Like snap-on tools and have a good relationship with the snap-on truck owner. However when trying to contact snap-on credit you have better luck talking to a brick wall. Lady on the line raised her voice with me kept talking over me and terminated the phone call. Honastly better off buying out right from the truck or not at all.By the looks of it they have very poor reviews so Im not the only one.
Purchased my tool box about three years ago, the original cost was $8500, Travis Kelly added more tools to my account without my knowledge or permission and in doing so my current balance is just under $6k. I’ve offered this company $4k in an attempt to be done with the account as I’m moving out of country and they refuse to work with me. Which I find funny, they’d rather cause misery with their customers than to ever help them. If snap on was on fire I’d piss in the other direction. It’s no wonder Matco and Mac have blown passed them, hell, at this point I trust harbor freight more than I do strap on.
Their interest rate is way way way to high. My loan was for $2,300 paid more than my monthly minimum for six months and at the end of six months my balance was $2,400. It never went down any it went up after I paid hundreds of dollars for that time.
BUYER BEWARE!!!! DONOT BUY FROM SNAPON CREDIT!!!I PAD $63,000 ON A SCAN TOOL THAT I PURCHASED 6 YRS AGO FOR $13,000. CALCULATE THAT INTEREST. I PAID OFF THE REMAINING 4,000 TODAY AND I COULD NOT BE MORE RELIEVED!PAYING $250/WK TOOK 7 YRS TO PAY IT OFF. HIGHWAY ROBBERY!
Had some rough times and they wouldnt work with me or acknowledge anything I said. I gave him my tool box back and then said I owed the full amount from only having the box a week. This was from 2015 still shows in my credit and they keep changing the amount I owe.
I own my shop and recently started to allow Snap On to stop there despite what happened with the last Snap On truck guy. The new guy Justin is working hard to get me to buy a scanner. I finally buy the Modis and let him start a corporate account in my name. Approved for 11K so we finance 3K of the scan tool. Snap On LLC reports each month my account is only approved at whatever the balance is and shows as a maxed out credit card dropping my credit score which affects the monthly premium for auto insurance for my whole fleet. I call and get basically Not my problem type answers. After my shop has spent the coin on a Solus and a Modis in the last 90 days you can bet I will not be buying that HAWKEYE ELITE now.Mack W. Ive paid my snap on credit on time every week, and always paid over the minimum. I havent worked in several months for health reasons, and these people will not leave me alone. I have paid for everything, probably 3 times over. I will not pay 1 more penny, or buy anything else from snap on.
I have been a loyal Snap on customer since 1985 and after the way their Manager treated me today, I will never, ever buy another piece of Snap on equipment.I have owned an Auto Repair Shop for 25 years come June and what I experienced today has to be the most unethical enforcement of leasing requirements I have ever had the pleasure to deal with, and I have had quite a few.One of the leasing Managers who decided today he would play God and call me on my loan because of some unethical dealer providing fraudulent information at the last second, has a bit to learn about customer service.I guarantee you one thing, he will learn a lesson from his inexcusable actions of today. He basically ignored all emails and verbal conversations from myself concerning a piece of used equipment that was returned back to the seller of said used equipment with the guidance of the LOCAL SNAP ON DEALER because the used equipment was defective. He ruled that my lease ( which I have never missed a payment ) was there fore in default because I did not notify Snap-on credit about the piece of used equipment that the local Snap on dealer helped me to return.Unbelievable..He will soon.
If I could give this 0 stars, I would. My fiancé purchased a tool box from snap on this past fall. He works at wolf Kubota and a snap on worker would come in every week so that people could buy tools as well as paying their weekly bill. The guy who came in to my fiancé’s work would not even show up some weeks, then told him it was fine and not to worry about missing last weeks payment. My fiancé always paid double when the snap on guy missed a week though. He was told when he bought the tool box that it would be easier to pay the guy directly then to do online payments. However, having the snap on guy not come in some weeks, which happened quite frequently, just caused his interest to keep piling up AND to be charged extra. My fiancé purchased a tool he needed for work and each week he told the snap on guy to put 25 towards the tool and 50 towards the tool box. Well, the guy ended up putting 40 towards the tool each week and only 35 towards the tool box, making the tool box interest accumulate more. My fiancé told him each week how much he wanted towards each payment and the guy never once listened. The only way he realized this was when he got sick of the snap on guy not showing up and decided to do online payments. He was shocked to realize that his money was not going where it was supposed to. There’s also a HUGE interest rate on his tool box, more than twice the interest of any credit card. He was not even told this when purchasing the tool box, the guy told him he could pay it off easily and that the interest would not affect anything. Needless to say, if you’re going to buy products from here on a payment plan, you’re better off putting it all on your credit card and making monthly payments on that. Or, you should save up as much money as possible so that you can make large payments to avoid the insane interest rates. My fiancé will never be purchasing from snap on again due to the dishonest salesman he dealt with. Don’t buy from snap on, it’s not worth it.
Best mechanic tools EVER!
Good
Finally free from snap on!!!!!!!!
