The staff at Avalon are terrific -- they are polite, responsive, and get the job done. This includes the people in the office who help match up tenants with an apartment and the maintenance staff who attend to areas in and outside the apartments that need fixing. Having a reliable staff makes living at Avalon at Lexington Hills very pleasant. Add to that the beautiful surrounding area of conservation land with numerous trails available to all, and it is a very special place. I recommend Lexington Hills without hesitation.

I had a problem with my hot shower being not very hot, so I put in a ticket. Repair technician Steven came the next day. He was cordial and pleasant. He checked every thing thoroughly, adjusted the thermostat and replaced a mixing valve. He carefully tested the outlets after the new valve and made sure no air in the pipes. He did a great job! Thanks Steven!

We just signed a two year lease because we love loving at Avalon at Lexington Hills. We had maintenance person Chris Rogers complete two fixes in our unit and as always, Chris is super pleasant. The sales staff especially Edward is extremely efficient and kind. We can highly suggest Avalon at Lexington Hills if you want to live in an amazing location that is minutes from i95 and Cambridge and Waltham where my wife works.

Lovely location next to walking trails, playgrounds, bike paths and seasonal pond. Lovely manicured grounds. Wonderful maintenance staff.

I live at Avalon at Lexington Hills, Lexington, Mass. This famous town to all Americans is a fantastic suburban town right outside of Boston. You are close to Memorial Drive in Cambridge as well as Storrow Drive in Boston. Boston used to be called a college town which it is but Boston has grown in the last 20 years into an international city. There are several Avalon’s in the heart of Boston to. But what I love about Avalon at Lexington Hills it is surrounded by beautiful conservation grounds with paths for walking. It is surrounded by amazing landscapes of dogwood and cherry blossom trees. The big lawn in the heart of the apartment complex has a very safe jungle gym playground area. Places for children to play and ride their bikes safely. The maintenance people truly are the best Chris and others are friendly and all professionals.The apartments themselves are modern with exquisite features. I asked for an extra handle for my shower and got it in a day! The kitchen’s have every feature you want and need for a kitchen. They are larger than most apartments I have explored before moving here 12 years ago. The apartment complex looks the same ( beautiful ) as it did then. The public schools are as good as private schools if not better rated as one of the best programs in the nation. Downtown Lexington has great shops and restaurants it’s also a dog friendly town. Avalon at Lexington Hills is also dog and cat friendly. There is even a fantastic dog park here.We have a first class fitness center and beautiful pool that is open all summer. There are events put on by management like our summer outside cookout and picnic in the barbecue area next to the pool. Ice cream truck, Halloween party for the kids etc. you will always meet great neighbors, professionals, Mom and Dad and kids, singles, young married couples, people between buying a home and retirement people downsizing. It’s really a Minnie America in Lexington, Mass.There is the bus that leaves directly to from the bus terminal at Avalon at Lexington Hills that brings you directly to the Alewife bus and subway terminal in Cambridge Mass.You are close also to route 128, route 2, and 495.I highly recommend you live here. You will settle in and call Avalon at Lexington Hills home.

My repair was completed very quickly and expertly by the Avalon repair man. I appreciated the prompt reply after submitting the request and how quickly he fixed the problem.

I have lived here for almost a year so I feel like this review is rather objective.TLDR version of my review: Full stars for everything.I live in a top-floor 1b1b loft, corner unit. The apt is super quiet, the ceilings are very high and the windows are BIG. Plenty of natural light and we also have a nice little balcony for the good vibes.Thea exterior design is beautiful, there are all kinds of outdoor plants and they are taken good care of by the team. The community looks gorgeous, especially in late spring and summer.The environment is excellent since this apartment complex is basically surrounded by the reservation. I come across all kinds of small animals everyday. Being just 3-min walk away from the woods. It’s just perfect!The maintenance team is very helpful and friendly. Moe helps me a lot and big thanks to you!The leasing office is always nice and welcoming on answering all my questions and requests. It’s kind of them to not raise rent too crazy on my lease renewal, I really appreciate it.I haven’t really used any facilities since moving in because of Covid. I have only used the gym a few times. The equipments are all kind of old but made in high quality. I don’t like how the gym is built underground so there is no natural light nor good view.There are many families living here and seems from the balcony decor they have been living here for a while. Lots of kids living here and they seem to know each other well and play together frequently.The downsides in my opinion are:- Gym: the gym looks small for such a big community. But I haven’t experienced any congestion probably because of covid. Also I don’t like how it’s underground.- Location: this is debatable but I do find living in Lexington sometimes inconvenient, especially when I drive to the city to meet friends, or drive to Cambridge for work. But this location is probably the best for family with kids.- Trash disposal: my building doesn’t have a built-in trash chute, I have to walk a few mins to get rid of trash & recycles. This adds a bit of stress on trash & recycle planning.- SPEEDING CARS: This is actually the biggest problem IMO. The speed limit is 10mph but I often see cars driving at 30-40. I’m not sure if these are residents or just people driving by the property to take shortcut.

The maintenance team is very reliable. Work orders are always complete very quickly. This would be one of the benefits of living here. You don’t have to deal with house problems. Thanks Chris and maintenance team!

I’ve lived in Avalon for over 5 years and the staff are amazing whenever there is a problem in my apartment the maintenance people are always here to help especially Moe he has helped me throughout living here and i’m very grateful he always has a positive outlook on things, the service he does is amazing.

This is a great warm and friendly place to live. We have lived here for almost two years. Service response is always right away -- Moe, Chris, Dan -- thank you for your services! Office staffs are super friendly and helpful -- Michael, Julianne, Ed, and Rob -- thank you! During CoVID-19 cleaning staffs clean public areas constantly on a regular schedule everyday. When our situation changed and had the need to move into a larger place, we did not look for anywhere else but chose transferring to a larger apartment within Avalon at Lexington Hills. We had a smooth transfer with the help from office staffs. We would highly recommend this place.

Why I live at Avalon Hills... Any problem big on small they have your back!Yesterday, I placed a service call in the morning by the time I got home from work the service was complete! I would not even had know that someone was in my apartment except for the problem was fixed and the email I received saying my work order was complete. I have been a Avalon for 10 years, every time I have placed a service call I have had the same experience.Along with the exceptional service experiences I have had at Avalon Lexington Hills, I can say the same for office staff, it does not matter if you speak to one of the mangers or staff that just started that day. We have had a wonderful experience with the repair team (Moe, OT, Chris, and Dan!) when we had sudden issues with our air conditioning during the most recent heatwave. They responded so quickly, and were so helpful in resolving the issue fully. The leasing management team was so kind and helpful throughout our entire application process! We are so happy to live in such a supportive, clean, and peaceful community.

The staff in the office and on maintenance are and have always been incredibly supportive, kind, and personable. I truly appreciate being able to feel like a valued member of this community. I remember as a child moving here in 2008, this complex seemed like a dream place to reside in for my mom and me. 11 years later, I can say that it truly is a dream come true to live here, and I am so appreciative of Avalon at Lexington Hills for giving me the best place to grow up in and the most wonderful, lifelong memories.

Avalon at Lexington Hills is awesome!!I spent just a year at there, I got great experience. This apartment has a huge park named great lawn, it let me feel like I live in a park. Not only that, the great lawn is great playground. we can let kids play at there anytime. It is awesome communication place for any residents.The customer service is also great. Every Avalon staffs are always smilly and kind. Residents seem to be promised safety and reliable life at this apertment.

I want to acknowledge the great work of Emma Lynch, Community Consultant at Avalon at Lexington Hills. From our first meeting she has impressed and consistently gone above and beyond my expectations. The team as a whole is very good but, for me, Emma stands out as customer-focused and highly knowledgeable about the community and the specific apartments. My decision to move to Avalon at Lexington Hills was, in large part, due to my experience with Emma. The service by Emma, the entire leasing office and the maintenance team has been excellent.

The maintenance person who came to fix the closet was prompt and tried to repair the shelf so that it would have more support . He also replaced my ice maker and it is working fine. I appreciated the prompt reply to the request.

Absolutely love it here. Everyone from the staff to maintenance and even my neighbors in my building have been such a pleasure. We have been treated with such caring attitude very helpful with our needs for Daniel. Daniel is my youngest son and has special needs and is in a wheelchair. The apartment is like a dream come true for us to be able to take care of Daniel. Thank u from the bottom of my heart for all you do, taking care of people with such professionalism. The grounds are kept beautiful and everything is always so clean. I know my stay here at Avalon will be a long one.

We need to report some excellent support from one of the maintenance technicians at Avalon @ Lexington Hills - Moe.Our dishwasher had suddenly stopped working and Moe came in, spent nearly 2hrs to first try to rectify the problem and after it did not work out, he turned up the next day with a replacement device. Another hour or so to set it up and we were all set!Our gratitude to Moe and the team at Avalon @ Lexington Hills! Thank you.

I moved in 2 weeks ago and I am very happy that I did. The staff here are amazingly helpful. The area is kept very clean and the landscape is beautiful. The moving in process was very easy and everything was completely spotless when we arrived. The Lexpress is a very convenient to have also. I would like to thank Michael, Emma and Eddie for their kindness and the great amount of help they have given me. Moving here was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

The apartment is great. Apartment has upgraded furnishings. Also, great lawn provide a nice place for kids to play. It is in nice school district and have great access to school buses.In addition, front office staff are very helpful. Michael and Jenna have helped us anytime we needed help.Recommend apartment especially for people having kids.

We had a short stay at Avalon at Lexington Hills, but it was the perfect place for us to be while we looked for permanent housing in the area. The community shuttle to Alewife was great and garage parking was nice during a snowy winter. The grounds and apartment are well maintained. We found Jenna to respond quickly and politely to our e-mails and Josh quickly took care of our maintenance requests during our stay. I recommend you budget for water/sewer as it actually ran about the same cost as our utility bills. That was a little surprising to us.

Michael Borey is a gem of a person. Always greeting you with a smile and an attitude to help you in every situation. You can trust him to take the right decision. Avalon - highly recommended. Mike: More than highly recommended.

Lexington, MA is a great place to raise a family and I don’t know if there is a better community to live in Lexington than the Avalon at Lexington Hills. It’s a great family-oriented, pet-friendly community with terrific, professional staff, and a top-tier maintenance service. The community manager Rob and his teammate Michael have been exceptionally resident-focused and customer oriented in resolving issues. They are wonderful people to interact with and so are several other folks from leasing and maintenance staff. They also organize several community-wide events each year to help bring residents together in a fun way. There is a daily (weekday) shuttle service to Alewife MTA several times in the mornings and afternoons, which is very valuable for residents commuting to Boston/Cambridge. The property is close to conservation land, and it’s relatively quiet being away from main road traffic. Overall, I highly recommend Avalon at Lexington Hills to anyone looking for a great community oriented living experience in this area.

Avalon at Lexington Hills proved to our clients that when they say they will do everything they can do, that they actually follow through. Eddie and Rob made the extra effort to find a creative solution to what could have been a problem for my clients across state lines move. For the last two years, a one-bedroom apartment in this sprawling, well-maintained apartment complex served as my temporary residence while in Lexington. My experience has been superb. Kudos to the management team for their timely attention to any need or suggestion, their pleasant disposition and professionalism. The response of the maintenance staff was prompt and efficient. The apartment amenities are modern and kept updated. Although my schedule did not permit me, I truly appreciated the organization of social events to foster a neighborhood feeling. I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a clean, friendly community experience. Will miss my stay here.

I have lived here for 10 years and am still pleased to call this Home. My apartment is an attractive space with nice amenities including high ceilings, full size washer and dryer, newly installed hardwood floors, and central air. The well-maintained grounds are beautiful and surrounded by public conservation land with hiking trails just a short walk away. The skilled maintenance staff is quick to respond when needed. And I cannot say enough about the office staff led by Rob and Michael to whom I am grateful. The entire staff is genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful.....hospitality at its finest!

I’m a long-time resident at the Avalon at Lexington Hills and I absolutely love living here! The property is top-notch. There’s a great gym, pool, Alewife shuttle, and outdoor space. Everyone here, from the office staff to the maintenance team, go above and beyond to keep residents happy.The Office team- Michael, Rob, Eddie, and Emma- always have a smile and great attitude that immediately cheers you up when you talk to them. They are quick to help with anything and very accommodating.The Maintenance team works quickly to resolve any issues that come up. They don’t just put a bandaid on things, but come up with creative solutions to fully resolve issues. Kudos to Steve and Ayoub on the recent work they did to adjust my front door. Also, over the years the maintenance manager, OT, has been fantastic at troubleshooting a heating problem and a water temperature issue. Maintenance is also proactive in replacing old equipment, such as my hot water heater, before any issues came up.The office and maintenance teams keep it so comfortable and stress-free here. They are the main reason why I’ve continued to live here for 5+ years. I highly recommend moving here!

I have lived here for a year almost, and I have been very happy. Everyone who works here has been great; they are always friendly and helpful! The complex is very well maintained, and there has been a lot of renovation work since I have moved in. The community is also very dog friendly, and everyone seems to be quite responsible for cleaning up after their pets. :)Update August 2017: So my dog and I are still here, and we are still very happy with the community. The people who work at the office often transfer to other locations, and it is sad to see them go. However, everyone new who had come has also been fantasic, and it has been wonderful to meet them and interact with them. The maintenance team has continued to be very responsive and helpful as well.

Interaction with any of them is always friendly and professional; they are attentive to concerns, and they make residents a top priority. Happy with the property and the team. From my initial inquiry to a few weeks into residency I have been greeted warmly and had any items addressed quickly.It is obvious that the team takes pride in their work.The various play areas have been wonderful for our dogs and kid and the surrounding nature reserve is a gift.Special call-out to Aubrey and Mike from the front office, they are a pleasure to work with.

We have been living here several years and they have been great, especially the service. They always come the same day you request things. They also completely redid our carpets when we asked! Very kid and pet friendly place too.

We have recently moved into this delightful community and are enjoying our move so far. Very helpful and responsive office and maintenance team, very respectful and quick turnaround at all hours. Nice gym that we use, kids love the pool and great events organized by the office team - BBQ recently attended by a lot of residents.

On maintenance appreciation week, I would like to say that the team here at Lexington Hills is terrific. They are prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and they complete what they start.

The amenities are very good, the service is good, the unit is okay but what the more important thing than those is the annual increase of rent. they did 8,6% and no room for negotiations! stay away!

My wife and I have lived here for about 10 months. The management team and maintenance team are great. Package acceptance/notification/pickup is helpful and works well. As someone who uses the shuttle to Alewife I can say that it’s a very good amenity; generally on time and makes good use of public transit. The property has good pet policies and is very caring towards the local pets (they know them by name). Plenty of parking for those that have cars, and easy access to route 2 and I-95 as well. The gym was just redone and is well equipped. For nature lovers, the access to the Western Greenway and associated trail systems is a big plus.

Absolutely love living in this complex! We had our summer BBQ yesterday with drinks, hotdogs/hamburgers, finger sandwiches, pasta salad, music, and an ice cream truck! There are so many great amenities here and the management staff is highly attentive to all tenants. The service department is also great, Ive never gone one whole day without an issue fixed, its always resolved right away and the maintenance team is extremely friendly. Would recommend this apartment complex to couples, families, and even single individuals. There is always something great going on - today they have a blood drive!The only CON to living here has been the lease renewal process, as the rent can substantially increase (upwards of 9%) which is scary. Were hopeful that we can stay living here for the next few years and wont be pushed out due to rent increasing astronomically.

I am so impressed with living at Avalon at Lexington Hills. The management and staff are exceptionally customer-focused. They make it easy to request any repairs or assistance, have prompt responses, and are also proactive about keeping up with maintenance within our apartments as well as around the grounds. I had a request for closet shelving work, and David and Joe responded within a couple hours, were knowledgeable, professional, and a joy to work with. Another time when they came to do a repair, I asked them to check my disposal which didnt sound right. He saw that it wasnt working correctly, and went right away to get a replacement.Rob, the Community Manager, has been so responsive to any questions or suggestions, and he and his staff work hard to create a sense of community, offering enjoyable gatherings for all ages (bar b q’s, holiday activities, dog activities, other events) as well as keeping us all informed about other topics of interest. I am grateful to feel part of this welcoming and safe community.

We have lived at Avalon since Aug 2016 and are very happy with the quality of apartments and level of service. The team is responsive and prompt. Highly recommended.

Great people, great services, great apartment complex.In 2020, every businesses and communities are suffering from the pandemic. The Avalon team is keeping the community attractive, opening facilities following health guidelines including gym, swimming pool. While it is limited compared to previous years, I respect the team providing the best they can. In addition, the team is providing fun virtual events such as trivia night, paint night, holiday recipes. It is a lovely place to live even during this challenging days.Shuttle services to Alewife station every weekdays morning and afternoon. Event for community gives us chance to speak with neighbors such as BBQ during summer, halloween for children and Christmas holiday event. Maintenance team is really helpful from minor appliance replacement to unexpected issues. Residents portal makes life easier when you have any request. Simply open ticket, then Avalon team will takes care for you. When having an issue with home appliance, raise a ticket and maintenance team will come quickly as possible and solve the problem.Chris is a great guy from the maintenance team, he came to solve the fridge issue with strange sound and burned light bulbs inside. He analyzed fridge using tools, analyzed back and identified only the light is causing a problem, not entire fridge. We are impressed with how he took the steps to find the problem, not simply replacing a light bulb.Michael is the go to guy in this apartment complex. I would recommend to speak with him if you are interested in this apartment, or you are resident but havent got any chance to speak with him.Avalon team is keep making residents life better! Renovations are done in many apartments already in last year, new kitchen shelf with brand new appliances are installed, bathroom is also refreshed!Mustafa from the maintenance team is another great team in this Avalon at Lexington Hills. After he took the work order through the portal, he calls us for the best time to come, checks the problem and never seen him anything unresolved!Great apartment, great community, great Avalon team!

Been living here for 8 months now after moved in from Japan.We were quite nervous moving in USA but Im enjoying my life living at this place, and the best thing is, my family love this place.The people living here is also kind.

Nicely sized and modern apartments. Common areas are nicely maintained such as the pool, clubhouse, playgrounds and greens. Staff are very responsive be it notifying you of packages or their repair service (always done within 24 hr). Visible effort to keep things nice and clean. Only downsides are pricey (but you are getting luxury) and parking is sparse. We have lived here for 6 months and love it.

I went to Avalon at Lexington Hills for some mountain biking. The biking is OK for beginner and intermediate riders. The mosquitoes are assertive in June and July so bring bug-dope.Avalon also has a nice walking path from both its entrances. If you want to roller-blade or roller-ski, the path is OK.I know nothing about the actual benefits of living at Avalon.

Avalon of Lexington Hills is a great location and property. Ricky and Josh are outstanding in facilities management. We are happy to be here. Rob is the property manger and he does an amazing job of juggling the needs of the property as a whole while maintaining individualized attention to the residents. This is a very pet friendly property. The Avalon community is multigenerational—which has suited us nicely as a three generation family. It’s very cozy and a short distance from our daily staple of Wilson’s Farm (amazing treasure for a farmers market and garden center). The property is pretty quiet and aesthetically well maintained.One Consideration:While this is not an Avalon issue per se, the only part that threw me was the way the Lexington Public Schools address school assignment for both of the Avalon Lexington properties. They have quotas for how many kids from each grade can go to the ‘zoned schools’ and then if there is an applicant after the quota is met—the child might get assigned somewhere else. So, you might have a kindergartner and second grader at the ‘zoned school’ and a third grader at another elementary school because the third grade quota was met. That felt like Lexington treats the Avalon residents like an education infrastructure burden to be managed. This aspect didn’t prevent us from moving here, but it is worth calling the Lexington Public Schools Central Office for more details so you can be fully informed when making a decision. We have no regrets.

Lovely place to stay for the past two years with knowing a lot of new friends and enjoying the sweet place with my family! Highly recommended for its tidiness and great service!!

This is an extremely quiet apartment. The only sound you could hear at night is the singing of crickets.This is the place to live if you love nature. The sunset view from the balcony is absolutely breathtaking.When it comes to services, you could not ask for more. Maintenance staff would drive from another town to fix your problem on Saturdays and Sundays, five minutes after you submit your service request online.

Very good services provided by the management office and maintenance staff. All of them are friendly and helpful. I am glad that I can live here for 8 years.

Stayed here for about 3 months on a temporary assignment. Rather than go into a ton of detail Ill just give you some pros and cons.PROS:Close to Waltham and Lexington shops/dining/grocery. 5 minutes away. Wilson Farm also less than 5 minutes away. Bike and Walking paths galore. Semi quiet rural setting. Ample parking. Gym and pool on site (seasonal) If you have young kids there is a Great Lawn with playground equipment and HUGE green area for them to run around and play in. There arent a ton of kids here and never had noise issues with them as well. Maintenance staff and management are top notch. Maintenance staff super friendly and really on top of any issues that arise.CONSSome of the units may not be insulated very well. Finding your place this first time is frustrating and trying to explain the layout to someone who has never been here is an awful experience. Every day I get stopped on my walks by people unsure of what building they are going to.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place in Lexington.

Great place to live!

Our 1.5 yr stay was very good. The office is receptive to request and maintenance requests are handled quickly.

When I had facility problems, the staff always visited us promptly. Now Josh is in charge of it and always solves the problems perfectly. Im very happy to have him here.

I have lived here for eleven wonderful happy years this place is clean the maintenance staff goes beyond their capabilities to keep the property well maintained that when ever i have needed any kind of help the office staff has always been able to assist me in every way i feel safe here when i drive up the hill to come home i am grateful i am part of this community .

So for the most part the leasing office people are helpful and friendly but Ive been having problems with getting things fixed or replaced Ive been here for 11 years and starting to feel getting anything done in this complex you have to do it yourself. Ive had a squirrel problem since April and when I asked for the remodeling everyone else is having but they give me the run around. The messed up thing is I had to tell them I was going to hold rent and lawyer before they came to look at the squirrel problem and to try to fix it. Ive also had a toilet problem they have tried to fix 10 times and still leaking and instead of calling today to see how to make it right they were more worried about this post.

Fantastic management and staff in the leasing office! The maintenance team are efficient and always do a thorough job.

I would like to write a few words in appreciation for the professional service that Michael Borey in the Administration Office promptly addressed as soon as we brought it up to his attention. Been here almost 2 years the other day almost got hit head on by a maintenance worker named Moe Lamilh(has happened before) called office only to have them say they will talk to OT about it but nothing ever gets resolved . just like the tenants doing the same thing i dont even like leaving my apartment with my daughter to take a walk if i wanted to because of the safety of everyone driving 40mph around this place. Including coming up the drive way so many people go around us and cross the double lines and almost take us out, being a few times then maintenance and tenants some thing needs to change before the summer and a child gets hurt or worse!!!!!!!!! ps. I didnt want to put any stars but it makes you.
