me that I’m forever grateful for her.

Hiring Shelly to work with our son was one of the smartest parenting moves we have ever made. Like many other parents, we thought our sons amazing test scores, exceptional GPA and high school accomplishments were all that was needed but that is not how college works anymore.
