I had a septic tank emergency. C.E. Taylor was the only responsive company that was actually able to come out same day and the men went above what they needed to do to help get my plumbing back in working order. I would definitely recommend C.E. Taylor for any of your septic tank issues. Thank you all for your great customer service

We had an urgent need to have our tank pumped but due to recent rains they were slammed. The lady on the phone was so helpful and said they would do their best to fit me in. 5 hours later I received the courtesy call they were on the way! They were polite and efficient and very reasonably priced. highly recommend!

I edited my review from 1 to 4 due to the owner calling me. The guys that work there are excellent from the owner to the service people. I have to take 1 star away due to the 2 women in the office. They are very unprofessional. I read the other reviews and this seems to be the majority of the issues people have with CE Taylor. I will definitely use them again, they are the best even with the crazies that work in the office.

DO NOT use this company they dont do anything just take your money and run. Both me and my neighbor had same issue. Called them they came out and next day our septic alarms went off again. Called them and the lady was rude on the phone but claimed technician will call me back. Never heard anything again. I do know that if i want them come out again they want another $225 service call fee. Dont waste your time with them.

After years of having septic tank problems my wife and I had to finally have a new system installed. Shopped around and finally decided to go with C.E. Taylor. Called and talked with Trey and discussed our issues and decided to have a entire new septic tank system installed. Trey came out and we discussed our options with placement and layout for new drain lines. Trey was very informative and knowledgeable, he was able to answered any and all my questions. A week later at 8:30 sharp just like he said, him and his crew were there. Everyone was courteous, polite, and happy to explain there process as the job went along. A few hours later they were packing up and clean the yard up in a way that the only way you could tell they were there was the loose dirt on top of the ground. So thankful to have made the choice to go with CE Taylor. If your looking for upfront honest guys that care about what they do, Do your self a favor and give them a call. Thanks Trey and Thanks CE Taylor!

On January 1st 2021, we had an emergency with our septic tank. I called C E Taylor ( I was not a client of this company before) in the early afternoon. A friendly voice answered ( not a voice Mail!) and I was told they would come very soon to help us with our problem. 45 minutes later, they were at our property and solved our problem. Thank you for your help! It was very much appreciated!

We had them replace our drain field a few years ago within 6 months it was leaking above the ground.I called them and they sent the man who put them in out to check it he said he had not ever had this happen but for around $600 dollars he could fix it.I paid $1800 for the initial install. So to make a long story short after having to deal with this issue for several years I had a different company come out today they informed me the direction the drain field was ran is the problem so when I am done I will have almost $5000 in a drain field sorely disappointed.

Giving 1 star based off price. Everyone I have spoken to is absolute stunned that we were charged $2550 for a new grinder pump and septic clean out.I was never made aware of the cost up front or I would have declined immediately. They did the job, but then charged a ridiculous amount of money and just expect people to have $2550.00 just lying around. They should have inspected my issue, given me a quote, and asked to proceed. Instead they did the job and charged me more than I ever thought this problem could be worth.I understand that a job was done and things cost money, but this is insane. I was told when they handed me the bill that the pump alone costs $2,000. A quick Google search shows its readily available for $1,000 anywhere. Thats without contractor specials. Then on my actually bill, the pump shows $1,200. A lot of it just seems shady. And Im not upset at the workers, its not their fault. Im genuinely upset at the price we had to pay and that they never once gave us even an estimate of what the work would cost. Ive had multiple people and others in this field of work tell me I was overcharged.I talked them down to $2,400, but it is still ridiculous to pay that much without getting a quote or authorizing a job to be that much. For that reason alone, I will shop elsewhere moving forward. I do not like to be disrespected when it comes to charging for a job. I do not believe it was fair for the work, and I will let family and friends know of my experience moving forward. My best advice is look for someone else who is going listen, honestly address and quote the job, and then charge a fair price. If you like to spend your life savings, then maybe these guys are for you. If you are budgeting and honest, look for someone else.**update**The thing I paid $2,400 for is still giving me issues. Every time it rains, water was rushing straight into the grinder pump C E Taylor installed. I filled these sink holes a couple times hoping it was just dirt settling from all the digging.I was wrong.I dug it up today to find 3 different ways water and dirt we’re getting into my grinder pump and filling my septic with mud. They cut a line and apparently didn’t measure when they added the union, this has cause the lid on the lift station to be offset, cause one way for mud to get into the tank.Because the lid is offset and not flush, the main grommet does not fit into the hole. They left it exposed and water and mud constantly flow into this. The third way is where the power wires come from the pump. I can not make this up, they tried to use a Nos Energy can to cover this wire hole. I gave them some flex seal tape and a circular piece of plastic and told them to cover it tightly. Well when I dug it up, that 2 inch hole on the top was fully exposed. I’m sure my septic is full of mud at this point and the grinder pump is trash from grinding sand all the time. When I mentioned this to C E Taylor, the only response was “use shingle and sealer.”I didn’t pay all this money for the job not to be done correctly and still causing issues down the road.I want to make things right with this company, the owner seemed like a genuine guy. But I don’t know what I’m supposed to do when their work was done so incorrectly.I just want it to work like it’s supposed to. Would be great if it was done correctly the first time.

Trey restored my faith in septic tank companies. I called another company to come out and give me an estimate, left my number with them to call me back and I still havent heard back from them. Called CE Taylors, they called me back the same day. He also was able to come out and talk to me that day. They installed the septic tank today and were finished before lunch. Trey takes the time to make sure everything is working smoothly and even talked to my plumber. He also told me to call them if I have any problems or questions. As a customer, this makes me feel confident in them. I would recommend them!

Upon arrival, It appears that my septic tank has been covered by a large concrete patio that was poured before I purchased the home. I was told by the technician that I needed to call a plumber and have them bring a camera out to locate exactly where the tank was. Even though no work could be done, I was told that there was still a trip fee for coming out. I completely get that. I work in the service industry as well. We charge trip fees just like everyone else when our time has been wasted. What I did not expect was to be told that the trip fee was $175! More than half of what the actual service was going to cost me!I immediately called the company office to explain my situation and stress that this should have been disclosed to me prior to sending someone to my home. Questions should have been asked as to whether I knew where the septic was located, had a septic report, etc. And that If they arrived and could not find/access it, that I would be charged this hefty fee.The woman that I spoke to (I forget her name, but I want to say it was Gina), same woman I spoke to the day before Im pretty sure starts to go into how they typically dont run into this problem. After the technician told me that this didnt surprise him. So, I assume they DO in fact run into this issue from time to time.I explained to her again that my issue was that I was not told about this charge prior to them coming out. If I was, then I would have called the plumber first to locate the tank instead of wasting $175 for 5 mins of someone telling me to call a plumber. She began to explain to me that she also tells her clients that the price is for a 1000 gallon tank, then they get on site and find out its a 2000 gallon tank and then customers want to argue the price with her. Again, that information was disclosed to me. So that would not have been an issue. The issue is that I am not paying $175 for a trip fee!At this point, she begins to get smart with me and asks me what I feel is reasonable for a trip charge. I told her $50 is reasonable because thats what we charge in my line of work. I told her I have a warranty company as well. There is a $75 trip fee whether they can do the work or not. That is reasonable. $175 is ridiculous!Heres where I was sent over the edge...after I gave her this price, she then LAUGHS at me!!! And says, yea...okay and mumbles something under her breath.I have been in the same line of work for going on 9 years now. Working in customer service and have dealt with some of the nastiest, rudest customers you can imagine and never once have I laughed at one of them or not kept my composure in their time of frustration. My guess, is this woman is somehow related to the owner or maybe even part owner herself based off of the way that she spoke to me. And if she isnt, she should be FIRED!! Because now, not only will I go back to every person that referred you to me and let them know that their recommendation was horrible, But I will also let everyone else know how your office runs and how rude you are to your potential clients. And that information is purposely left out so that you can scam people out of their hard earned money especially during times like these.I would have gladly called them back out once I located my tank. But now, they will NEVER get my business and I will make sure that anyone I see needing these services doesnt make the same mistake that I did and go through being treated that way!Let me also add that I was told that I would receive a call back after this issue was unresolved and waited 4 hours before posting this!!!

Im very pleased with C E Taylor & Son Inc. I have been having many problems with my septic tank and I suspected that my drain field was entangled with roots or something causing the backup. I called two other local companies but did not receive callbacks.I called Trey in desperation on Saturday. He not only answered promptly but was very courteous in taking my information. We scheduled for Monday (today) to have my tank pumped and discuss possibly digging a new drain field.Basil and Nelson showed up promptly this morning. They pumped the tank, replaced my broken tank lid and inspected the tank itself, discovering that a large leak of water running into the tank from the house was the likely culprit. I am now looking at fixing the leak and hoping a new drain field is not a necessity, so they possibly saved me a lot of money as well. Overall I would definitely recommend.

We were happy with the service we received last summer with our drain field...what we ARE NOT happy with is the rudest lady that answered the phone when my husband called to see if they would come out and let us know the best place to put an above the ground pool....she said it would be 175.00 to 225.00 to come out and just tell us where our drainage lines run and septic tank is! I can understand 50.00 to 80.00 but that amount is crazy!!! And when my husband stated that was alot she then made a smart comment about well our guys dont come out for free. We didnt expect that! Well, never again will we ask for their service or call their office, I really like to support our local small businesses but with that price and the rudest office staff they will not have my support...😟

This company is not worth one star. My husband and I received feedback from them that we needed a new drain field for our septic tank. We have owned homes before that had issues with septic, but we have had no issues at our current home. This company told the buyers of our home that the drain field was needed. This was going to cost $3,000. My husband called to clarify the findings at the septic inspection and the lady on the phone was rude and demeaning. They refused to send another inspector to our home to clarify what was found. We have gotten a second and third opinion and our septic tank is FINE! Please don’t waste your time, money or energy on this company. Very poor customer service and caused a lot of frustration and confusion for us selling our home and for the buyers who are buying our home.

Friendly & hard-working driver arrived to service our septic system. Worked by himself and did the best he could with the tools given, pumping out our septic tank. We paid cash and had no reason to think things werent resolved. Two days later, we had to pay another company to come out and cable the line leading from the septic to the house, using the same access that C.E. had. The C.E. driver didnt have the tools to do this. I called to ask for some sort of consideration from C.E. since it was very expensive to pay for a second service. Instead, the animated customer service rep insisted that they were the best service and wondered why we called someone else to solve the problem. Instead of a refund, partial refund, coupon, or discount for the unsatisfactory service, the assumption seemed to be that we needed an education on how septic systems work. It was an enlightening experience!

We have an old septic system that needed replacement. They came out to unclog a drain line and basically stood around like they didn’t know what the problem was. Didn’t really clear the problem (somewhat understandable) but also didn’t give any good advice as to what to do next. We called to have the septic replaced, called 811 as advised, and called back to set up appointment. No one ever showed up. We both tried calling back and have received voicemail from that point forward. Terrible service for an “emergency” business. I didn’t realize how terrible CE is until we contacted another company that was beyond exceptional and actually understanding of needing a working septic system.

The person I spoke to said they couldnt get to me for 2 days and only had 2 calls before me for the day I had chosen and it should be right after lunch. Waited at home for several hours. Finally called them to find out where the guy may be on getting to my call and the guy on the phone stated that they were heading to another call in batesburg. I told him I had been waiting and for $325 they should be able to give a little more closer time frame of showing up. I told him that I may need to call someone else cuz I couldnt just sit and wait and they cancelled my appt. They know that my septic is coming back into my house and that i had to pull the top of the emergency drain off just to be able to use the bathroom. The people on the phone were very rude and not professional at all. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Had similar problems as other reviewers and called was told it was most likely a failing drain line. The guy showed up and said it may be a leaking toilet that is causing our drain field to be saturated. Told me to contact 811 and then give him a call back to schedule a time to cone back and do a thorough probe of our drain field and give us a price for a new drain field. I waited and called several times all day and he never showed was told he would be there first thing Monday morning and he never showed... Called another company theycame right out said it maybe the drain line and we can determine that pretty easily and quickly. After some probing and running a balloon into the septic they determined it was probably our drain field. She put us in contact with another septic company that came out and actually determined after digging our septic up that it was the trap backed up and he removed the problem and fixes the septic so it shouldnt happen again and charges me $110 verses CE Taylors and Sons starting price of $750 just to get the machines out here it could ve well over a $1000 is what I was told... Will never recommend this company as they are very unprofessional and missed 2 appointments and never apologized for wasting my time!
