I have been going since 2018 and I like the dentist because of this office. Excellent service Real busy and worth the wait. I went in pain from my teeth and today I feel wonderful, and I had 3 teeth pulled in one visit. You are are in the right place.

I am always beyond happy at the level of professionalism merged with the real care that they provide. Jen is the absolute best and nicest hygienist that I have ever had. She is so intelligent! And Dr Makki knows his stuff and does not try to talk you into procedures that you dont need. They are friendly and get the job done!

They did a great job. Got me right in and were very kind and friendly. And really took care of my problem. Also got my return appointment scheduled quickly to complete the work.

Jenn the hygienist is great! She is very honest and she will tell you what care works best for your situation without trying to suck your insurance dry. Alicia is friendly and she has a great personality. Overall, I never had an issue with the staff.

The office folks are pleasant and attentive, Dr Makki is the most gentle, pain conscious dentist Ive ever had.

1st appointment was canceled. 2nd appointment was scheduled I made it. Then I was told I owe $36.00 but no bill was sent or explanation as to why I owed the money. Then I get 18 x-rays. I explained that I didnt have any money. And when it came time for me to get the cleaning I was informed I had to pay $60 for todays visit and I already stated that I would have to be billed for it. And I was told to get my things and leave. Needless to say I was not happy about it. Why was I sent through a certain process and then told I had to leave and she was not nice about either.I will not be returning.

Amazing experience with this office! I cracked my tooth yesterday and was so terrified of losing it.I made an appointment online and when I got there it hadn’t gone through. Instead of turning me away they squeezed me in last minute. No wait time, went right back.The front desk, assistant, and doctor are all so kind and accommodating. The whole process took about 40 minutes and the best part was he was able to save the tooth! Go here if you need a great dentist 🤩

The Lincoln Park location is awesome, Dr. Makki is legit, takes time to explain and make sure youre comfortable, and the staff is friendly and good at what they do. Every single bad review on here is for a different location than Lincoln Park, so if you cant be bothered to review the right place accurately then maybe you shouldnt be trusted as to your opinion on much else. I recommend this dentist at the Lincoln Park location to everyone I know, pain free root canal and multiple extractions, transparent pricing that is never inflated after they tell me what it costs. Ill go to this dentist forever.

Worst place ever, it’s all about money and how much more they can charge, added additional services they claim I needed, tried charge 5500 for a 3 pc crown that usually cost less than 800 a pc, wait is so long to get any appointments, it took me 3 months to get in and the wait inside the office is even longer and everyone is trying real hard to sell you more and moreWhen I said no and I just need normal cleaning they told me don’t qualify, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all

Let me start off by saying I absolutely hate going to the dentist. It’s safe to say I’ve been to many different dentists in my life. Dr. Makki has easily been the best dentist thus far. A great dentist understands that a patient needs to feel in control of his or her treatment and that’s exactly what Dr. Makki does. He explains everything thoroughly while doing it so the patient is aware of what is going on. He is easily the most professional and skilled dentist I have been to. Highly highly recommend!!

They where very fast at filling my chipped tooth. And very clean during my visit. Took temperature test and I really enjoyed my visit and felt very comfortable.

Made an appointment for my husband and wasnt aware the dental insurance was changed and instead of taking the initiative to find out what it changed to you canceled the appointment for a week later after I told you he was in severe pain .. I not only gave you my phone # but he was there less than a yr ago and gave his new phone # .2 things could have been done you could have called if you had properly documented the #sAnd u could have ran his soc # to find out the insurance .Thankfully after all the hoops you sent him through he was finally able to get his pain taken care of .But I will be looking for a new dentist that has empathy and cares for their patients .Thanks .

I chose Great Expressions Dental last year because it is in network of my insurance. I chose the Lincoln Park Great Expressions merely because I was able to get an appointment quickly.I am 68 years old and have been to more than a few doctors and dentists. All of them have been competent, concerned and professional. Dr. Makki is all of these and in addition is very personable. The staff is friendly and very well organized. The cost and copay for some pretty extensive dental work seems very reasonable.Solid five star rating.Mike

Hands down the best dental experience I have had thus far. The front desk, dental hygienist, and Dr. Makki were very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Makki was very caring and walked me through my dental procedure/service step by step. He explained everything thoroughly, took his time on me, and made me feel very comfortable. During the procedure, he would continuously ask me if I am doing okay to assure that I am comfortable and/or not in any pain. I had a cleaning and fillings done and the outcome was great. I would 100% recommend this dental office!!! :)

It wasnt that Dr. Makki or the dental hygienist, Jen, were kind and amiable throughout the entire process. Rather, it was the rapport they had among themselves that fascinated me. I went in for a routine clean, and left knowing that this specific center will be the only practice I return to when needing further care. Scheduled an extraction on the day I called. Was seen quickly. Everything was explained in detail. They worked with insurance company quickly. 🦷 removal was fast and painless. Staff and doc are all friendly, professional, and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Will never go back the Dr was not nice and didn’t care that I was trying to fix my smile and was like he didn’t even want to bother and that he had to was an inconvenience to him. He’s prob nice to people just getting a little work done but I needed a lot and he wasn’t into it at all. I recently found N amazing Dentist and he’s just down the road!! He is amazing and truly cares about his patents!! Just an idea for this guy!

From the receptionist to the back office staff everyone was wonderful. Went in for a root canal the procedure was painless and quick.

I called them for a dental emergency and I was basically told that there is nothing I can do the lady at the front desk was very very rude I told her the infection has gotten extremely bad and she instead of helping me recommended me going to another company who does that for their own company and when somebody tells you that the infection has gotten bad and you could go to your brain and they do nothing for you I would leave that goes against any doctor code definitely will be reporting this place to a medical board

This has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a dental office. I recently had to go onto state insurance and was told this location was one of the few who would take it. The young lady took time to help me locate my insurance plan while booking my appointment over the phone. I’m new to this kind of insurance. Everyone was extremely helpful and informative. The Doctor took his time to explain everything to me and why I had to be referred to a specialist and then again they assisted me with a list of places and phone numbers who would take it. I don’t feel as embarrassed as I thought I would after not going to regular cleanings and having to use a state insurance plan. Very comforting office!

I was so Nervous when I went in to have an extraction done this morning because Im not a fan of needles but they did an Amazing job, I felt nothing..only pressure from my tooth being pulled out. Extremely nice and made me feel comfortable. Great Job!!!

Had lots of dental issues and put them off for years. Found great expressions and 6 months later all my dental work is complete!! Never been more comfortable going to the dentist. Him and his staff are amazing. They all do fantastic work!! I highly recommend this office!!

I requested an emergency visit for my son who had been having tooth pain for over a week due to the pandemic, this location is open for emergencies and was told they cannot see him! He need to wait until his regular office open. Who would do that to a child! Then she states well emergency visits are out 2 weeks so he will be waiting anyway! Horrible

Hands down the best dental office! The staff is very friendly, got me in a few times in a very short notice and took amazing care of me when I needed a tooth pulled at roughly 36 weeks pregnant. If any a very short wait time. Cant wait to go back in September!

I havent been to the dentist in a while due to work and the anxiety of what could be wrong and honestly I didnt want to go. I recently went to the great expressions in Lincoln Park and it was a great experience! The front staff was very helpful with my insurance and other forms. The hygienist Jennifer was nice, funny and very comforting. Doctor Makki took his time to explain treatment to me. You can tell everyone that works there has the patients best interest at heart. They have a patient for life and I strongly recommend this office!!!

Dr Makki is awesome, Had all my teeth pulled top and bottom, some required surgery and stitches. I Felt no pain what so ever, and healed quickly with no dry sockets or any other issues. Dr Makki and staff are so nice, I was kept well informed about my procedure. Definitely would highly recommend. Especially if your kinda shy about seeing a dentist or it been a while. Was all ways treated with kindness and respect and wait times were short. 5 stars.!

The staff at the Lincoln park location is the best!!!! Theyre like a second family. Everyone there is so patient and understanding. Dr. Makki is the best dentist around and makes everyone love going to the dentist (which is very hard) Jen the hygienst is so funny but also very professional. The front desk really breaks things down and helps you understand EVERYTHING. They all do such a phenomenal job every work day. The dental assistants Brandon and Janette are awesome! I am doing this review on behalf of my mom, shes 86 and doesnt do internet.This was her first visit to this location. She had been going to a different location, but was not happy with the dentist there.I called to make her appt, was able to get her in on the date and time that she wanted.The front desk, dental assistants and dentist were remarkable. Everyone we encountered there took their time and listened to what she had to say.Unfortunately she has to have medical clearence to get the procedure she needs done, however this dentist was able to make her comfortable while we complete that process.I highly recommend this particular Great Expressions location.

My mother made an appointment to have a bad tooth pulled only to get home and find out they pulled the wrong tooth. She ended up going back to have the right tooth pulled 7 hours later. Shes 78. You call this professional?!?!

Hygenist? Gives strange, restrictions for people with partial denture. Almost like you get the partial but are not supposed to use the teeth??!! But, all staff were polite and not unkind. thanks

You got Grego hi I like Great Exptessions Dental Center cause it is Clean, there are bright intelligent people there they do care for whom is in there for Teeth Cleaning XRays plus everything! I would keep going every six months without hesitation.

The staff at Great Expressions in Lincoln Park is friendly, nice and professional. However, when I went there for my semi annual cleaning, I was charged $70 for 5 minutes of simple and rushed work. I follow a very good oral hygiene and, honestly, I do a better job at home. I had to go home and finish what the professional hygienist didnt bother doing. So, if you take a good care of your teeth, their second cleaning appointment is totally unnecessary. Also, they try to sell you/market to you products you dont need (corporate agenda). And, I was able to find the very same product they tried to sell me $40 cheaper through a different vendor online.

My husband and I have been coming here for a few years now. The office staff is really great. Very friendly. Visits are short and smooth.

Im very proud of our team today! We have had this situation time and time again but this time i decided to share the story. I had a patient today that made me realize what makes our office stand out amongst others. The patient was visiting another office which she felt was overcharging for her cleaning visits . I sat down with her to review her x-rays taken at the other office and discussed their diagnosis and explained that the amount of money she was paying was correct. She let her guard down, became immediately receptive and allowed us to treat her needs. The biggest thing that sets our office apart from the others is our desire and ability to listen and explain to the patient their diagnosis and the cost associated with our recommended treatment plan to address thier needs. She was so satisfied by our office she scheduled appointments for her and her family.

I first went to Great Expressions and had a feeling they were not being honest but I let them do the work because I didnt have the money for a second opinion. After I had so much pain in my teeth and ear for months, still have ear nerve pain. I went back just for a cleaning and was told by the dentist I had another cavity and I left and told them I would never be back. I got a second opinion and to my surprise I didnt have a single cavity. This dentist butchered my mouth once and probably had no reason too and was trying to do it again when I didnt even have a cavity. He insisted I schedule my appointment asap for a filling. What a liar and I dont know how this guy can live with himself doing this to people. Im a nurse in the area and have asked several of my patients that go there due to insurance reasons like I did and every single one of them had the same story of how awful they were treated at this location. From the front desk, to the hygienist, to the dentist, they are all rude and insist on the lies of this dentist. My insurance was also charged for xrays that were not done, so add fraud to the list of many awful things about this place. They also tried to force the fluoride treatment when I refused and tried to charge me for it when it was not done. Just disgraceful!

They inflate the numbers on pocket depths. All they try to do is upsell you here, therefore you cannot trust what they say. Make no mistake about it, this is a business first. High dentist turnover here. Why? Three days after they cleaned my teeth an oral surgeon Great Expressions sent me to examined my mouth and asked me when the last time I had my teeth cleaned was. Thats pretty bad. Summation: There are far better dental practices out there.
