Employees do not have an understanding of passport requirements. They were willing to deny the information on their own website regarding eligibility. Save time and drive to a more professional location.

Worst post office in the entire state. Constantly delivering to the wrong mailbox or wrong house in my neighborhood for several years. Says package delivered and no one showed up at time of delivery only to find delivered to another home 1/2 a mile away. Pathetic.

This location is the best. Everytime that I have called my issue was resolved. I dont know who the young lady is that answers the phone but she is always very nice and professional. Everytime I go to this lcation they are always professional. I want to thank tthe young lady who answers my call, Thank you!!!!

When Ralph isnt delivering the mail, it is a disaster. My mail and packages go missing all the time when he is off. I get other peoples mail all the time. I should be on the payroll for all the mail I deliver to other addresses. No one answers the phone. When I put in a claim, no one replied. Almost want to move just to get a different PO.

Could y’all not open our mail and packages please and thank you.

This is the worst post office ever. They loose mail. The lady at the front desk is very rude. They reuse to give me my mail when I went to pick up. I know I had mail their because I have the informed delivery that tells me what mail is coming. The lady wouldn’t even go look for it. Even after showing her that i knew it was supposed to be there. So now I have no way of getting the important piece of mail I need.

On 10/14 I was supposed to receive two packages. One they put in my mailbox the other at my door. I did not receive the one that was supposed to come to my door. Whoever the mail carrier was scanned it and put it on the wrong door. Whoever has my shoes isnt giving them back. No one has yet reached out to me, called me or even offered an apology nor a replacement. Ive put in a complaint several times already.

Very slow and poor customer service. Really hate coming here.Update: Just moved, I changed my address and tried to get a mail key....was told it takes 2 weeks and I can’t get the mail that’s in there now (I already have mail in there). I went up there on a Thursday and was told to come back Saturday or Monday to get my mail, I decided to wait until Monday to give it enough time....lol joke was on me. Came in at 9:30am on Monday to get my mail and was told I had nothing there and there wasn’t even paperwork on it.......so I need to come back tomorrow and check.This place is a joke. If my front door open, the mail man for Southampton Dr will not delivery my mail. I have screen door what the problem. This is crazy he come to fence see the door open go to next house. Which mean I have mail.

Delivery is always late even if priority shipping is used so don’t waste your money. Delivery updates are always wrong. One of the office staff members had an attitude and was extremely unhelpful. Horrible service.

Delivery from this PO is utterly berserk. Enterprise newspapers were randomly delivered with both Wed and Fri on top of each other, sometimes not at all, sometimes 4 days late. No way to tell who is at fault. They are typically unavailable by phone. Their delivery trucks are broke down on our route twice within 2 weeks. At the top is at least one supervisor who is totally incompetent and belligerent. USPS needs to totally clean house down there. THE WORST.

The post office itself isnt bad but mail delivery is terrible. I and my neighbors have gone days to a week without mail.

Post office in Lexington Park MD is just terrible. About every other week I get somebody elses mail and vise versa. Now they claim they cant deliver a package due to a dog threat. Same dog, with same house for 12 years now ie. my senior yellow lab most gentle dog ever that ups and fed ex never a problem with. I read some mail carrier post about mail delivery being a privilege and I think that pretty much sums up this government agencys attitude and all I can say to that if you cant do the job get the hell out of the way and let a competent business like ups take it over.

I sent a package to my son.. a week a later it came back as “UTF” ... they didn’t even try!I texted a picture to my son and asked what was wrong with the address he said nothing, it was absolutely correct! I sent other items they were delivered.. so I resent the same item, didn’t change a thing... it got delivered!Come on people do your jobs!! But at least now I know, use Fed Ex when shipping anything important!!

Not only are the carriers incompetent, they are also liars. My packages are constantly marked as delivered and placed in your mailbox and they never are. I live in an apartment complex and they simply drop them off at the leasing office. No clue why they do this unless they are just lazy, but it is a major inconvenience. Im hardly ever home during the hours the office is open and sometimes it takes me weeks to get what I ordered. Ive complained to this post office numerous times and nothing has been done. Every time I talk to someone there they assure me they are going to speak to the carrier and call me back. It never happens. This place is a complete joke and should be shut down.

Okay so walking into this establishment the people that work on the inside and wonderful humble very just brighten your day kind of people now the ones that come up to my door well they need some more training underneath the bright ones over in that main office over there I mean come on you fill out all the proper paperwork and they still dont get the mail to your home right you go in and try to ask about it and she leaves your mailbox open to rain can destroy your mail I mean come on people either do your jobs or get a different one how about paying bills you have two lives and be humbled to not to mention when you have outgoing mail it doesnt get taken it gets left so send you get to take it over to blue boxes thanks for that sweetheart its just another thing I get to do in my day no worries!

The people inside the building are usually wonderful, which is the ONLY reason I am giving two stars. My carrier regularly puts our mail in my neighbors boxes. They will not bring packages that must be signed for to our house. My neighbors have the same problems.

Just moved here in April. OMG. About half the week, I dont get ANY mail. I mostly just get the adds they give everyone. Birthday check...returned by them. Insurance check, UNDELIVERABLE!!! I called to check. How is that even possible?!?! 3 different mail persons since I moved here and when you ask them, they have LITERALLY no clue what to tell you. Its clear that the mail on the base at Pax is NOT a priority! Theres only so much assigned to base housing. You would THINK it would make it slightly easier. If I could give a negative review I would!!! My neighbors report the same issues and the base post office too. When will we be a priority!!!!

I’ve lived in Lexington Park for three years and never had an issue at this location. The biggest issue I’ve seen is that customers want the workers to bend their backs for them. If you don’t do your research prior to coming...there is always tomorrow. They are not answering the phone because they are working. Go to the store or actually solve your own issue. Don’t expect them to pack things for you and especially expect to pay for packing items. Complaints are welcomely received at your local UPS. Oh, wait there is no UPS. Sweet Dreams.

The lady at the front desk is always really rude. The lady in the back who helped me with a package that didnt get delivered was super nice and helpful. She helped me sort everything out and even told me that shed call me once she sorted out a different issue.

Worst post office ever loses packages on a regular basis. The front desk employees have an attitude and act like its my fault but the manager lady in the back is very nice and helps me everytime I have had a problem the 1 star I gave is for her and her alone. I lived in Mechanicsville MD for 36 years and never once have they lost any of my mail/packages. I moved to Lexington Park and have only been here for about 3 months and have already lost 5 packages. I am pretty sure I know what the problem is but I will keep it to myself.

Zero stars. They lie and dont deliver packages and I have spent so many times going up there to find them. I pray you have good neighbors that will give you your package because they will mess it up. Lived a lot of places and never seen a post office like this.

UPDATE:I had to update my review based on my experience today. I have had bad experiences in the past, as you can read in my review below, but today has changed my opinion on this location.I worked with Cathleen (I believe that was her name) and am so appreciative of her help. I dont send out many packages and was unprepared with the boxes I was planning to ship out. She lent me some tape and a marker to prepare my boxes and had a calm, pleasant demeanor. She never made me feel rushed or like the nuisance I knew I was. It was grade A customer service!----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The workers at this location are not at all friendly. I have dreaded the few times Ive had to go into this post office because of the attitude of the workers. Now I cant even get them on the phone it says Were unable to complete your call at this time every time I call.

Ive gotten several failed attempt to deliver notifications from shippers. Talked to the nicest lady at the California post office (geographically closer, but apparently not ours) who informed me that theyve been instructed not to have mail carriers out past 3pm because of the snow (its mostly melted off the roads and is above freezing most of the way through the night). Fine, Ill come pick up the small mountain of my mail Im sure you have to deliver but this location wont answer the phone when you call. Im not driving out there to be told my stuff isnt there or I cant pick it up. Not that Im surprised. Ive had post office employees at other locations pick up the phone and promptly hang up, then leave the phone off the hook.

I give this location zero stars. Honestly the employees are the least helpful people ever. I wish there was a way to make my mail go through a different location without me having to move. Avoid at all costs.

Professional, helpful staff. Theyve even helped me find ways to ship items via cheaper methods. Definitely one of the best offices Ive been to.

Lazy lazy lazy. The men working the front area while sitting on stools. No greeting to customers at at. Didnt want to help me with my issue. Just told me I dont know what to tell you. Worse customer service ever. Now my mailman is an exception to this location. Hire people who want to work inside. Teach customer service skills. Oh and most of the time when you call its BUSY!

Called two times and the phone just rang and rang until my phone provider interrupted and cut off the call since no one was answering. Filed in person at the post office for mail forwarding on Nov 25 and on Dec 3 our realtor told us mail was still being delivered to the old address. Unbelievable.

Quick, friendly, and efficient service. IN and OUT for mailing a passport renewal in under 5 minutes. And they even asked to double check that I had included the necessary picture :)

I wish I could give a negative star. I believe this place needs to be completely wiped and everyone currently working there terminated soon and bring in some actual professionals. Package VERY frequently put in the wrong box, delayed for no reason, rude customer service and no concern for efficiency. Avoid these guys at all costs. Pay the little extra to have real people from ups or FedEx deliver.

Wait time on the phone is over an hour.. absolutely ridiculous! Requested a delivery online and never got the redilvery.. they left a pink slip in my mailbox saying they tried to deliver a package when I know they didnt... I was home the whole time waiting on the package..

The staff here are really nice and like to talk, they do the best that they can and are very pleasant in general if youre not a jerk to them.

Worst post office I have ever lived around. I have had packages come opened or delivered to the wrong address NUMEROUS times. One package that I sent with gifts in it to friends in California was opened, and repackaged with items that were VERY inappropriate for the kids that opened them, and some of the gifts were missing altogether. Negative stars would be perfect for this place. VERY disappointed in this post office.

Applied for a new passport, they were very unspecific about what documentations I needed to bring. Copier was broken, had to bring my own copies of my documentation. After I got expedited application in and requested it to be expedited, two weeks later when I should have received my passport, I instead received a letter requesting my old passport card before my application could even be processed! They did not tell me at the post office I needed to turn it in, so then I had to wait longer for my passport that I intended to be expedited! Very uninterested service and I do not like coming here.

Ive been living at my residence for over 14 years and never before have I ever been so disappointed in the postal service until now. For over a week I wasnt receiving any mail and the day that I decided to go down and find out where my mail was, I couldnt get any straight answers from anyone at the Lexington Park facility. Instead all I got was questions of did I put in for a change of address. I even explained to them that mine and my Fiancé names were not even in our mailbox anymore. Their reply was that shouldnt effect us from getting our mail.So, I called the post master generals office to register a formal complaint, they in turn are going to send in request and investigation into the matter and see why my mail was being held up for over a week.The day that I decide to complain is the same day that I finally receive my mail.Im appalled at the way this post office treats their customers and more importantly show no regards in trying to help when needed.LEXINGTON PARK OFFICE SHOULD BE RECONFIGURED and CERTAIN PEOPLE SHOULD BE RE-EVALUATED IN THEIR OPERATIONAL POSITIONS, especially if they are going to keep providing such crappy service.

They are worst post office Ive ever experienced. We get other peoples mail all the time and others get our mail as well. We are a place of business, so this type of problem is not convenient. We would also would like our mail to come close to the same time every day.

Four pieces of mail that we know of have gone missing in the last three months without explanation. Amazon 2-day delivery items are frequently marked as delivered on time and then arrive several days after notification of delivery. Other packages state delivered and never come.

Sometimes they have a bit of a line but if you are nice to them, they are nice to you. Typically understaffed so the ppl that work there are usually tired, overworked.

Nothing but stupid people with attitudes working there. No help at all.

Always late with packages or deliveries to wrong address

Like the last review, I can confirm that they are extremely rude and not at all interested in helping anyone with their concerns. Every time I come in to pick something up or send it away I am immediately met with a bad attitude. Just as bad over the phone. Ive never experienced worst service through any post office.

They lost 2 of my packages in one day and instead of the (careless)carrier saying I may have put it at the wrong address they expect me to believe my stuff was stolen completely unexceptable and undertrained.

Tried to call this post office 2 days in row phone always busy. went in to try and turn passport paper work and was told I need a appointment this is something that couldve been handle over the phone if the ever answered them. the service at this post office seem to be sub par.

The slowest mail area I have ever lived (and I have lived in much more rural communities). I have also received multiple opened mails and gift cards are open, but who knows where that happens along the route.The carriers are very friendly and dependable, but the general service is horrible.

I never get my mail, all of scentbird perfume I haven’t seen. So I go in there and this heavy set black man won’t even go in the back and look. He told me just go check my old mail box which they changed the locks on. Now I’m I hardly get anything.

This place is a joke I spouse to get a money order from a family friend to help pay for my month pass for the bus. i think they stole it since I get my mail in a PO box I spouse to have something in there everyday. i think I got scammed by the US postal Service

This location is the word place of business I have ever gave my money to. my PO Box was locked I go in there to pay the PO box they denied me my mail as well as denied me reopening my PO Box I am going to review and contact whoever I need to contact to be refunded my money for this PO box

VERY POOR SERVICE!! The Carriers are making decisions as to if mail should or should not be delivered (based on if you have a car in your yard?!, no management or supervisor seems to ever be on duty!

HORRIBLE post office!!! They have delivered tons of opened mail, often with items missing from the packages. They have also lost a lot of mail and any time I try calling their phone is off the hook for days at a time. This office should be closed and investigated by the police for opening and stealing peoples mail.

Horrible customer service. Rude and unprofessional. Dont bother calling and asking for help because youll just get an attitude and left on hold for forever.
