Our entire family loves this gym! Heather is an amazing coach and really tailors each workout to her clients needs. I have been having on and off issues with my back and knee and she focused on strengthening areas to alleviate my pain. She is extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the body and overall health. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone and everyone (and I have)!

Ive always been the type of person who needs someone else to instruct me as to what to do in the gym, and motivate me to get the workout done. Heather is super knowledgeable in all aspects of training and made coming to the gym feel like therapy, for both my body and mind. She personalizes your training to fit your body and needs, and will work with any difficulty you may have to fit your fitness goals. Highly recommend Heather and The Healthy Gene to all!
A little over a year ago I walked into The Healthy Gene and met Heather. Id just been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and was living a fairly inactive lifestyle. Heather listened to my situation, took the time to get to know me, and made note of what I would and would not like in a gym experience (even down to my music preferences!). Ive been visiting The Healthy Gene 3 times a week ever since. My diabetes is very well under control and my body is strong and I feel wonderful. I appreciate Heather for partnering with me though this journey. If you are considering The Healthy Gene I highly recommend it for its safe, healthy, and caring environment.
Heather at The Healthy Gene has literally brought me back to life after two years of a struggle with torn meniscus surgery, total knee replacement, rehab and hobbling around for those 24 months of inactivity. She had me moving and grooving within 4 weeks! Been working out at The Healthy Gene for six months now and has changed the way I look not only at fitness but nutrition, diet and attitude. No matter what was going on in the world (hello...2020) or her personal life, Heathers positive, upbeat attitude and ability to dance (did you really think I would not mention that) during my workouts was inspiring and focused. Her ability to read the parts of my body that were not working correctly, just by watching how I was moving during certain workouts, had her focusing on what would improve my range of motion in everything. The last 8 years I’ve had three major cancer surgeries and was on daily toxic medication and my body was deteriorating. I couldn’t even do a simple squat. After 1 month of working out twice a week with Heather at The Healthy Gene, I feel stronger, I’m getting my flexibility and balance back, and my squats have improved! I’ve worked with personal trainers before but working out with Heather has been more enjoyable. I leave the gym feeling invigorated, stronger with a more positive attitude and I look forward to the next workout.

Im so grateful I was introduced to Heather and The Healthy Gene! The combination of strength training and cardio has me feeling so much stronger. The workouts are never quite the same day-to-day or week-to-week. Great personal trainer! I value the work done with a personal trainer, which lead me to The Healthy Gene. Heather makes each session valuable and interesting. Ive been going for about 6 weeks and still look forward to each private session. Further more Heather always listens to what I like and do not like to do and follows up with me on during the week, which is a great way to keep me motivated! Great for those who have a rough schedule but want to leave a workout feeling like you have actually accomplished something. I burned 600 calories in one sessionand raved about to all week! Highly recommend The Healthy Gene!
Ive been working with Heather at the Healthy Gene for a while . Its been a great experience . Her approach to training is top notch and well planned . My Cardiovascular strength and muscle strength have improved significantly and my body is working in a very balanced way .
