Met with owner. Bad mouthed a trainer i had in past and said he was actively trying to get a Lincoln Lutheran contract away from him. Ignored the comment still joined.First session, not one single person introduced themselves to me including his “manager.” Second session, i asked a question and received a snarky response from another member. I did email owner and told him about poor experience and was not interested in continuing member. No response (you can ignore this comment as well). Reading other “real” reviews and his comments to them I know I’m not missing out on anything besides maybe some gaslighting.Trainer was a young male who was nice. From past training experience, I feel confident he was not properly trained in HIIT and had a simple ACE certification.I was going to let it go...I rarely post reviews but their ads are beyond comical.
I’ve been at F4L for 3 years. I left for a brief period after having a baby and was trying to do my own workouts. I knew I had to come back because what I was missing was the accountability and the gym itself! I love the fast paced workouts but really the ability to meet you where you are. I was much slower returning after having my child but I never felt out of place. One of the biggest reasons I’ve chosen here over any other gym is it’s a no thought no hassle workout. Trainers set the workout and walk you through and are there for questions or corrections!
This is a great place to help you on your health/fitness/weightloss journey. If my work allowed it I would do the 10 am workouts as the trainer Brooke is amazing, however they all are great. What I personally love is that they want to see you succeed, check in on you, and motivate you.
I cant express how grateful I am for this gym! Coming in I was super nervous about the bootcamp style and working out in a group of people. Little did I know that one month later I would not only be down 10 pounds but I would also have a whole gym family filled with support! I love the classes no two are the same and they are so much fun! The trainers are amazing and will modify any movement or replace an exercise you cant do during the workout. The also care about your recovery and offer their help wherever needed. Management is amazing, they check in and make sure youre doing good with not only your nutrition, but youre mental health as well. I came in just hoping to lose weight but I gained the friendships, support and self confidence that I was missing the most! Oh and a lot of muscle from their cage (weight lifting) program! I love fit4lincoln!
Love this gym! The members help to push you during your workouts. The owner and trainers make you feel like family!
Signed up with two of my 20 something kids---super fun fast workouts! and effective! They do a great job of making you feel welcome and yet hold you accountable for showing up. Very positive environment and yet they do push you to do your best! The 6 week challenge is a great way to start.
If youre looking for small gym with personalized attention, Fit4Lincoln is it!! LOVE the trainers. They hold you accountable for your goals, push you to work harder during each session & schedule nutrition consults to make sure you are striving to be your best!Best place to work hard & feel better! Invest in yourself, Thanks Brook!
The Fitness Coaches at Fit4Lincoln are great. They are knowledgeable and professional. The programming that was prepared for me helped me to clear up an old injury and after that it was smooth sailing. I highly recommend this company...5 Stars!
Top notch people and a great workout!
Wonderful staff that encourage and support the journey you are on. The atmosphere is very family oriented.. everyone is cheering on each other !! Great workouts that you can modify and go at your own pace and also push yourself to do even more . Love the 30 minute time frame !
Great gym! The staff is very friendly. They check up on you during your time with them.
Overall, this is a great gym. The owner and trainers really care about their clients. I feel very welcome and made friends almost immediately! I like that the owners give back to the community with a charity of the month. Each trainer is very knowledgeable regarding proper form, modifications, and nutrition. I am very glad I joined!
Over all Im blown away with the progress Ive made at Fit4Lincoln. In 2 months Ive lost almost 20lb and I did it with a steady work out regimen and dite tips that didnt involve werid trends or meal replacement shakes. They lay it out in front of you simply, if you can do can do A, B, and C you will see progress and I did. Never having a lot of experience in exercising before, other then half hearted attempts, I can honestly say I mad at how easy this was. I recomend Matt and his team highly.
I went in for the consult for a 6 week free bootcamp. Went in, weigh you, talk about goals, and how great it is. etc.... sounded awesome. But then they give the contract and it gives the option of paying $599 NOW for the 6 weeks (credit of $200 IF you lose 20# or 5% body fat.. and the leftover goes towards a full membership) or $42 A WEEK for 52 weeks (aka $2,184 for a YEAR). Nothing is free. But for a lot of people are not going to be able to drop $600 in one day, let alone $2,200 for a year. That $600 could get a single person a YMCA membership for a year. Or $120 for a year at Blue Moon or Planet Fitness.Upon completing the program, people are required to give a 5 star reviews are because that is what is required when you sign the contract. I wish I had kept it so I could upload a copy of it.Its okay if they choose to charge those prices, but they should be more upfront about the cost, mandatory 5 star review, etc.
Best bootcamp training center in Lincoln
Fit4Lincoln was great! This is the best workout experience Ive had! Ive never been able to reach my weight loss goals on my own, the trainers were with me through my entire journey, helping me lose 15lbs, 6% body fat and several inches with their 6week program!
Great facility! It’s always clean and the environment has GREAT ENERGY! Great trainers! And they workouts are really challenging but you feel great! And they have a really nice community!
I was really excited to join this program, but when I expressed concern about being texted at 10pm and how often he messaged me to confirm our consultation, i was told i wouldnt be a good fit if I wasnt ready to be hands on. When I didnt reply I got a follow up text of ?? an hour and a half later, mind you I have been driving and running errands on one of my 2 days off trying to get things done around my house etc and Im being questioned still about showing up. I hadnt even joined yet but I had confirmed multiple times I would be there. I didnt mean any disrespect and he (the owner) then told me I wouldnt be a good fit for the program if I wasnt comfortable being hands on. Im not sure why hands on has to be at 10pm, but I will be giving my time and money to a different local company. I only gave this a two-star rating when it should be one, because I genuinely was excited to join this.
Just finished week 3 of the 6 week challenge & I am pleased with my results. The meal plan is easy to follow & has really allowed me to focus on improving my nutrition, which was were I really need an extra push. Trainers have been great for giving tips & guidance along the way.
Everyone has been great from day one. I have tried many gyms and not to down play any of them as some gyms work better for others, F4L just works better for me. I felt comfortable from the first day I walked through the doors. The exercises are never boring, and the trainers always help to modify the exercises for beginners like myself. I will always recommend F4L to anyone.
They have totally changed my life!!!!! From my eating habits to my attitude they gave me all the tools and support!
I personally like Fit4lincoln because they have a comprehensive approach to weight loss that is not just working out. Working out is just part of the puzzle. They also help you with a nutrition plan and have weekly measurements to keep you accountable. Accountability is huge for me for success with weight loss. The workouts are great and they maximize every bit of thirty minutes. They have a variety of times you can come in to make it work for your schedule too. Matt and his staff are very welcoming, supportive, and truly want to see your success. I wouldn’t be surprised if you made some new friends too! Hope to see you at Fit4lincoln!
Love this gym! I was never a huge fan of the class or group workouts but Im so happy I decided to sign up. The staff are all amazing and really push you to be the best version of you. Love it!
Ive been here for two months and enjoyed every workout. I was a bit intimidated when I started but that very quickly changed thanks to the trainers. They are welcoming, very helpful, and push you to do your best. The encouraging atmosphere combined with challenging workouts make for a fun exercising experience.
During this whole covid thing going on, Ive been trying to stay socially distant as much as possible. They make it so easy by posting workouts everyday so that I could follow along.
This gym has totally changed my negative opinion of gyms! Ive been taking classes for a week and Im so motivated by the trainers and with the community. Im already feeling stronger and more confident so I cant wait to see the results after 21 days! Walker is such a great group trainer, and I felt completely welcomed and comfortable with Chris at orientation. These guys are awesome. I love coming to classes every day!!!
The staff here is amazing and they really push you to do your very best. In 6 weeks I lost 6.2% and a total of 26 pounds of fat! They give great nutrition advice and their exercise classes are different and challenging every time! I highly recommend it!
Very dedicated ownership and management team!! Trainers are amazing!!
I started bootcamp here a week ago and have loved it the whole time. You never need to find a partner for any of the exercises, which is awesome if youre shy like I am. Every exercise is demonstrated thoroughly and the instructors assist you with them during class as well. My energy level has improved greatly. I highly recommend joining.
Incredible environment, amazing trainers, and I really felt at home. I highly recommend the boot camps. Matt you really know your stuff 👏🙏
I had been struggling to a program that worked for me, when a friend recommended Fit4Lincoln. The atmosphere is intimate and comfortable. Everyone instantly made me feel welcome. Having an instructor present to guide you through every work out makes a huge difference! I am seeing better results than I have in the past two years! The workouts are perfect because you can go at your own speed while still feeling pushed to excel. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is feeling stuck in their fitness goals or feels overwhelmed by idea of working out again, I promise this program is for you!
Honestly, if it werent for this program, i would still be sitting on the couch stuffing my face with junk food. I just finished my fourth week of the six week program, and i am down 15.5 lbs and 5.6% body fat. AND i still have 2 more weeks to go to meet my challenge goal. All in all, this program works. You have to stay committed to your diet for this to work though, since the diet accounts for 80% of your success when losing weight. Thank you to all the trainers at Fit4Lincoln for kicking my butt into gear.
Today is the last day of my fit body boot amp challenge here at Fit4Lincoln. Im writing this review to tell you all that this program actually works. Ive seen real results. As of today I have lost a total of 17 pounds and 4 percent body fat. Ive also gained 5 pounds of muscle. I couldnt be happier. I want to thank my trainers. Who without them I would not have been able to push myself to do this. More importantly I want to thank Matt, the owner. If it wasnt for his persistence in trying to get me to do the 6 week challenge I never would have done it. No matter how many times I dodged his phone calls/emails/ texts he never gave up on me. Because of his annoying persistence I finally agreed to the challenge. I am so happy I did. I have struggled with my weight and low energy levels my whole life. Thanks to the people at Fit4Lincoln those things that kept me down are no longer going to do that.
Went in for the 6 week Challenge! Signed up and it was the best decision ever. If you are serious about making a healthy lifestyle this is the program for you. Best gym ever
Only been here a couple of times and i love it! I have been off and on for years between boot camps, and self training in the gym. I have to say i love boot camps way more. Fit for Lincoln is awesome!! Quick, fast pace classes, results, and great coaching!
Great place. Amazing, genuine people, killer trainers. (In the good way 😜) For reals, you are missing out if you haven’t been here yet!
Great place with great coaches, they help anyway they can to make sure you get the best experience. I am loving going in the morning s and feeling accomplished. 😀
They do great boot camps at convenient times. Theyre usually 30 minutes long so you can sneak a great workout in, or do two in a row. Locally owned. Great people.
This is a very fun and welcoming environment. The trainers show you how to do everything before you get started, and are great at helping you make modifications if you need to. The variety of class times, two locations, and the 30 minute workout combining strength and cardio makes is easy to get a great workout in! This is an awesome way to start my day!
This is a GREAT gym! Its really more than that, the trainers are awesome and make sure everyone is comfortable with the workout. Also, they have created a sense of community amongst the clients which is a huge plus.
Great little gym with a family atmosphere and amazing instructors! Love this place!
This place is amazing! World class training, nutrition, and accountability are second to none, but the family atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. Do yourself a favor and check them out!
I have had a great experience! I love that the workouts are 25 minutes and they always have you doing something different each workout. All of the coaches are great! I would highly recommend.
Fit4Lincoln has a system combining nutrition guidance with high intensity short workouts that is convenient and easy to follow. Combined with friendly, energetic coaches that are easy to approach ... Ive only been through one week so far and already feeling like Im headed toward some of the best results yet of all the gyms and systems Ive tried.
I would recommend Fit4Lincoln to everyone. Matt and all of the coaches are encouraging and very supportive. Go check out the gym, you will love it!!
I was a victim of their social media scam!I was registered to be apart of the “free”class for 6 weeks. However, I showed up exactly 6 minutes late and my with my husband (as he wanted to support me). I was told to “reschedule” and even though we pulled up and I saw the trainer watching us walk in he darted off into his “orientation room” (blinds closed AND one car in the lot !when we walked in.Either:1. I didn’t have enough weight to lose to make him a 5 star trainer2. My husband’s presence was intimidating.3. He is just rude.Had he waited 1 minute he would know;1. We just moved to Lincoln and are still new to the area. It’s not like we were intentionally late, it was a hole in the wall and we spent the last 10 minutes of our time trying to figure out where the location was.2. We were waiting for our sitter to arrive. So not only did I pay for a sitter but my hopes of getting back into shape were crushed.Upon reading the reviews below now:I had asked, when I confirmed my appt. if this was absolutely free. I was told yes! So...I assume my questioning the owner/trainer was intimidating and even though I hired a sitter and rearranged my schedule, the fact that I’m not “gullible” was intimidating enough for them to shun me away. I would avoid this place like the plague. Total rip off and scam!!
Ive been a member at Fit4Lincoln for almost 2 years. Ive lost 25 lbs since joining, but more importantly gained self confidence I never thought Id have again after having kids.I love the smaller, more intimate atmosphere at Fit4Lincoln and look forward to going to the classes. Going to class feels more like getting together with friends to do something I enjoy rather than going to a big generic gym where you are lost in the crowd. The members have a wide range of experience and ability, so its not intimidating for a person who is just starting out.Matt and Jackie are great trainers who are very knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition. Matt provides motivation and accountability, teaches us proper techniques, and switches it up enough to keep us challenged. The classes provide a perfect blend of cardio and strength training. The 30 minute classes are available in both the morning and evening, so it makes it easy to fit it into my busy schedule.I would highly recommend Fit4Lincoln!
I never thought I would like to train in a gym but Fit4Lincoln has completely changed my mind and transformed my body and my eating habits!! The coaches and staff are extremely knowledgeable, highly motivated, and awesome people to be around. Ive never been in a gym with a better vibe.
Great place to train and get awesome results! The owners have a huge heart for helping people live healthier lives. Great staff wouldnt want to train anywhere else.
Judge free zone where all are welcome and encouraged by everyone to do their best.
Daily email motivation helps stay the course. Weekly weigh ins keep one accountable. Trainers help modify and encourage participation.
Great experience so far! The trainers are awesome and really try and push each person to their best! Highly recommend and cant wait to see where this takes me!
I worked out here for a week before I noticed the high pitched ringing in my ears. I love the people, love the community, but the music is probably 50 times louder than it needs to be. I cannot continue working out here knowing my hearing is being permanently damaged. Id like to be in shape, but Id also like to be able to hear my grandkids laugh.
I love this gym ! This is my first gym experience so I was a little wary at first because I didnt know what to expect. I have a hard time sticking to a workout and was afraid of losing interest. Every class I go to is a different routine which is great, they keep things new and fresh and like to challenge you. The atmosphere is great, everyone is down to earth and friendly. The staff are encouraging and understanding. I talk about this gym all the time and have recommended it to people and and will continue to recommend it.
Its an amazing place to workout and make awesome friends in the process. Awsome crew that cares about your fitness and give you the best person-specific pathways to follow. The best part is that you always feel motivated ..I am really enjoying to be a part of this.
I absolutely have been blow away by this bootcamp! The people are so friendly you work out with! Everyone that works there is extremely helpful and nice! Love this place!!!!
Let me start by saying starting at this gym changed my life. I started at new years and was the best decision I made. I wanted to be healthier but never had the follow through to do it on my own. You show up and follow directions and get results. In my first 6 weeks lost 7.6% bodyfat, it is September now and I have lost 40 lbs, which considering I broke my foot in july is a major feat. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and want you to succeed in your goals. While my foot was broken I was back in a week doing seated workouts with modifications from the trainers and they helped me be the best the whole way. I have seen some reviews on here complaining about price, but understand this you get what you pay for, this is the whole package.. great workouts with amazing trainers, accountability, and nutrition counseling as well. They are there to help you succeed and they care. I dont feel lost in the crowd both the owner, matt, the other trainers and other clients make me feel part of the family. I have made some great friends here and the support I get is amazing. This isnt about a diet or just exercise it is support of a better, healthier lifestyle. I would give them a ten star review if I could, they are that wonderful. I am doing things now I never dreamed possible a year ago. At my heaviest a year ago I was above 195 at 5 2, and at weigh in last Friday I hit 138. I am on track to hit my weight goal by new years and am planning on running my first 5k in November with my daughter. They take you where your at, at your abilities and build you up, they work with you.i cant say enough good things about them. Definitely give them a shot, best program ever!! Let me also add, I was born without a thyroid and have struggled with my weight my entire adult life, they make dreams happen.
The incredible people at Fit4Lincoln offer a superb workout!
They have a deceiving ad running on social media. It claims you get 6 weeks of a body transformation boot camp free. It is not free. The moment you sign up to get started you get emails and multiple text messages. I immediately asked about if it was really free and then they stopped texting. I commented on the ad. It was deleted and I no longer can respond to said ad. Pretty shady... Based on the other review looks like they get you all motivated and then drop the bomb about giving money up front.
Fit4Lincolns 5:30 AM workout classes are perfect for those looking for quick workout before heading to work! As a runner its a great chance for me cross train 2-3 times a week.
I have been going to Fit4lincoln for2 years and I find Matt to be both encouraging and extremelyfriendly. He gets to know everyone and really tries to help them and keep them on track for theirpersonal goals. I like the vibe at the gym everyone is always really nice and we keep each other motivated to finish strong!
Amazing place and amazing people! Incredible results and so much fun!
I am thouroughly enjoying the workouts and think the trainers are motivating as well as invested in our progress. I would recommend signing up to all of my peers!!
I actually look forward to coming to my workouts with these amazing people! It is actually fun and the 30 minute class is a great break from my busy work schedule.
Fit4Lincoln owned by Matt Priess has been such an inspirational gym. I realized it isnt about the fancy equipment that a person has but rather on how they use their surroundings and the motivation that they acquire from a personal trainer and a welcoming environment. I have not been active in quite some time, and I remember my first workout at the gym was one of the most unforgettable workouts I have done. He has you do workouts that will push your limits without having to break you down. I have been coming to this gym for quite some time now and I also see other people enjoy his company and his motivational spirit always being determined to push you and strive for success. I would recommend this gym due to it being a small community and motivate you to reach your goals. Matt has been really kind throughout my training even though at times I have felt like I am not good enough, but thats why he is there to help and keep pushing forward!
Fit4lincoln is great for support. Having a trainer working with you and keeping you accountable makes such a big difference.
Fit4Lincoln cares about a persons health and wellbeing. Your success is their success! Lots of class times and encouragement!!!
Long detailed post alert!!! I responded to the ad on Facebook for the free 6 week Bootcamp. I wasn’t shocked that it wasn’t free so that’s not why I am leaving one star. Ended up only being $300 which you could split up during the 6 weeks. Showed up to my orientation a little late due to poor time management on my part. Although the parking situation was not great, I ended up having to call to figure out where to park. The reason I am giving one star is due to the attitudes of the instructor and coach. I was under the impression that they were looking for 20 beginners to start on Monday (conversation was on Friday) and I said I was ready to make a change and that my biggest issue was accountability. I get to the classes and find out it’s not beginners only but you are working out with all levels. That’s super intimidating, but okay you’re already there and committed. Go to do the workouts where you are supposed to be early for stretching. The stretches were like 4 basic hand movements and maybe some jumping jacks... that is not a warm up. The workouts are on a board for you to follow at your own pace, once again okay, but as a beginner this is where they fail miserably. The instructor gave no instructions on how to do anything. When you are doing moves that are written down only: manmaker, something farm, waiter, OH something it would be nice to be shown how to do the workout. That instantly killed my motivation and made me feel extremely stupid constantly having to ask to be shown how to do the next move. I texted Matt afterwards and explain my frustrations and how I felt like I could do the workouts I have at home and not feel uncomfortable due to the very little instructions or support the first class. He did offer to do one on one training to show me some moves or they were all posted on Facebook for me to learn. I just expected a little more effort and for the program to be put together better for the price I was paying. The more I thought about it the more upset I got about the first experience, Matt then responded and left yet another bad taste in my mouth saying, “however we are only looking for people who truly want to change.” Excuse me? I paid the money, I even was buying your suggested $200 plus supplements, I showed up. Plain rude. I will however say that the members of the group were very nice and tried to be encouraging and welcoming. I appreciated that and Nichole for reaching out afterwards and actually seeming to care that I had a poor experience unlike Matt.Lastly, to finish up my novel (yes I’m this passionate about my experience) if they ask you at the end of your workout if you know what that means? And you say no... they will say you conquered your first workout and attempt to take your photo even after you say no thank you multiple times. Sorry but I don’t want my picture taken when I didn’t feel like I was supported all of the class. I really hope this helps the next person who reads a real review and not the one they have you post. Let’s see if I get my money back after this 😊
I went in for my first class and was amazed at how supportive and knowledgeable the staff is. Chris has been helpful and very informative.
Great motivational trainers! Love the 30 minute classes, most anyone can push thru 30 minutes !
Loving the community feeling of this gym! Great place for people of all levels of fitness!
I called and left a voicemail 10 days ago. Still havent heard back from them. Filled out the Contact Us form two days ago, thinking maybe they didnt receive the voicemail. Still havent heard back from them. Apparently they dont need new business, or just have no idea how to run a successful business.
The first class i tried was 8 months ago and my life has not been the same.I recommend anyone wanting to get control back over their life or anyone looking for a new work out to xall them today!
PLEASE READ! Soooo I went in for the consult for a 6 week free bootcamp, blah blah. Went in, weigh you, talk about goals, they talked everything up, it was great, motivate you, etc.... and then drop the bomb of paying $599 NOW for the 6 weeks (credit of $200 IF you lose 20# or 5% body fat.. and the leftover goes towards a full membership) orrrrr $42 A WEEK for 52 weeks (aka $2,184 for a YEAR). Thats insane. To me, nothing is free. Im not asking for a handout but im going to assume that any single person in their 20s is not going to be able to drop $600 in one day, let alone $2,200 for a year. And P.S. all the 5 star reviews are because it is a requirement to rate them 5 stars when signing up for a membership.
Convenient locations and informative trainers. Very affordable!
Ive transformed!! I will always be appreciative to Fit4Lincoln, thank you!!
Great place great people amazing workouts
Knowing I wanted my girlfriend and I to be in better shape she got us both a 10 use fit pass for whichever training sessions we wanted. We only went to two and had enough. The first we went to was a bootcamp style, having experience with military style work outs I felt fine with it but my girlfriend didnt care for it at all. The scene wasnt too pleasant, it just looked like a roughed out garage. After being used to working out at the YMCA or the UNL Rec Center it did take some getting used to. We noticed that the instructor (a very buff guy) was not having fun at all, I dont think he even cracked a smile or motivate us at all. It felt like he didnt want to be there. The next one we went to was some sort of dance class and that one was absolutely horrible. The instructor just turned on the music and started dancing facing away from us, the whole time, she didnt give one instruction on what we were doing or how we should do it. We tried to mimic what she was doing and had no clue if we were doing it right. Afterwards I had my wife drive home and I just ran home because I didnt feel I got a workout at all.We would love to get the money from our groupon (or maybe living social, not sure which my girlfriend got) back since we only went twice but we know thats not happening.
Classes have a fantastic variety of exercises and the instructors are great. Although, it is way overpriced for what you get.
Great workouts and good vibes Great Trainers
