One of my monitors started experiencing a known issue with that model monitor where it will not come on once it warms up. City Electronics was able to replace the damaged capacitors and the monitor was good as new. Well worth it and now additional E-Waste in the landfill.

Dropped off a piece of equipment for evaluation. Time will tell. First impression that a return call on Friday after closing time was that Im going to receive good service.

This place is very good on your equipment they know what theyre doing and are quick it was there for only 2 days and the price is good much cheaper than buying a new tv

Had an issue with a television called City Electronics and was able to schedule an appointment within 48 hours. Michael arrived on time - was friendly and professional. The problem was minor and resolved within 15 minutes. I will definitely contact City Electronics if I ever require TV repair again.

Dropped my TV off and in about 4 day went to pick it up and works like a charm.

I had a Sony dual tape deck that needed the belts replaced. Mike was awesome to work with. He was very responsive, called me after diagnosing to let me know the cost and fixed it very quickly after having to order the belts.

WOW, what a throw back to days when small shops really cared. Mike was amazing. Called him on Monday late afternoon about our busted TV. He came over that evening, tried to fix it, needed a part, came back the next day and we are up and running. Incredible reasonable pricing and FANTASTIC customer service in a day and time that a lot of businesses have forgotten how. He is polite, professional and really good. So proud to have met him and now know him.

Had a problem with our Sharp microwave and they sent Mikal of City Electronics for the repair. One of the best experiences ever. He was on time, courteous, friendly and knew exactly what to do. Did not mind me watching and actually had a great conversation. Very respectful of our home, took care of the problem and cleaned up. Would highly recommend him. Will call them again when needed.

Very unprofessional. I tried to email them to get a quote and I was met with a very rude employee. Mikal was unnecessarily rude over email. I am not even upset that they dont offer in-home TV repairs, just annoyed that they were so rude to a potential customer.REPLY TO OWNER:The problem is not necessarily them not able to come out and repair the TV. While I don’t think that is accessible, I would’ve came to the store if they were more professional via email. It’s the unprofessionalism that bothered me! I was willing to pay but no longer because of their rudeness.

Mikel is great to work with. I took in 2 TVs that had been damaged in a lightning strike. He could have fixed them but he was very honest with me about tv the cost of the parts being close to the price of new TVs. Mikel even offered to dispose of them at no extra charge. It is refreshing to deal with an honest businessman! I will definitely do business with him in the future!

FANTASTIC SERVICE...My SAMSUNG TV kept shutting down off and on for over a year. Michael, the owner fixed it for me for a total of $35.00 after doing a complete check up on it. Any other company could have changed out the mother board for $ 270.00 in addition to doing the software upgrade which is all that it needed. I trust this company and appreciate their honesty and fairness in this day and age where so many people get ripped off. The owner was beyond helpful and nice...had to get a TV inspected for an insurance claim and he got it right in and checked out in less than an hour!be prepared for a mess as he was trying to build new shelving and storage when I was there but it had absolutely no effect on his customer service!

Worst experience i have ever had with a person. Wouldn’t even get up from her seat. Called ahead to make sure i could get done what i needed and they wouldn’t help me. Wast of time, gas and money.**reply**Like i said from earlier, the lady wouldn’t even get out of her seat. I told her over the phone i would have to find a car to bring the tv. I did just that. The tv was way to big to carry in without talking to the front desk first therefore i left it in the car. If she would have looked at the paper she would have seen that the model number was not on it. Nothing was filled out by me at all, and her response wouldn’t give me the time of day. Ur reply is invalid and everyone should go to ray at bright electronics because he let me talk, let me explain my situation, is opening the store early for me, so i can get back to work. Absolutely fantastic service. Mikal is very genuine and upfront to level set customers expectations on what can be fixed and when it would be better to just purchase a new TV - which is a rarity! Mikal took my tv in that had an intermittent power on and off issue, and he took the time to rebuild my power board to fix the issue. Cant recommend Mikal and City Electronics enough! Great service!

Fixed my projector cheaper then buying a new one

Mike is an extremely honest and nice guy. My TV wouldnt turn on so I called him to come out. After working all day, he came out to my house later that evening and fixed my TV on the spot. He had worked on it previously and had put in a power supply. The power supply was defective so he put in another one and it worked. He refunded me for the power supply and didnt charge me for the call out service because the part was under warranty. He is extremely knowledgeable and will take care of you. I highly recommend him.

I was so impressed with the service I received at City Electronics. Our house was struck by lightening and it affected many of our electronics. We honestly thought our tv was a goner but thought we would give City Electronics a try. We dropped it off on a Monday and they called us Tuesday with a very honest quote. We were able to pick it up on Wednesday! Great finding an honest and reliable shop!

Without an appointment, I took my TV for repairs. the owner/manager was busy and by himself, but could not have been more helpful and patient with me. I found him very honest and repaired my TV the same day. He could have named his own price, but was very fair. there is no place else i would take my TV

They are very honest and provided quick turnaround for my TV repair. I took my TV in because the audio had gone out. Before even bringing it in, I spoke with the owner and he said to have the cable company reset the cable box first so I dont spend money on repairs if it isnt necessary. That didnt work, so I took it in. He was able to reset the TV on the same day, and I picked it up that afternoon. He could have told me something else was wrong and charged me much more, but he didnt. Im very appreciative and they have my business forever!

Hello, Michael here. Excellent, extremely honest repair shop! Brought in a 42 Vizio LED from 2012, and the store manager plugged it in and tested it before doing anything else, and when it turned on correctly, he explained to me that the screen refusing to display can be caused by the main board, but my TV was just fine, and on top of that, I wasnt even charged a penny, and was told that if I do have any further issues with it to bring it back in! I will more than gladly take any broken television sets here from now on! Thank you for the help with my TV!!! I will definitely be back!

I was told that the bulb for my LCD would be in at 1:00pm and that I should show up after that time and they would install the bulb in the case. I showed up and was told that the wrong bulbs were shipped. The guy behind the counter called around and found a bulb in Richardson. He drove to Richardson and delivered my bulb in the case at my office in Grapevine by 2:40pm. I took to bulb home and it worked perfectly. Great job!!

Was just about to buy a new TV and thought I would at least get a quote on getting my 60 DLP fixed. Called and talked to Mike the owner and he said it was just the bulb after troubleshooting over phone. Not only did he troubleshoot the problem but waited some time after he closed for me to come and purchase a new one from him. He installed the new bulb into the housing for me and guaranteed that if that didnt fix then he would personally come to my house for free to troubleshoot further. Mike is extremely knowledgeable. I priced the replacement parts, and the repair price was fair. It was expensive, but half of what a new TV would have cost. They could have marked up the cost of the parts, but from what I can tell they didnt.

We were debating what to do with an old Samsung LCD tv that was showing multiple blurry images on its screen. The TV itself was more than seven years old. We were not sure if we should fix it or junk it.I called up City Electronics and spoke to Mike. Mike gave me several options on what it could be but would not be sure until he saw it. Then Mike gave us another option of stopping by the shop with the Tv or coming by the house. For $75 to stop by the house instead of us lugging it to him was a bargain in time savings for us.Mike stopped by on Tuesday on time even early for us. He easily diagnosed that the TV would be to costly to fix and that we should just buy a new one. Which was fine for us. Afterwards I asked how much it would cost to mount a new Tv in various places in the house.Mike was very professional and suggested what size TV we should purchase as well as what to buy for mounting.When we purchase the new TV and mount we will be sure to call Mike to have him mount the TV for us.Over all a great experience. I highly recommend City Electronics for all of you TV and TV mounting needs.

This place is not professional at all because all employees received instruction to defraud customers. They tell you they can do repair for a specific amount which is generally low amount and then once they get deposit, they increase cost of repairs double or even triple.

When I dropped off my TV I was told that repairs will not exceed $150. One month later I was told that I need to pay $425 for the repair or $100 just to get my tv back. New tv like that is $399. Very unprofessional and rip-off.
