They were supposed be open but no one would answer the phone or open the door when I rang the bell.

Very pleased with our experience renting a U-Haul truck from the Lisle location. The price was reasonable and I was pleasantly surprised with how much we could fit in the 10 foot one. I would definitely rent from them again.

The U-Haul application for self service was a complete failure. First, I want to make it clear that the staff at U-Stor-It Self Storage at 2100 Ogden Ave, Lisle, IL 60532 has 5 stars! The staff had to assist me as the U-Haul Self Service application on my phone was a complete failure. I give the U-Haul Self-Service phone app 1 star. The staff get 5 starts for being very friendly and courteous for working with me on my reservation. Well in advance of my reservation time for pick up, I went through the entire U-Haul process of ensuring my account was ready for Self-Service online rental. When I arrived at the U-Store-It, I launched the app and began the process of identification with my photo and drivers license, located my rental vehicle and then submitted for U-Haul agent review. The app responded with that a U-Haul agent was reviewing my rental qualifications. There was a prompt that I was able to send a message to an agent. I waited 20 minutes after no movement, I sent a message and no response. I waited another 10 minutes and sent another message with no response. After 35 minutes I decided to go inside the U-Stor-It office in which they worked on my rental reservation and completed it in 5 minutes. My recommendation is do not use the Self Service app and use the in store agents to rent.

Do not use U-Haul unless you want no control over your move, when and where a truck will be available for you and then dealing with lying employees. We called the direct u haul number so that we would be ensured a truck would be available on the specific day we needed it. Booking on line gave us locations 20 miles away.The gal on the phone assured us the truck would be in Downers Grove. Early the day of the move we called and it was no longer in Downers Grove, which was NOT our first choice to even begin with. It was now even farther west from where we were, adding more mileage costs.We asked for a credit for the miles and after spending over an hour on all of this on the phone, were told they would give it on the bill when it was emailed. Guess what - no credit and now they are saying there will be no credit. What a scam.
