My three kids and I have been students at Castle Hills Taekwondo America for a bit over a year now. Mr Anderson is a top notch instructor and has a fantastic rapport with his students. I can’t begin to fathom what it takes day to day to connect with students that range from toddlers to retired police sergeants, but he’s got it figured out… even when a pandemic throws a giant curve ball into the routine! Mr Anderson employs a great group of local kids and young adults who lead many of the classes and offer a great model for the students. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Not sure why it took me so long to write this review, but better late than never I suppose. My son has been a student here since 2016, and I have seen so much mental growth and maturity since he began. Mr. Anderson is such an amazing instructor. He is stern but fair, and equal fun and serious. Castle Hills Taekwondo America, Mr. Anderson, and the other instructors are great. Hands down, one of the best decisions we have made for our son.

Cant say enough good things about Castle Hills taekwondo! I and my three kids have been students for about a year and a half and have been continuously impressed. Instructors are the perfect blend of playful, cheerful, yet disciplined as well, and make learning complex moves easy and fun. Theyve also bent over backwards during the pandemic to make sure in person and online options are available to all students. While mostly focused on kids, I as an adult have never been more flexible and in shape than now!

Great martial arts school! They have a fantastic adult program with a friendly atmosphere. Wholeheartedly recommend this school over any others in the area

My 2 boys have really enjoyed their journey to black belt over the last 3 years. 8 months ago I started a trial and now Im completely hooked. I love the adult class, its challenging yet you can adapt to your abilities. Family classes are great together time, the boys love helping me learn!

This staff is amazing. Mr. & Mrs. Anderson are both kind-hearted, helpful, all-around good people. They teach respect, have the respect of their students, and most importantly, teach WITH respect for their students. I love that students instruct other students because my son has the opportunity to learn from lots of people. Young people are empowered here. I have absolutely nothing negative to say (they are even graciously understanding of my crazy toddlers who love to cause distractions!). I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!

We can’t recommend this school strongly enough. Our son went from his first class to currently a second degree black belt and still going. From the discipline and encouragement of the fabulous owners and every instructor to the incredibly supportive students of all ages, it was one of the best decisions we ever made for our son. This school creates a family.

I highly recommend Castle Hills Taekwondo America. Mr. Anderson is a fantastic instructor; he has great rapport with the kids while simultaneously pushing them to develop discipline and character. I like that the older / more advanced students have the opportunity to develop leadership skills. Its also a great workout, and a lot of fun, too! Our 4 year old son had been bugging us to try karate. We had just moved to Castle Hills and received a flyer in the mail about Castle Hills Taekwondo and decided to check it out. It has been a wonderful experience! Mr. and Mrs. Anderson and all of the teachers are amazing. The classes are well structured and really tailored for each belt level. We knew nothing of Taekwondo before this and they really have been patient and helpful in explaining all that goes into Taekwondo from belt testing to how to tie your childs belt! Our son loves to go to class. The teachers keep his attention the whole time and really keep class moving. We especially like the discipline in class. Its a great balance of no-nonsense and a great time! The kids are learning so much more than just kicks and punches. Our son has really picked up on the respect aspect that is most important in Taekwondo. His attitude towards adults, and other kids has improved since starting at CHT. We cant say enough about Castle Hills Taekwondo and cant wait to see how our son progresses. If you are looking for a school for your kids or yourself, this is it!

I started my Taekwondo journey at CHTA with my son two years ago. After having 4 children and not working out for many years this is what it took to ignite my passion for fitness again. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson foster a wonderful learning environment and the adult/childrens classes are amazing. The instructors are patient and have a wonderful ability to teach to any fitness level.

I have 2 sons and both are in Taekwondo class together. Mr. Anderson and the student instructors are excellent at training the students in techniques, self-control and at the same time making it fun and rewarding for them as they succeed in testing. This is a great after school activity that is very flexible with schedules!

My Daughter absolutely loves going to Taekwondo! It has given her so much confidence, She loves learning new forms, earning stripes and earning new belts! Mr & Mrs Anderson are amazing Instructors and encourage the kids to push their boundaries,They have an awesome state of the art family friendly facility .

My two grandsons are blessed to have spent two plus years at Castle Hills Taekwondo. The Andersons give so much time and energy to encourage each student to strive to do their best. It is the best fun activity and so rewarding, too!

My 8 year old wasnt interested in extra activity until we got CHTA flier and went for a trial class. The class turned out to be really exciting that he got enrolled the same day and since then looking forward to classes each and every day. The credit goes to the fun way of learning such a difficult art. All credit goes to Mr/Mrs Anderson and team. Keep up the amazing work.

CHTA so far has been great experience to our son. Not only it becomes his sport but also teaches him to be more discipline and more focused.

We have 3 children that have been lucky enough to attend classes at CH Taekwondo America. We would highly recommend them. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson are not only excellent instructors; they are extremely knowledgeable in their craft and extraordinary motivators. They are also extremely intelligent individuals as they have been smart enough to surround themselves with (or they have created/taught) the best staff ever. Mr. Anderson has successfully created a league of “mini me” instructors while still highlighting and celebrating each of his individual instructors’ gifts and contributions. My children have been able to learn from each of the instructors. Mr. Anderson has a gift to inspire students to do things that they would never have dreamed that they could do. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson instill great values and teach life lessons to all of their students. These students will never forget the experiences and the memories made while learning from them. The Andersons are more than fabulous instructors, they are an extension of our family. We feel blessed to be a part of such a great family.

My two boys and I have been going to Castle Hills Taekwondo for a little over two years now. We all three enjoy it very much. My oldest son has ADD and I have found that Taekwondo helps him with his focus and memory. My youngest son (not very athletic or coordinated) has medaled in both forms and sparing at tournaments which has given him a boost of confidence in other athletic areas. I find teakwood to be a great work out and as an, ahem, older lady...it has helped me with balance and memory. Sarah and Will are wonderful with the students and make it a lot of fun. They also teach respect, listening skills, and that its okay to fail, as long as you dont give up!

Mr and Mrs Anderson offer the perfect learning environment to all skillsets. Their energy and dedication to Taekwondo is stellar! The kids just gravitate to them and their awesome instructors!!! They are the perfect role models in the community! Highly recommend CH TKD!!

We’ve tried many different activities & lessons (ballet, hip-hop, swimming, bowling, rock climbing, etc.) for our autistic daughter unsuccessfully. Something clicked at CHTA. She’s eager to learn and looks forward to class. We’re impressed with Mr. Anderson’s ability to simultaneously be a respected teacher requiring discipline from the kids while remaining humorous and fun (class ends with dodgeball and the kids leave feeling giggly & happy). My daughter started taking classes from Castle Hills Taekwondo at the end of last summer. We checked out other schools, but the energy that the Andersons bring into this school was different. They are very welcoming and down to earth. We felt like family the first day! In just a few short weeks after our daughter started taking classes, she signed up for her school talent show. This shocked us all because she had always been a very shy little girl. She performed her white belt form and one-step combinations and then broke some boards. Mrs. Anderson even came to the show in full uniform to hold the boards for her! We knew then that we had found some very special people who truly cared about the welfare of our children! And we were delighted that our daughter had found the confidence, through taekwondo, to step outside of her comfort zone. Since that time, my husband, my son and I have all become taekwondo students! We all appreciate the discipline taekwondo is teaching our family. My kids (and my husband and I) are always excited about going to class, and we know that we will be challenged each time we walk through the door!

My son loved it ! He doesnt care that one among the older kids in the beginner classer which itself is proof that he loves it . The Andersons are so friendly and very responsive as well .

Our three very different children all attend classes at Castle Hills Taekwondo. The changes and growth we have seen in them has been just amazing. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson have taught them to be part of the group and still be unique individuals. The lessons they have learned in perseverance, humility, compassion, assertiveness and respect could not be taught by us alone. They have learned that the world is bigger than just them. They are eager to go to class and really enjoy it. They choose to attend between 4 to 6 classes each week. Our shy son is now competing at National Tournaments and even teaching classes. Our oldest son has grown into a nurturing and respectful young man with the help of the lessons he has learned here. Our daughter who is very competitive now cheers when someone else does well (even if they beat her) and she will be the first to encourage someone who is having a hard time. They still work very hard to be the best, the difference is that they don’t give up, they just keep trying.They say it takes a village to raise a child….The Andersons and Taekwondo America are a very important part of that village.

Our son was taking lesson at another dojo, he liked it, but there was always a struggle to get him there. I dont want to go to karate was a common answer. He did well and even competed in a few tournaments where he was awarded trophies, but he never seemed really into it.At one point he took a break for a couple of months, but returned. He lasted only a few more months and then started talking about quitting. We werent sure what to do...I didnt want to teach him that quitting something is the first step, but also I didnt want to force him to do something he didnt enjoy. A friend of ours suggested that we try another dojo. I did some research and talked with Mr. Anderson on the phone.I felt very comfortable almost immediately, and we soon took him up on some trial classes. What stood out is the fact that Mr A, did not take the obvious approach and try to get our business at all cost, but he suggested I talk with the Master from the other dojo and try to work something out. I already had, and my son still had the same issues. He also suggested a different dojo that was slightly closer to our house.From the very first lesson, Castle Hills was a much better experience.We signed up within the first week. They are GREAT with kids.There is a good mixture of discipline, lesson and fun. Mr & Mrs Anderson are especially great at interacting with the students. Each student is greeted as they walk in the door by name, and usually with a personalized question about their life. The lessons are presented with humor and fun, while being effective at training.They play dodgeball at the end of every lesson, which isfun and also effective training for defense
