Transmission went out, was told that a used one would be installed, checked after 10 days, was told my transmission was removed from truck, rebuilt, all without my knowledge and it was a bench job. One mechanic removed the transmission, another guy rebuilt it elsewhere, another mechanic reinstalled it. It wasnt checked out correctly, 4 wheel drive transfer case not reconnected, transmission doesnt shift smoothly and there were problems using the air conditioning. The service technicians checked out the issues and of course blamed them on other things associated with the truck. NEVER HAD ANY OF THOSE ISSUES BEFORE, just not a good shop to get quality service and this isnt my first time with questionable work but will be my LAST TIME.
Seriously the best. I’ve stopped by once and they were able to fit me in for a quick oil change. I called the next time before hand and they were able to fit me in same day for an oil change and tire rotation. They have the best service and are willing to work with you. Nice guys all around.
Dey cool wit me.Dig how dey do bizniss as a whole.
Car was towed following an arrest, first shock was the charge, then the daily storage charge despite being closed. When questions were asked about the charges, and the breakdown shown, the proprietor became angry, aggressive and belligerent. He then stated he would no longer accept card payments and demanded cash.I will be following this to ensure that refunds are issued for the ridiculous charges. My experience was completely unlike the many good reviews
I have had several different maintenance activities completed here. They are always very respectable. They listen and answer all my questions. The mechanics are very knowledgeable. Price of work is reasonable. I definitely recommend.
Mark who is the owner of auto pro will always do a standup job concerning my cars vehicle health and I will never go to another mechanic besides Mark or Bell’s over by gray mills road! Same day service and no ridiculous upcharges like jiffy lube. Cant be beat!
Feeling a bit concerned. The dealer actually charged me less to fix my car. The dealer also said what AutoPro diagnosed as a problem was not a concern unless I was going to keep my car another 20 years. A difference of 900 dollars. Not sure I will go back to AutoPro unless its basic maintenance.
The only people to ever touch my truck other than me. Trustworthy, honest and very friendly. One 9f the most down to earth shops around.
What a terrific operation. Mark has fixed our cars for years and always is pleasant and professional. Cars are a hard business -- I cant imagine the diversity of products and range of problems being more challenging. Like an airline trying to operate profitably with 20 different planes. We had a forklift starter fail and Marks team picked it up, fixed it and had it back within a day. Previously this would be a week of hassle and the difficulty of running the farm without it. Thanks, Mark and crew!
I TRUST Mark and his crew to take care of my vehicles and have for many years. He goes out of his way to be helpful and it is rare to find a garage that is not trying to shaft you. He has worked on farm trucks, our cars for many years and I hope he stays in business for a long time to come!
In my opinion best prices around for a oil change. Everyone is very friendly.
The whole crew there are awesome . Good quality work for a price that wont leave you feeling like you got beat.. wouldnt take my car anywhere else.. Thanks Auto Pro
So far Im very unimpressed unprofessional business they quoted several prices did not honor any of them said computers need to didnt I made them aware that their client they didnt have to but they didnt want to believe it now theyre also adding on more stuff thats not necessary not needed and of course change the price all over again and ask for deposit I mean the part of line is is $1,200 no telling what theyre going to try to charge for labor was supposed to be the last day Friday was the original ready atexand when I asked to speak to mechanic he wasnt there he was going to call but magically showed up two seconds later when I got online and begin to show people what they were about. The receptionist was just extremely rude and I really hope they do something about it because theyre going to lose a lot of business and Trust I know I wont send anybody there from here on out one things for sure that car better operate like its brand new I have no choice but obtain lawyer. Some people. We willl aww what happens its my sitera car her money so im just here oversee so this isnt her feelings she dont know cars ro well and is afraid if she says anything the will mess it up more or charger more nuat a shame.
Highly-Recommended: Thomas got my vehicle in quickly for a quick diagnosis and pressed out a seal for a water pump (side-project) that I brought to him. Very knowledgeable guy, taught me something new about my car and took good care of her the whole time. Got a great deal to top it all off!
Car got broken into on lot. Company did nothing to compensate. Acted like it was no big deal. Would never use them or recommend.
Best place to get cars repaired. Mark is very reasonable in prices
Always friendly great prices
I had a serious transmission fluid leak on a 94 Cadillac. I called Mark ahead of time and left the car in front of his place in the evening, fully expecting to be without the car for several days. The NEXT day he called to say I could pick-up the car. It was a hose, which somehow theyd found within hours. The car was out of my hands for less than 24 hours and the total charge was very reasonable, which has been the case every time Ive used Marks.
Marks Automotive had my Suzuki x90 for almost 6 weeks and their customer service, or lack thereof, left me in tears one too many times. They were convinced it needed to be totaled and wasnt worth their time. They even made me order my own parts. I feel like the work that was done was not worth the $700 they charged me & Progressive. I found the cam and brackets sitting under the hood loose, spark plugs and bolts left under the windshield wipers, and the radiator was left sitting on the spare tire on the safari rack. I took plenty of pictures along the way too and have everything documented to back me up in this complaint.
My go to place since iv been in St Marys County, they will treat u like family, and take care of whatever u need. They go above and beyond what there asked, well at least that is my experience, Mark has a heart of Gold,
Went in and ask questions and the fromt desk guy was very understanding and they offer tow service and deal with many insurance companies.
Absolutely the best place to get some help with anything that has to be done with your automobile. thank you very much for your help...
I went in to Marks a week and a half ago because a friend had told me I needed to get my transmission fluid changed, which made sense because my 05 Camry has about 150,000 miles on it. I asked for a full flush and, since one of my headlights had gone out a couple days earlier, asked them to change the headlight bulb while theyre at it. They didnt charge me labor on the headlight (just $7 for the bulb), and gave me an average price for the full flush (~$120) so I left happy. Two days later I go to turn on my headlights and see that the bulb is still out. I figure that the bulb wasnt the problem in the first place, that a fuse is blown or something, but Im a little annoyed that they didnt bother even checking if the light would turn on. I go in on my lunch break the next day and they apologize and tell me it wasnt screwed in all the way so they fix it (of course, I make sure it turns on this time) and I go on my way. No big deal.A week and a half later, I go into my tire place because Im overdue for new tires and Im about to go on a road trip. I ask them to check, while theyre at it, that everything is ship shape for the long drive. Well, guess what -- they call me to say that my transmission fluid is years old and badly needs changing! At this point I think that they must be trying to rip me off -- I got a full flush a week and a half ago! This must be a blatant lie! But they insist, and tell me to come look at the fluid -- sure enough it is exactly the dark brown color it was before Marks ever got to it.I go into Marks on my lunch break, and ask to talk to Mark. He hears my story and says well, maam, I dont believe that. [The tire place] is a bunch of lying idiots. We always do the full flush. I insist, and he pulls out my invoice from their records -- sure enough, he says, we charged you $120. Thats definitely a full flush. Im like, I understand you CHARGED me for a full flush, but that doesnt explain my dark brown transmission fluid! Finally he agrees to go out to my car and look. It is dark brown. He wipes the dipstick and puts it back. It is still dark brown. He tastes the fluid (??), spits it out, wipes it again, puts it back, takes it out, and it is still dark brown. He pauses for a few seconds before saying ah. I see. We cant do a full flush on your car [not true, I found out later] so we did a drain-and-fill. Thats why theres still some brown here, because the four quarts of new liquid mixed with two quarts of the old liquid. This then devolves into another rant about the idiots that did my tires. Now I am willing to believe that they did the drain-and-fill, because looking online I can see that the color does often remain brown (though to my admittedly untrained eye, it was no lighter than before...). However, this means that they charged me $120 for what should have cost half that, at the very most. Like I said, when Mark saw the $120 charge before looking at the fluid, he said that it must have been a full flush -- yet when I pointed this discrepancy out, he avoided the question and insisted that a reasonable drain-and-fill costs that much. While we were arguing this out he had the nerve to chuckle and say I see that we didnt charge you labor on the headlight fix. But of course youre not complaining about that little favor, are you? which 1. is irrelevant 2. is utterly disrespectful, since my complaints were valid and 3. OF COURSE NO SELF RESPECTING CAR PLACE IS GOING TO CHARGE YOU LABOR FOR CLIPPING IN A BULB ESPECIALLY IF THEY DONT EVEN DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.I ended up leaving without my $120. Do not make my mistake!
Ok. I have read these past reviews and all I can do to put you at ease is give you a synopsis of my situation. I have a 2002 t-bird. Its a very complex vehicle that requires a high level of expertise to work on. My car needed a fuel pump and wouldnt run (obviously). I spoke with Mark and they picked up my car and took it to the garage for me. I was given a quote by Marcia the next day and gave my permission to do the work. 3 working days later my car was ready for pickup. I showed up to pay for the work and pick up my car and was pleasantly surprised to see that the work order was $150 less than the quote. I was giddy. I went to check on my car and the battery was dead (prior to the work being done, I had to let it sit for 6 mos while I saved up some money). Knowing that, and the battery in its 4th year of service was enough to warrant the need for a new one. I told Marcia where and when I purchased the old battery and the next morning she was on the phone and had all the logistics worked out for me so that all I had to do was pay for the new battery and they would deliver it to the garage for me. The new battery was installed and here I sit telling my story to you. Id like to say a few things. The work was done right, Marcia went above and beyond to try and make my life a little easier when she didnt have to, and I am happy with the result. I give them an A++ for their expertise, initiative, and customer service. In addition, the final price also included an oil change that wasnt included in the original quote. Win-win.
I would highly recommend this business. They are professional, fairly priced, and always timely. Their pricing is at least half of Jiffy Lube type stores.
After my car died I had it towed to Marks Automotive. After they could not determine the cause theytook it to the dealer two separate times before the dealer solved the problem (a bad immobilizer unit).Once fixed, the car showed signs of a misfire which wasnt there prior to the failed immobilizer. Theycontinued to work on it including two more trips to the dealer and to the extent of pulling the wholeengine and installing new valves. This still did not fix the misfire. At 4.5 months of having my car theytold me that they couldnt fix it and that I should come and settle up the bill. When I collected the car it had a large dent in the front quarter panel that was not there prior to bringing it to Marks and all of the trim and carpet from the passenger foot well was still pulled out leaving the ECU dangling in place by the wires. I then had the car towed to the dealer. The dealer determined that it was a poor connection in the offending cylinders wiring harness and fixed the issue which solved the misfire. Unfortunately the dealer found significant oil leaking from the engine which turned out to be due to improper re-installation of the cam seals during the valve job by Marks. I then had to pay the dealer to repair the damage that Marks caused. It took the dealer 1 week to have the car back to me in good working order. During the 4.5 months that they had my car they didnt call me once. I had to call them on a regular basis to determine if I needed to make any decision about how to proceed and to make sure that they were continuing to work on the car.
They needed to go to the dealer to buy one of the parts I needed. I had priced the part at the dealer which was the reason why I didnt go to the dealer to begin with. They supplied me the dealer part at wholesale cost which was cheaper than I could have gotten it for.
Excellent work love them best in park for minor or big costly jobs they have saved my life multiple times thanks guys
Affordable, Trustworthy and will do more work than other places.
Best mechanics awesome service
This place is fantastic! Great staff and family. Mark is spot on.
Horrible!! My husband took his truck there for an alignment, and the steering is now messed up. You have to struggle to keepnitnon the road. Took it back so they could correct it, and they did not hi ingredients! Didnt even drive it. Now having to take it somewhere else to get it fixed.
I wouldnt take your European import there. My car left in worse shape than I dropped it off on. Was there for 10 days and all they did was make it worse and jerk me around with him what was wrong. Finally they admitted I should take it to the dealership. They had it done in one day, they found a part missing likely caused in the 10 days of them messing around under the hood. Id give zero stars.
I wouldnt think of anywhere else i would want to take my truck, and car,, iv known Mark and family for many many yrs, he has busted his but and worked hard to get were he is and has the experience to back up his work, and his rep, tells it all, very proud to say hes my mechanic, and friend,
Crashed car towed to Marks Automotive after hours. Despite car being in a locked lot - with cameras - the tool box in the trunk was stolen overnight. Owner and tow truck driver claim they do not know what happened to the tool box .... hmmm ...
Fast and great service does great fleet work as well
Fast and affordable service.
Very good service.
If I could give a no star review I would I took my car to here for an oil change and they did not put oil back in it I had to get it towed to another mechanic and replace the motor when I called to get the problem fixed the owner mark called me a liar so needless to say dont bring your car to these crooks
Lie, cheat and steal ! Story too upsetting to relive ! Beware, took me for thousands, and I was a friend !
