My sons car flooded out from the flash flood from IDA and we had to rent car while Geico is settling the claim. My wife and son went to pick up the vehicle and the assistant manager Matt insisted on having the damage waiver included. He gave them the impression that this can be cancelled anytime including by sending an email. As my wife and son never rented a car before, they said Matt to send the email to me for review and gave my email address. Once I was told about it, I felt it was not needed, and wanted to cancel it. I waited for the email which never came. I called them few times, Matt was not available. Finally, my wife had to go there expressed the concerns. As my wife was not able to see Matt, I felt they may not address it. I saw Matt when returning the vehicle. When I expressed my concerns, he denied about email cancelling. When I asked about not receiving the agreement in the email, he checked and found out he sent to a wrong address. He found my correct email and sent the contract on the spot. When I reviewed the invoice, I see he charged waiver damage for the first week for $107.00. When I requested for a refund, he said it was a signed contract and cant be changed. The most he could offer me was a gas credit which I refused.I strongly think it was completely unethical. They failed to send the agreement to correct email, and now penalizing me for it?I would like the owner of the business have the fund refunded and train the staff to stop any unethical practices. I am a business owner and I understand the value of reputation.

Ive rented from Enterprise numerous times over the years and twice at this location. Based on my recent experience at this Lidenhurst location and the response (or lack thereof) from Enterprise, I strongly recommend potential customers take their business elsewhere. Here is a summary of my experience and why I would never recommend Enterprise of Lindenhurst or Enterprise as a company:Back on 8/23/21, I made a four day reservation (9/16 - 9/20) for a Midsize SUV to travel to Lake Placid, NY. When I booked, I utilized a Perk Spot discount (~10%) for which Im eligible through my employer. When a friend and I arrived at the location to pickup the vehicle, Management Trainee Alissha Outlaw assisted me at the front desk. After doing what she needed to in the computer, Alissha took us outside to show the vehicle and handover the keys. As we approached the car I immediately noticed it was a Compact SUV (a Nissan Kick) and not the Midsize SUV I had reserved. Before I had a chance to say anything, Alissha proceeded to tell me this vehicle was an upgrade and normally would cost $38 more than I had reserved the vehicle for on the Enterpriser site. As you can imagine, I was confused because she was supposedly upgrading me to the smallest class of SUV possible when I had reserved a larger SUV. I advised Ms. Outlaw that I had reserved a Midsize SUV. Inexplicably, Alissha told me the Nissan Kick was indeed an Intermediate SUV, which was the same as a Midsize SUV. I advised Alissha she was wrong and that the vehicle she was attempting to give me was a Compact SUV. She then advised this was the only vehicle they currently had available apart from a larger SUV (a Fullsize SUV) that was receiving an oil change at the moment. I told Alissha I wasnt happy but was willing to take the Compact SUV, if they lowered the price since I had paid for a Midsize SUV. I also told her Id be willing to take the larger SUV (with higher fuel costs) at the same price as the Midsize SUV I had reserved, since it wasnt my fault they didnt have it available. While my friend and I waited outside, Alissha went inside to advise the Assistant Manager Matt Macaluso of the situation.As Matt approached me outside, his attitude made it clear he had no intention of making the situation right or providing good customer service. Matt proceeded to tell me the same lie that Alissha had (with a bad attitude and horrible tone), as he also tried to present the Nissan Kick as an Intermediate SUV. After we returned to the front desk, I showed Matt the reservation details that had been emailed to me but he continued to push the same lie. It was so hard for me to believe what he was doing, that I started to assume he was just honestly mistaken. To that end, I pulled up the Enterprise website on my phone and started going through the reservation process so the vehicle options would be displayed. Of course, Enterprises own site showed the Nissan Kick was a Compact SUV. When I attempted to show Matt my phone, he snapped and told me to leave the store because he wasnt going to rent me a car today. All because he didnt like being called on his BS bait & switch tactics. At no point did I curse, raise my voice or behave disrespectfully. After this, my friend and I left the office and I called the Enterprise toll free #.The escalation team expressed shock after I explained the situation/my experience and advised a local manager would call me back asap to make it right. I waited a few hours and made a couple more calls but no manager callback. I even posted my issue on Twitter, which prompted Enterprise to respond right away by asking me to DM them my confirmation # (which I did). Well its been 5 days and I still no callback from anyone at Enterprise. Im not sure how much blame Alissha deserves, as she obviously takes direction from bad local management. Matt on the other hand, should be relieved of his duties.Racisit? Maybe. Unknowledgeable? Maybe. Unprofessional and Untrustworthy? Definitely. RENT FROM A DIFFERENT LOCATION/COMPANY!
Unprofessional customer service. I was not greeted upon arrival. I waited 45 min to depart because the car required detailing and refueling. My credit card was charged without the agent confirming the charges with me. Due to the delay, I was advised my return window would be extended and upon returning the car, I was charged for an additional hour. Enterprise did not honor my extension that the agent told me I would receive. It is not about the money, it is the principal of the situation. I did not have a pleasant experience and that was the least they could have done to leave me satisfied. I refueled the car with more gas than I departed with. They have lost a returning customer. I’m beginning to think they treated me like this because of the color of my skin. They don’t care about retaining my business and didn’t do anything to make me feel comfortable during the entire transaction. The worst I have ever been through with Enterprise, please do better for your future clients.
Awful experience. Would give NO stars if review would let me. Was unable to rent a car from this location because my PSEG wasnt paid in full, even though its never been paid in full in the past and I was still permitted to rent. What a way to treat a repeat customer. New guy helped me. Im sure the others from the past wouldve rented to me like always. I asked if I could pay PSEG and then use my debit card and he said no. That it wouldnt be good for this rental but a future one. He couldve overrode all of this if he wanted. He then had the nerve to say it looks like it wont happening this time, but maybe they can help me out in the future as if Id ever go back.This caused a lot of havoc and a lot of last minute scrambling. Needless to say we will not be returning

These guys are the best around. my car was struck by an `18 wheeler while it was parked causing significant damage. the guys at this location hooked me up with a rental for 45 days and even covered an extra day no charge when the insurance stopped paying for the rental i didnt have to pay anything the guys that work here are top notch

Only Branch I Will EVER Use. Samantha and Jenn Are The Only Two I Ever Work With When It Comes To A Rental And Each And Every-time Those Two Have Gone Way Above And Beyond For Me Whether It Be Taking Half The Cost Of My Deposit Or Upgrading Me To A Bigger Vehicle Like An SUV or Pickup Truck When I Was Only Covered For A Small Car. Also Samantha Listens When I Tell Her About An Issue And She Is Right On Top Of It Making Sure Its Handled Properly.
Excellent experience. The office staff was friendly, professional and did a fine job at both ends of the transaction; we were given an upgrade at the lower price. The larger vehicle made the trip more enjoyable for my 2 tall sons (both six feet three).
I recently had to rent a car from Enterprise. My car was being repaired at a collision place . A representative from Enterprise brought a car to the repair facility. She had me out in a timely fashion. When my car was done I was able to leave the car at the collision place and everything was taken care of for my return of the lease. I highly recommend Enterprise for renting a car.

The staff did NOT state that this was a 24 hr billing cycle when car was purchased/picked up. They charged me for a full extra day which is completely inappropriate when I returned the car prior to closing the day it was due. I will never use this company again due to their shadyness of not explaining nor rectifying this.
Enterprise has been so accommodating foreverything. We rented a cargo van and they made it happen. We rented a one way vehicle and they made it happen. I am impressed with the way they handle themselves. Thank you.

I went to the west Islip n.y. location to pick-up a car for a 2 week rental . I also had a 3 week rental with a different class car. I wanted to combine the rental and keep the same car which I thought was a reasonable request considering I was renting for over a month. no dice the agent said you have to take the compact and there was only 1 car. the car had a cracked windshield so I would have to bring it back and switch cars instead of giving me another car which there were on the lot. I went to another location and picked up a car no problem . I wasted my entire day and booked a 3 week rental at hertz enterprise wont ever get any of my business again
Rented the car at about 12:30 noon and it was brought back the next day just after 1PM in my book this is about 25 hours. The staff charged me for 2 days and included the extra charge for sales tax, rental tax, and insurance. I told the girl well if you are going to charge me a whole day for that extra hour, i will take the car and return it at 12:30 tomorrow, they would not allow it. I was a member of their club, but intend to close. VERY disappointed with their way of doing business.

DISHONEST AGENTS. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. They are trying to steal your money the moment you gave them your credit card. I Came to this place refer by the insurance company first thing is you pay $250 “refundable” deposit but when I returned the rental car which was 100% covered by insurance, and I was charged $144.75. I called them and was told by Antonio that I upgraded to Toyota Camry and I explained that the agent who took care of me at first assure me that I was not going to pay more for that car and that he was going to give it to me for same price. Antonio said he was going to check and get back to me during the weekend, this was two weeks ago and I still didn’t get a phone call back and I didn’t even get a receipt with explanation of charges yet.. DISHONEST people don’t use this place there are plenty of other Enterprise rent-a-car places

Horrible experience. Be very careful. I never write reviews but felt the need to worn unsuspecting customers. Charged my credit card $500 when my insurance company covered all costs. Then refused to refund my money. The manager SAMANTHA was the worst part of it all. She provided HORRIBLE customer service and LIED about everything. It took almost a month of calling, being placed on hold for more than 15 minutes at a time, and finally getting a third party involved to resolve the issue and get reimbursed! DO NOT USE THEM.

DISHONEST AGENTS. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. They are trying to steal your money the moment you gave them your credit card. I returned the COMPACT car(Nissan Sentra) on Jan 27, which was 100% covered by G-company insurance, and I was charged $91.70. I called them and was told that I upgraded to SUV. Nissan Sentra is classified as SUV??? I clarified that what I got was a Nissan Sentra, and he changed the reason to The insurance company only covers the charges to Jan 25 and waiting for the approval of extension to Jan 27th. By the way, the insurance company agreed the extension on Jan 24. Should I even be charged while they are waiting for approval? There are a lot of other Enterprise-rent-a-car shops, call them and they will provide you better service.
Worst place ever, I do not want to blame all of Enterprise, but I would definitely avoid Lindenhurst location. If I could give give 0 stars I would. The costumer service at this specific location namely Frankie, and the manager, could not have been more helpful. We had a family emergency and they were more than accommodating. They had a large vehicle available and made sure that it was held for us. We are extremely grateful for all they did for us and will always use the lindenhurst location for future car rentals. I wish I could give no stars! My car was in a no fault accident and geico covered everything for me. I DID NOT take out additional insurance for the rental. Only had the rental for about a week and then my car was fixed. After 10 days of getting my car back, they charged my card 162.09 for additional insurance. I called the company and spoke to SAMANTHA. When I spoke to her she has no manners, no respect at all when speaking, told me flat out its non refundable even if I didnt ask for it and then hung up on me. She refused to help at all and just brushed me off. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. they will try and sneak more money out of you any way they can! Thiefs and dishonest. Ive already contacted their corporate and will be filing a complaint to BBB. Scammers big time. Ive read some of the reviews before me and apparently Im not the only one that was scammed by Samantha. Watch out.

I dropped off my rent a car on 10/30/17 and to my disappointment there was no one there from Enterprise to check out the car. An employee from the Auto Repair shop picked up my keys and said There is no one here from Enterprise to help you with any questions or concerns about the carIn addition, I received my bill via email and they charged me an extra day.I have used Enterprise many times and I never had a complaint. This time they were sloppy. My advice to everyone is check your bill so this doesnt happen to you, I guess they only care about giving good customer service when you pick up the car not when you drop it off.

I usually make my reservation online and then go in to pick up the car. It cant be any easier. They also have the nicest people working here.
They are very unprofessional and unorganized. The vehicle they gave me had not been serviced in months. They Charged my credit card over $2,200 dollars when it was supposed to get billed directly to insurance company and lied saying they would send it to them in the first place. Took over a month to get the 2,000 refunded to my credit card then 2 more months to get final $200. Went there 3 times and received 3 different answers from 3 different people. If need a rental car do yourself a favor and just use another rental company to avoid the hassle with the poorly runned rental company.
I had booked an intermediate category car for the weekend, and when I went to the office to pick it up, I was offered an update to Sentefe and then I was given even a better SUV, 2019 VW ATLAS V6 SE, this was a perfect fit for my family since we had 3 kids who were very comfortable in the back, Thank You enterprise and the wonderful Staff that helped me with this upgrade.I am looking forward to my future bookings with Enterprise only and specially the Lindenhurst location.
This location helped me out as we had a very strange situation and the location the I had dealt with in Amityville wouldnt help at all. From now on I will only deal with the Lindenhurst location
All who assisted me were friendly. They even stayed open for me when I was running late to pick up the rental. Enterprise in Lindenhurst made my first car rental experience easy and stress free. However I still have not recieved my refund and I returned the car well over a week ago.

She fitted the vehicle to our needs and made our trip a pleasure. She was very patient and accomodating. And, she picked me up and dropped me off on time all with a smile. The customer service I received (rather the lack there of) made me feel as if my business was not welcome there. This was my second time visiting this location and both times I was made to feel as if I walked in to scam them out of a rental. I have rented from other locations and have never been treated the way I was treated at the Lindenhurst location. I was hugely inconvenienced and left there feeling very uneasy.The young man made zero attempts to accommodate me and it really bothered me that when I called customer service to verify what documents he could use to verify my info, There were documents on the list that I gave to him and he refused. I understand that every business has policies and procedures to follow but said things need to be made clear to patrons and EMPLOYEES as well. Enterprise has always been my first choice but due to how I was treated I chose to take my business and money elsewhere.Over 2 hours there and left with no rental over an hour away from home after being told I couldnt use a card that I have always used to rent from them. Left feeling dissatisfied & extremely disappointed with how things were handled.

Dissapointed in the service. I spoke about an upgrade which I had worked on for 4 days. An employee by the name of Matt stated he would accomdate me by providing a Camaro. The vehicle was in the lot, he gives me a call, states to come pick it up in which I did immediately. As I arrive they are giving the keys to someone else.I asked if that was the same Camaro they had on reserve for me, they state it was. The employee I was speaking with took the day off and I was put into a dogferent vehicle that was stained with the smell of smoke.I appreciate them trying to work with me, but the lack of communication between the representatives leaves a bad impression with me. This is my first time using enterprise and I was unhappy with the experience. This is just my opinion and im sure they have quality service but I was heavily inconvenienced.

Very disappointed as I have used them in the past previously and never had an issue. My last experience with them unfortunately we were in a car accident with the rental vehicle and we have been trying to get information regarding their insurance and claims department and they have sent me on a chase contacting different numbers and when I reached their insurance company they guy was so rude and stated he could not disclose any information as their was no claim when my accident was over a month ago. He then hung up on me after a nasty comment. Very rude, unprofessional and very unorganized.
