I owe Goodson Realty an apology! Actually great company just a bad really dumb ( on my part) misunderstanding.

I believe this company discriminates against service/support animals over a certain size. I do NOT recommend this company to my clients or anyone needing a short-term or long-term lease. Very unethical.

If renting 414 N Grove St, Id make sure they cleaned all the mold up in the kitchen walls, who knows how long that was like that as we stayed there for 2yrs 🤦‍♂️ . Still havent been offered my deposit back, 900$, and screwed us out of another rental they had and then screwed us out of another companies rental, Other reality comp said ow we know them so good 🤣😂 👍 Becouse we called them out on screwing us and just made the rules up as they went SMH Ill leave the rest to Jesus to handle ✝️

What a wonderful experience! The best I have ever had in a thirty year history of rentals. Malinda and her staff are friendly and efficient. The neighborhood on Crossover Drive is quiet and well maintained, the grass is always neat and trimmed. Maintenance is spot on. Quick and friendly, alwyas a smile and a wave when I saw them in the neighborhood. My duplex was absolutely immaculate upon move in. I would recommend Goodson to anyone looking for a rental.

This review is in response to a review posted by John Mitchell. I have worked with Malinda Goodson for over fifteen years as a property owner and I have continued my relationship with her firm based on her integrity and her professionalism and unbiased judgments when dealing with owners and tenants.The property John Mitchell is referring to had no preexisting issues. We have a checklist and ensure everything is in working order when the tenants move in the property. When he moved out we had to replace two complete bathtub fixtures and bathroom sink features. He did not call and complain about any repairs that had to be made to plumbing. Someone attempted to repair one of the bathtub fixture stems and broke them off then tried to repair it themselves and used the wrong fixtures and parts. If he would have called to have a plumber check everything out, this would not have created additional work and frustration for the owner and tenant. In addition, when light fixtures and household essentials are taken from the property they still have to be replaced. When security storm doors are broken they have to be repaired. When floors are damaged by tenants they still have to be repaired. We always take photos before tenants move into the properties.I kept the rental rates lower for a long time and I could have chosen to raise the rent but I did that because the tenants had to endure a few hot days when the HVAC which was old, had to be repaired.Malinda Goodson is fair and she makes sure the owner has the properties clean, and functional and she has a maintenance crew that does a professional job on their calls. In closing, Malinda does not lease the properties until they are prepared and in good shape. I would encourage any property owner or tenant looking to lease from her agency to give her an opportunity to better serve their needs. I highly recommend her agency without any reservations.

I have had no issues with Goodson Realty. They are always polite and easy to deal with. It an issue has arisen with my home, they have had someone there the next day, if not the same day. I would recommend them to an future tenant.

Rented an apartment from Goodson Realty for over two years. Never had any issues with anything. Even when I contacted them about a broken water heater it was promptly replaced the next day. Would recommend them if you need an apartment. Good people.

Goodson Realty is a great company to rent from. They are quick to fix any problems that arise (plumbing leak... ac on fritz, etc). They are also super friendly and professional.

Decent properties, relatively painless while renting. Unfortunately they did charge us when moving out for multiple pre-existing issues so that they could avoid returning most of the deposit.

Apartment was waaayyy overpriced. After leasing for 1 year they upped the rent. Outdated apartments with no regular maintenance. Just this month I’ve called over a dozen times to have them come out and fix the same issues. Power randomly cutting off, toilets constantly running, hot water heater breaking. The maintenance guy will come by and try to do a simple fix like flip the breaker without addressing the actual issue; so then a week or two later it breaks again. Ridiculous. Will NEVER rent from them again.UPDATED: I can assure you I am currently renting/living in one of the properties owned by Goodson. The name stated above is of my first and middle. Not first and last. When I signed my lease with the realty I obviously used first and last. (:

Have been a client for over 4 years and have had nothing but good experiences. When issues have come up they have handled promptly. I would recommend them to others.

I used to think highly of the Company but not anymore. They do not care about the renters or whats right and whats wrong. I will say I lived in the house 523 Bonview Ave in Lincolnton. When we moved out we made sure it was clean. But I admit the carpet needed to be cleaned, which carpet should always be cleaned between renters anyway. Our security deposit was deducted for minor things. Like the carpet (again should be cleaned anyway), a dirty oven, and dirty baseboards.. Which is not dirt. ITS MOLD. The front bedroom has a mold issue. I had to clean those baseboards every month from mold. An issue the previous renters also had with the house. We were also deducted for them having to remove 14 media shelves from the basement. We couldnt remove them because the day we moved out, the basement had flooded from the rain. We even called Goodson Realty and told them we were out $400+ and could not get them out and they were ruined. Even tho we were told by the home owner himself we could store things there, Goodson Realty ridiculed us for doing so. There was a tear in the back bathroom flooring. Instead of them pulling up the old linoleum before putting new down, they just laid the new on top of the old and it never stayed in place and curled up around the edges around the baseboard. This caused it to gather in spots and its how it got ripped. We were also deducted for a dirty fireplace. We never used the fireplace, not once. The gas for it was never hooked up. So the way it was when we left it, is how it was when we moved in. I admit, we did forget to clean the oven but the rest of the house was clean. I wasnt expecting to get all of our deposit back, but they took way more than I feel they should have. Also be warned. There are plumbing issues. They have been told by TWO plumbing companies (before we even moved in) the house plumbing needs updating. The pipes are old and galvanized. When we had issues and the plumbing company came out, the company even told us then the homeowner and realty company have been told prior to us moving in that it needed new plumbing. Just be careful when you rent from anywhere.As you can see by the pictures, we cleaned the house and did not leave a mess of any kind. And they kept WAY more of our depsoit than they should have. GREEDY is what they are.PS: whatever your rent payment or if this house sells, mortgage payment is, go ahead and plan on adding $300-$400 each month for a power bill. Even when we left the thermostat at 72/73 during the summer. This house has zero insulation.

These people are crooks.! We looked at property, filled out a application paid them a 70 dollars for the application. Before I got 5 mins down the road they text and say they cant rent to you.. These people are thieves please go elsewhere

I have Leased an Apartment and a House from Goodson Realty and Currently Live in the House the Apartment was on Janice RD and did not have any Problem with Goodson Realty Malinda Goodson Responded the Same Day I had the Problem being Air Condition and it was Fixed same Day Both Times and More than a Year Later I again Needed a Place to Live and Found the House I Live now that also is with Malinda and Goodson Realty and any Question that came Up Malinda or some one has Answered My Questions the Same Day so they are 5 Stars for MeBill Rudisill
